Brandi, is it possible for you to make a handcuffed perp monkey that we can put up with the emoticons, when you have some time?  Please?

Not sure it would be appropriate to put handcuffs on a monkey!

We're all law-abiding, right? Wink

Here's a set of handcuffs if you like:

Babybear, congrats on your new romance/love life!

I must tell you that an age spread can work out very well. My husband is 13 years younger than I and we couldn't be happier. Been together since 1997 (in a long distance relationship until 1999) and got married in 2001.

Best wishes for your continued happiness!

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday yesterday.

It's the first 4th of July where we did not have a cookout with Ray. (The next door neighbor who is now living with his sister, diagnosed with dementia recently.)

Hubby and I started up tennis again and went to the courts to practice. There's a backboard there and I find that is the best way for me to practice. I used to play every day for many years. Haven't played for about 15 years and found out that it's not so easy to just pick up where I left off. LOL My forearm muscle is weak! And my footwork abilities have gotten very rusty. I took a fall running back for a high return and scraped my shin on the surface, so now I am a bit gun-shy about running. I realized I haven't run in a long time, nor moved fast. heh

We bought a medicine ball to start getting more flexible and stronger. Gonna try to do a couple exercises with it every evening outside.

Babysteps, my husband says. He thinks I'll get back to being a good tennis player eventually. Boy, my advice is don't get old, and if you cannot do that, do not stop an activity that you love, just keep doing it!

Good afternoon,

Well, I had a nice 4th.
Dennis invited Connie and I to his house for a cookout.  That was so very kind of him.  Took Belle with me (love me, love my dog).
I guess since I got Belle, we had never ridden with the windows down.  She was so funny -- guess she never had that experience before.  I watched her in my side mirror.  She stuck her nose out, just a little, bring it back in, little again, back in, little farther, back in.  It probably took her a full 10 minutes to get her precious head in the wind -- boy, did she love it.  She is just too adorable.
Cookie, how are you making out with your new puppy?
Babybear, wonderful to hear your good news.  Dennis wants us to give our relationship another try.
That's about it from here.
Blessings to all of you.

Hi Monkeys   I finely heard from Trimm today.   She ask me to tell you all HI and she thinks about everyone all the time and we are all in her prayers.  Not much has changed went back to court last week again with azz wipe.    She said Judge finely intervened and he is having a survey done on the property and she is hoping then she will be able to sale and get out of dodge. Said Digger was still doing his squirrel thing. I was very happy to hear from her.

That's wonderful!

Cookie, Lilly is a dream dog!

Hi Sister!

Oh, another try with Dennis? Cool!

I bet Belle loved her ride.

But I can't in good conscience not mention how dangerous it is for dogs to hang their heads out the window. Their eyes are the most susceptible to flying debris. The same debris that leaves little chips on the paint and in the windshield. They make goggles, called Doggles  to help protect dog's eyes. But then even with those, the dogs are susceptible to ear injuries when the wind is flapping them. Not to mention the possibility of the dog jumping or falling (with a quick stop) out of the window at fast speeds.

Don't mean to come off sounding stuffy, just felt the need to share those concerns. Dogs love all the new smells they get bombarded with when the window is open, but they can enjoy them with the window cracked, open enough to enjoy but not enough to stick their head out.

Glad you had a great Fourth of July and that you are enjoying Belle once again!

Good morning Monkeys!

4Donks - I admire your spirit and endurance.  Continued prayers.

JSM - Your sister and her babies are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sister-  Safe and happy travels home with Belle.

Cookie - Lilly is adoreable.

Bearly - caregiver prayers.

Baby Bear - Good to see you back!  A long time ago I recall a post from you saying that wonderful things were happening in your life (or something close to that)...then a long absence.  Recalling you liked to travel, I imagined you had found your Shangri-la/Camelot.  Take care.

GE - Hi.

All the best to all the Monkeys!

Thank you, I need them!

Hi everybody--I hope everyone is well and I just read that 4Donks had her last treatment.

I didn't want to mention this when people were going through such a hard time, but I will tell you why I had this exciting thing going on in my life.  I have a boyfriend who is 10 years younger than I, is 6'3" and works out almost every day.  For some reason he thinks I'm great.  I am indeed a lucky woman.

Happy Fourth.

Here's a set of handcuffs if you like:

I am being misunderstood all over the place, maybe that shot did more harm than I thought.  I am not trying to hurt honest monkeys.  In fact, the suggestion I made was to do just the opposite.

It was hard for me to get used to at first, Brandi, but if you look around, we live in Monkey-land here and all of the important props are Monkeys.  For example, monkeys get popped out of jack-in-the-boxes, poke each others with sticks, stick their tongues out at each other, and other things.  All monkeys are not good, we have had some doozies that have passed through here.  I thought they represented the outside world, too, not just those who live/have lived in the cage.

The reason I suggested it was because I noticed a lot of people using the hanging Monkey, I thought a perp-walk was better than a hanging.  Hangings, to me, have the connotation of conviction without a fair trial and can have other connotations to other people.  Every time I see it, it makes me flinch.

To another Monkey, I merely said, "I think we need a pair of handcuffs/a handcuffed perp, either one."  The other person responded, they liked the idea of a "perp monkey."  I then asked you if you could do it, hoping to see the handcuffed perp as a less-lethal choice.  I did not talk to the other person about hangings vs. cuffed, that is something I battle with in my own head.

So, to clarify, we live in a monkey world and the emoticons seen here, except if they represent a particular person--like Joran, etc. represent some generic Monkey/person and that is all I was asking for, not a bunch of innocent monkeys getting hurt or some monkey erotica.

Brandi - I suggested to Bearly she ask if you could do a "handcuffed/perp monkey".  You are so good and right now (because of my Bell's Palsy) my vision isn't as good as it should be and it's hard to concentrate.  As a matter of fact, I figured you probably already made one, you've made so many cute ones!

Sounds great.  They recommended using a ball for my Mom, but we got something at the under 5 store that worked just as well.

I always wanted to play tennis.  My son played tennis on the Middle School team.  I have 4 brothers and no sisters and played just about every sport you can imagine.  I did take tennis lessons, but there was no one at home to practice with.  They were more into hockey sticks than tennis rackets.

As for getting old, I think I would much rather get old than the opposite choice.

I am glad you had such a great 4th.  I think giving a relationship another try is wonderful, as long as you are getting what you need and not giving too much of yourself.  There is so little of you left to go around these days with all that is going on in your life.

I lost my Uncle this week and there is so much truth to the saying of the caretaker going first.  I hope this time Dennis realizes the jewel he has in you and he is someone who will help make you shine.

Best of luck in your relationship and please take care of yourself.  It is always lovely to have someone to share your life with.  I am rooting for you!!!

I hope you feel better really soon.
