Happy Spring

« Reply #2700 on: March 19, 2015, 10:23:35 AM »

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

My avatar got lost in the sauce!

I forgot the technique to repost it.

Instructions for changing avatars:
Click on Profile at the top of this page, then go to "Forum Profile Information" on the left ... then under Picture, click the "I will upload my own picture" option and add the URL of the avatar to it. Then scroll down to the bottom and click the "Change profile" button. And, voila! Your avatar is updated.

If you don't wish to upload it, you can click on "I have my own pic" and add the URL to your image.

Good morning,

Brandi, Thank-you.  I have that recipe written in stone Smile  It is those menacing little msg...things.  I have the avatars saved just cannot successfully transfer to forum profile.
The little key initials, before and after the link is my problem.  I tried to put a Easter avatar, and it did not work - maybe the puter is frozen.  Smile

Have a good day.  OMG is it cold.  I think we are being punished by this brutal winter.
Thank-you

Seahorse if all else fails ask Klaas to do it for you. Hopefully winter is about over for everyone. Sending warm thoughts your way.

I am here. Leg is getting better everyday. I love that the weather is warming up but not that I am stuck in the house!  Ah, this too shall pass!

TBM  It's wonderful that winter is coming to an end.  Glad your leg is getting better. You will be out and about in no time. Continued Prayers for a speedy recovery. an angelic monkey

Happy First Full Day of Spring!

Picked these from the side of the house yesterday! There's hope that the Winter weather is coming to an end.

This Winter has been a bit rough on me. I am not a Winter person! So happy to see signs of Spring!

Wishing you all a wonderful, happy and healthy Spring 2015!

Your flowers are pretty Brandi. Our first days of spring we have had rain and more rain. Starting tomorrow we are suppose to have sunshine.

Have been having to get up before dawn to get granddaughter to work. So my schedule is all off.

Hope you are doing well.

Monkeys need to go over to the Prayer request thread or Musings. Our CBB needs our prayers. an angelic monkey

I am getting better everyday - very little pain - back to the docs tomarrow and hopeing for partial weight bearing!  I am getting out a bit but with the scooter I am limited to paved areas so no playing in the yard yet. But soon! Thanks for asking!

That's wonderful news TBM.  You will be able to get out and about more soon.

Hi GE - thanks for asking.  My niece is doing quite well.  Her eprex injections, along w/iron have raised her hemoglobin levels from 90 to 101 to 133 which is in the normal range, so she is feeling stronger.  Also she is motivated to take care of herself with a renal diet.  We have been attending evening workshops.  Facilitators include someone from the kidney foundation, a nurse, dietician and social worker.  Learning about renal diets and cooking meals accordingly. The group have exchanged emails so there will be a support system in place for her with other chronic kidney disease sufferers after the group ends.  One lady wants to meet with us at a pastry/coffee shop when sessions end.  (Coffee and pastry, apart from homemade, are no no's.)

My brother has begun a day program twice a week as recommended by his stroke team.
He keeps telling me he wants to come down for a week.  He has a real bee in his bonnet.  Truly didn't ever expect him to be strong enough to make the trip again.  Have told him that when he is ready, we will pick him up.  So, we shall see.

Mom is doing well.  In fact we are off to meet our out of town cousin today for lunch at a casino.

Thanks for asking and as always, wishing the best for you and yours. xoxo

TBM - Glad to hear you are not experiencing a lot of pain, and that you can get out on paved areas on your scooter to breathe in some nice fresh spring air.

Went back to the doc today. First cast off and new one on. It was the first time I got to see the incision. It is HUGE - at least 4 inches. No weight bearing for another 4 weeks!  I may just go crazy . . . . But it would be a short drive since I am normally half crazy!

Well, sounds like it is healing nicely. Of course the incision is large, TMB. Remember what they did? heh

Too bad you have to wait another 4 weeks until you can begin bearing weight on it though. At least you have that scooter thingy to get around!

I was working on making you a monkey in a wheelchair, but you aren't in a wheelchair. Not sure I can make a knee scooter thingy.

Hang in there, all of this will be worth it!

WOW Can that is great news about your niece. It sounds like you are the one to take her to the doctors etc. What a wonderful Auntie. I am sure you gladly do it now she has made the decision to take care of herself. Prayers your brother gets strong enough to make the trip to come see you. Making that a goal I would think will help him get stronger. Hope you had a great time at lunch with your cousins.

We are maintaining here. It seems we have gone straight from winter to summer.  Monkey Devil! I was informed we are having youngest grandsons birthday here.  Monkey Devil!  So grandma can make his birthday dinner. I don't thing daughter wanted to make Easter dinner this year. As his birthday falls on Easter Sunday. I told her at Thanksgiving I was turning over the cooking reins for holiday meals. I had been doing it for 45 years.

That's great you have made it thru the first steps. As busy as you are with everything I am sure you are going a little crazy. But when it's all done & over you will be good as new.
