Ha ha Trimmy

I just did a load of clothes - and pulled them out of the dryer.  Apparently the NEW navy blue pair of shorts of hubs was not to be washed with my panties.  All my panties are blue now - argh.

Trying to soak them.

Hi monkeys!

Been overwhelmed with events in my life lately, but think of you all so often.

    an angelic monkey

Hey can!  I have missed you!

Hi Bearly,
Thanks, have missed you too!  See you haven't lost your sense of humour.

It's more a coping strategy, I think.  Like it or hate it, it's mine.  I apologize to those who like nice clean humor and don't like people poking fun of the everyday life events.  I hope it doesn't offend anyone.  Never was one for crude language, though.

I really have missed seeing you and often wonder about your family.  Can we get an update?

Well it's a darn good coping strategy!  Not only that, it brings smiles to many, myself included.
Thank you.
How are you and your son, parents, all?  Cubbie is all grown now.  Where does the time go?

Any update I can give on my family is not too positive I'm afraid.
What can I say that is positive?  Have seen daughter and family several times over the summer. Grandkids are enchanting, lively and smart.  They love the novelty of picking fruit and veggies from Nonno's garden.   They were up on ladders picking peaches a couple of weeks ago, Grandma holding on to them and the ladder for dear life.  Aidan, who is 4 wanted only the most perfect unblemished ones.
Son was here for a nice visit. Took his Dad to his cottage for a few days.  Male bonding and all that good stuff.
Also did some fun stuff with me and his Gran.
Hubs vertigo has been in remission for quite a while
My darling bro is very ill.  He has cancer in both lungs and the bladder removal surgery he had about one year ago has left scarring that has caused blockage in kidneys and ureter.  He will have a day surgery this week to relieve some of the pressure.  It's a stop gap measure and he requires major surgery to remove the scar tissue but not until he has lung surgery.
He was given two to four months a couple of weeks ago. The lung specialist and the bladder
specialist have consulted and have offered surgery.  He has decided to take his chances with the surgeries.  Not much of a choice is it.  Left lung first.  He desperately wanted to visit me for a week and tell our Mom - spend time with us.
He told me this is the only thing he had in his bucket list, as he put it, and now sadly he cannot come.
That is out of the question now, and we have arranged that since my Mom was already scheduled to visit me and stay overnight on Friday he will call her at my place so she is not alone after the news.  I will keep her here with us for as long as she wants to be here.
I can't imagine how devastating this will be for my Mom and I'm trying to prepare myself, will myself to have the strength to handle this. Afraid she will collapse.

Her husband has not adapted to the nursing home and has recently been moved to another floor.  She was called by a nurse today and asked to come today to see if she could get him away from the door where he stands trying to get out.(locked unit)   She lives out of town and I am the only source to take her there. Mom called very upset and I called the Dir. of Care and told her if my Mother could manage him, he would still be at home with her.  His nature is to be very oppositional. In short, it's a hot mess.
His own daughter took him out of the facility for a three day visit @ her home.  She could not manage him and returned him to the facility the same day.

Ending on the positive note that thankfully, hubs is very supportive and he loves my brother, like a brother.

I know bearly, there will be prayers for Gary, and I thank you in advance.  xoxo

Prayers for all of you.  Glad to hear the good news.  So sorry to hear about your brother and the news your Mom will hear.  I think your Mother's husband will be fine after a while.  I see people do this all the time where my Parents are and they eventually do calm down.  I hope it is soon.  Maybe they could give him some medication for anxiety if that is what the problem is.  It sucks getting old.

God bless you, my friend.

Hi to all monkeys.

G. E. - I know somewhere there is a post from you that I did not reply to.
Hope you and yours are well. I expect your visit your in-laws is almost at it's end.
After being the hostess with the mostest, as I'm sure you've been, please take some special time for yourself.

4Donks - how are you doing?

Sister - hope you're enjoying your getaway and return refreshed.

Cookie - how are you and hubs, grands and fur babies?

Brandi - congrats on your hard work and your renewed improved health.  I know it's not easy to say no to biscuits and other treats.  Biscuits/scones are one of my favorite things , with butter!  I allow occasionally.

Teyve - you've got more courage than I have in my little finger.  Enjoy your place in the wilderness.

Klaas - Sorry you have had to deal with Bell's palsy but glad to hear you are almost over it, it seems.

JSM -  - how are you sweet pea?  always thinking and wishing the best for you.

Babs -  is that hot weather over with.  Hope you're finally able to muck about in your garden.

Muffy - - see you're still buzzin' around.  always good to see you.

Trimmy - said hello to you already.  can I have a biscuit, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeze!

babybear - hope you're still counting your blessings and enjoying the special person in your life.  Oh and does he have a friend for our sweet bear?

texasmom - thanks for keeping us informed on the Dylan thread.   an angelic monkey

Hi all.
Hubs is home recovering from diverticulitis surgery on Monday. He is doing so well. He says he feels better than he has in years, even after his operation. I am enjoying him being home.

Hope everyone is doing well. Catching up on posts.

Good for you, GE! Normal is good.

We are having all 3 grands this weekend, the Mister doesn't know about it yet, and they are bringing their dog. Good thing all three dogs get along. Now all I have to do is clean this darn mess of a house up, and we're set. Sweet DIL bought all kinds of frozen food, so I don't have to cook. She EVEN bought (get this!) FROZEN PANCAKES!!!  I am so beat already (we're 2 people down in the office this week, guess who gets to do everyone else's work?) I don't know how I'll make it thru. Oh well, if things get bad, we'll go out to the cottage and I'll have them plant daffodils by the hundreds for me!!

(Oh, work is so bad that I'm making jokes about "just shoot me now..oh, wait, I can do that for myself!" and pointing to my hidden gun. I AM joking.....but I need a new job, or a better boss.)
