Thank You Brandi    How are you doing with the cold back there?  I know I am crazy but wish we would get some snow. In my defense when we get snow here it usually only stays around for a few days. And it's never more than a foot. 

I just recently received copies of my Great Grandfathers journals from 1935 - 1939 . At this time he was in Montana. He talks about it being -34 etc. And how the weather was getting weird going from above freezing to below in a day etc. I thought gee that sounds familiar.

  You and me both Brandi After reading his journals it really hit home how things really haven't changed. Just different people and times. But the basic stuff is the same.

Won't get above freezing today. The weekend looks a lot better. The gate across the driveway was frozen in place and it took me an hour to get it opened. The motor worked but the wheel was frozen to the ground and I had to get a shovel and dig around and under it to free it up. Not my favorite thing.

Hope everyone gets a reprieve from freezing weather before the next front arrives.

Won't get above freezing today. The weekend looks a lot better. The gate across the driveway was frozen in place and it took me an hour to get it opened. The motor worked but the wheel was frozen to the ground and I had to get a shovel and dig around and under it to free it up. Not my favorite thing.

It's amazing the things that freeze when we have really cold weather! Glad you got free.

It hasn't been even near, let alone above freezing since around noon on Tuesday here. Been down in the single digits at night and only the teens and low 20s during the day. It's 18º now, with the sun shining!

They are promising it will be 34º sometime tomorrow.

So hard on the furnace, running all the time.

Been feeding the birds. There is still snow on the ground. Kids have been out of school every day this week.

I hope everyone is doing okay during this crazy cold.

Looks like we, too will be in for all those hours (days and nights) of sub-freezing temps. UGH.

Thought we were just about out of the woods. Waiting for tomorrow to finally get above freezing. Been about 84 hours below freezing this week.

Hi Monkeys Hope everyone's doing well. We are having a beautiful day here. Trying to get some house work done.  Have oldest grand daughter & youngest grandson here with me. So really not getting much done.

Well, today is my day off  --lol -- headed later to the nursing home to see Connie.  She was crying on the phone yesterday.  I know she must be tired just laying in bed so much and wants to go home.  Will take her some cappacinuo (sp) that always makes us feel better.

Wanted to thank everyone for lighting candles for Connie.  It means so much to me.

Hi everybody! Sooooo cold here. We have had the worst winter this year! I hate the cold. School cancelled today and tomorrow. I can not imagine a little kid standing outside waiting for a bus in this wind chill!
Read all your posts. Things are looking up for some of u it sounds like. Great news.
