Another update....

They did my CAT scan and staging early and I will be officially done.......July 2nd.

So looking forward to everything going back to normal. It takes 2-4 weeks after the last radiation and chemo to get rid of the side effects. Happy Dance

Back from Texas. Lilly flew on the airplane with me. She went under the seat in her travel crate? She did not let out a peep either on the plane, the hotel or the car rides? Hubs and I jut look at each other and say, is this puppy for real? She is truly the best puppy ever! After all that we went thru with Maniac Molly, we are so thrilled! Lilly is so calm and good natured.
She and  Molly love each other and play and love each other.

Glad everyone Is doing ok.
4 donks.....special thoughts to you .

Welcome back from Texas.

What a sweetie Lilly was. I have to say, when you said she did not let out a peep, I read that as poop. LOL

So glad Molly and Lilly are becoming buddies!

Hi Brandi

It is very quiet for sure. I have read just haven't said much. I think having teenagers around and their drama has worn me out.

How is your neighbor doing? Think about you & him daily you guys are in my prayers. The family I grew up with since I was 5 and they became second parents and their sons became like brothers to me. Just had to place the mom in a facility for Alzheimer's/ Dementia  Just has broken everybody's hearts. She only has 20% of her cognitive ability left and has turned violent to her husband and youngest son.

Turned out well for him, although he isn't so sure of that. His sister who lives down at the beach (~1 hour drive away) opened up her home to him. He went there when he was released from the hospital. He has his own big room and bathroom and lives with her and her husband. He keeps saying he is "coming home" because up here is where he lives and his doctor gave him a clean bill of health. (That cannot be true.) I am still paying his bills for him and trying to sell his truck. I believe his truck will be sold this weekend. Have someone coming to see it on Saturday. We got some of his household accounts closed (phone and cable.) Just need to get the truck sold so he has no more insurance bills and need to get his home sold. We have left the power on for now, which is another bill, but I am hoping it will be the minimum this month. He needs the money, as he is living on Social Security. He has clear moments as well as very mixed up moments, which is normal for dementia.

Want to get his truck sold before he changes his mind. He will no longer be able to drive, although sometimes he thinks he will. So it's a delicate situation, as he changes his mind about everything all the time.

So sorry to hear about the mom's experience with dementia. It's a nasty progressive disease, for sure.

Teenagers? I don't envy you. LOL

Thanks for your post Wink

That is good news he is at sisters home. Hope you get his truck sold soon. Before he changes his mind. They seem to do that a lot. Bless your heart for all you have done for him.

As for the teenagers    They are up down with their emotions it is hard sometimes to keep up with them.

Super bad weather coming our way. Tornado possibilities, large hail and saturated ground so the winds can knock over trees and power lines. It's almost here.

Hi all.
Brandi...u r so sweet for looking out for your elderly neighbor. We need more people to do that for our neighbors.

I have been really busy with the grand daughters since school is out. I have been tired this week since traveling to Texas and back. Don't know how my hubs travels so much . Makes me appreciate him all the more.
I fly to Yakima Washington next Friday to surprise my mom on her 80th birthday. Then I am home for a few days and then we head down to the lake for a 9 day vacation with all our kids and grand kids. We will b worn out by the time we are done with that! But, we are lucky that we get to go.

I am O'Hare airport right now waiting for hubs to fly in ...

Well, I was in the process of shutting down my computer when we lost power. I didn't accomplish my goal. LOL A huge tree up at the main road (our power lines are buried where we live) blew down all the way across the road, blocking it in both directions for hours!

We lost power for 6 full hours while they took care of the tree and fixed the above ground wires up there.

So lucky we did not get the hail they were saying we were going to get. I went out on the deck and the yard and covered the glass top tables and just hoped the hail would not damage our car. (No garage.) But all was fine.

Didn't notice the real high winds (70+ mph) they were also calling for. The ground is saturated from our last downpour a few days ago, so again, good we did not get that high of winds here at our house.

We listened to a radio during the power outage and there were reports of trees down and power outages all over.

So all in all, a 6 hour power outage is all we had to deal with, so we lucked out. Wink

Thanks for all your concern!

Whew!  I'm glad you checked in to let us know you're okay Brandi.  The forecast gave such potential for damage.    Six hours without power would feel like an eternity.
