Hope that all the monkeys that are in the path of the storms stay safe! They sound wicked.

Morning Monkeys

Cookie long time no see.  How are you doing?

Brandi How are you? Waiting to hear to your news.

TMB  Those storms were nasty. How are you and the family?

4Donks hope you are doing better. No more falls.

Caddy how are you and the fur babies doing?

Looks like we got the car stuff taken care of.  One of the perks of having your daughter as your insurance agent. She handled every thing.  We are getting a cash settlement to fix the car. But can't make another claim with them for the car.  So hubs has decided to fix it himself.

Dodged the bullet as far as the storms are concerned...it was all around us but we were left wet but unscathed.
No more falls GE. A plastic surgeon had to fix my broken cheek bone but that was out patient surgery and I'm doing fine. Should have had him do a little nip and tuck while he was working on the face.

4donks - glad you missed the storms and the surgery went well.

We are good here. Wet but not too cold yet!  Tired from the back to school routine. Middle child is becoming quite the hunter. It is amazing to see a kid that could not sit still for a second a year or two ago now sitting outside for hours completely still and quiet. Very cool!

Glad you  didn't get hit from the storms. Very happy to hear your healing from your fall. That had to hurt.

I now have two baby feral cats in my bathroom. They had yucky eyes. Not sure why. But trying to catch them to clean their eyes just wasn't working. So the last time I told hubs we have to keep them in the house until we can clear them up. The one is doing well. The other one was so bad I didn't know if I would be able to save her. She had nasty stuff running out of her eyes and nose. She couldn't open her eyes and could hardly breathe. So started mixing some antibiotics in some kitty formula and giving it to her 3 times a day. She now has her eyes open and not very much yuck in them. Wash her little face off every time I give her her meds. Sill not sure how well she is seeing yet. She might have to become an inside cat if her vision isn't good.

I am looking for advice:

My mom is in assisted living.  She was wearing diapers at night but now says she has to wear them during the day.  She says they are too bulky under her slacks and is embarrassed.

Do y'all have any experience with different adult diapers for women that may not be so bulky under her pants?  She does not wear dresses or skirts.

Thanks, my friends!!

Maybe one of these would work for daytime?

Hi Monkeys

Up date on baby ferals. Both are doing well the little girl hasn't had any yuck her eyes for about three days. The little boy is also clear of yuck in his eyes. But he is blind in his left eye. Which makes me sad. But at least it's only one eye and not both. They are both doing well eating and drinking like little pigs.   The little guy will most likely be an inside only cat. Will have to see how well he does with one eye. Need to take and get both fixed but they are to little yet.

Good morning,

Thought Mr. Jenkins was going to die last night.  Started yesterday afternoon and by nightfall he could hardly move.  Yelped when I touched him, would cry out -- so I stroked him all night and prayed so hard for him.  He is much better today and I am so relieved.  Have no idea what was wrong.  Belle was giving him lots of loving last night.
I'm going to take a nap.  Feeling so grateful.

Prayers and Blessings to all.

Oh my! What a horrible experience you all endured.

So happy to hear he is better today, but what the heck happened? Maybe a vet visit is in order? I sure hope it was not an episode that might recur.

How sweet of Belle to be so protective and caring.

Get some rest, that kind of thing involving stress takes so much out of you.

What a good cat mother you are, Green Eyes!

We have a couple of feral (I think) cats that frequent the front of our property and who sometimes duck under the driveway gate and stroll down the drive. They appear to be adults and I only see them when I am in my office looking out a front window at my desk.

They may have nearby homes and just like to come and spend time here, I dunno.

I heard they intimidate (chase) ground hogs, and I am all for that, since we have a least two ground hogs, and they are destructive to vegetation. They eat my tomatoes and ate all the flower tops off of 3 huge chrysanthemums I had in the yard. I actually watched one of them climb over our fence, shimmy his way down and help himself to a meal of my flowers!

Cadillac, you have ESP.

I made a webpage last night to share with you all:
http://users17.jabry.com/eenie91/PANDA/Panda.html

A far cry from a Golden to a herding dog, but Panda is as sweet as they come and adjusting quite well. She had been in the shelter since August, having been brought in by animal control. The officer who picked her up came over to the car as we were putting her in to come home. She was very happy she was being adopted. She told us that the dog was found outside a Food Lion (grocery store.) She had been accompanying a homeless man who came to the store almost every day and waited outside while he went in. That is all we know. Check out the URL Wink

Brandi - what a beautiful pup Panda is!

Thank you Klaas. And thanks for the Golden Rescue link. I had searched (online) the Golden rescues near us, and that was one. We just decided to go to the local shelter and see who needed a home and who might be a good fit for us.

Panda is settling in so well. We took her to Petco today. And she behaved so well! Not one bark out of her, and she was happy to meet the other dogs there. She was an angel. (We were surprised. LOL) She also had her 4th car ride with us today and has really learned how to ride like a lady. Got her a Kong Genuis at the Petco to help stimulate her mind and she worked on that for a very long time. We spent a lot of time outside with her today too, so she got a lot of exercise. Excellent day for us all.

Did you notice the monkey squeaky toy in the pictures? Hubby got that for her the first night we got her. And, it is still in one piece with all the stuffing! She has decided that it belongs in her bed. She plays with it and when she is done, takes it religiously back to her bed! So funny. I think it's her herding instinct. Everything has to be in its rightful place. heh
