Took all three grand kids to the movies today. Stopped and had lunch before the movie. Took them to see the new Transformer movie.  Very loud and very long. They all loved it. It's been awhile since we all of all been together having an outing.

You've inspired me.  Think I will go to the movies tomorrow.  Last time I went I saw "Horton Gives a Who" or something like that.  Any suggestions anyone?  You can tell what kind of movies I favor.

You & me both Sister.  I haven
t seen Frozen but hear it was good. Don't know if it's still out in the theaters or not. But did take youngest grandson to see the Lego movie. It was cute.

I watched Frozen at home last night - checked it out at the library.  It was cute.  Not sure it was as great as I had heard.

My daughter went to see Fault in our Stars.  Haven't see it but read the book.  It's a tear jerker and PG17 I believe.

I don't tach many movies or go to the theaters either- but that is my two cents.

Thanks Caddy (shack) lol,
I heard it is a tear jerker too.  I have enough of that in my real world.
Going out today to help find a friend's son.  It hasn't even made the papers yet.  He went missing Monday.  His name is Shane Gandy.  Everyone please be in prayer.  His Mom believes he is a runaway.
Blessings.

Looks like he's contacted his family so he's probably ok:

Thanks everyone!  yes, he contacted his Mom -- he is in North Carolina.  Talked with her last night, she is so relieved.  I can only imagine!  Again, many thanks!

Special prayers for all who may be or have loved ones/friends who may be in the path of Hurricane Arthur.  Though it is only a Hurricane 1 -- please be very careful.

Hope everyone had a fun and blessed Independance Day!  We are finishing out our weekend with little man's 8th birthday party - seems like just yesterday he was a baby. Great weather here, good food to be had, warm pool to swim in and good people to hang with. What a blessed day!

How do you inspire a 54 year old woman, in a nursing home that cannot speak, not to give up?  We all need hope . . .

How are her hands?  Can she knit or crochet?  Could she crochet baby bonnets for infants and donate to hospitals?  Or scarves/sashes for older people who get cold easy?  It would give her something to do.  I'm sure you could get donated yarn.

Would you be able to bring a very calm dog or therapy dog for her to see and pet?  When my Dad was ill and had been hospitalized for a long time,  I asked the nurses if there was any way he could be in a wheel chair to bring him down to the patio area at the hospital so he could see his little dog.   I felt it would bring his spirits up.  To my surprise the hospital allowed me to bring the dog up to his room.  She jumped out of my hands onto his bed and began rubbing her head on his chin and neck.  Dad had tears of joy.  I really thing this helped him rally from a very bad time.

You are absolutely right Sister.  We all need hope...

Thank you for the ideas.  She can only used one hand.  Her right hand and arm don't work at all.
Additionally, in order to count stitches, she counts out loud and then gets confused and has to start again.  Her mind is not the same anymore.  This is so hard for her.
