Good morning monkeys!  Happy late Mothers day to all out there. Had a great weekend with lots of family and love. Got a stupid cold which is not good but par for the course when it goes from 50 to 90 in 24 hours!

Hi the boyzmom,

I just got rid of a stupid cold, scary because that stupid cold, can travel to the brain.

I think a cold is dangerous because it seems innocent, but it can do so much damage.

Remember to take good care of yourself, after you think your cold is gone, because your resistance may be low and the stupid
cold can return.

I always think of the Muffets creator, Jim Hanson?  He died (I believe) of walking ammonia?

How do people not know they have walking ammonia?

Hi Seahorse,

How you doing?  I have had walking pneumonia while it isn't fun for the most part it's not as bad as regular pneumonia. Sometimes like with Jim Hanson going without treatment for to long can put you in the hospital and cause death.

Hows the weather in your neck of the woods? We got some much needed rain here in North Texas yesterday. We need more but it was wonderful to get what we did. Since it was cooler we didn't have to worry about tornado's. Which was wonderful. Hope you have a great week.

Hi Green eyes,

May I please ask you how long did it take for your walking ammonia to clear up?  Do you know how you got it, Green eyes?

I know a cashier was coughing on me, can it be spread by a cough?  Thank-you.

Thank-you for asking, the weather is clear, sunny, and mild.

We ate outside today, grilled chicken, and Spring salad mix, I am happy.

I will always miss Texas.  There is no place quite like Texas.  Smile

It must be a thrill to drive straight, without hills.

Hi Seahorse

Walking pneumonia really isn't as bad as regular pneumonia. It can be caused by other things than viruses or bacteria. And can be easily treated with antibiotics. Because the germ doesn't have a cell wall so antibiotics works so much faster to kill the germ.

Not sure how I got it. I just thought I had a cold that  went into a chest cold. Coughing a lot etc. At the time I was worn down physically. Just trying to do to much without the proper rest. Bye the time I got to the doctor I was pretty sick. It took about a week and a half to get it all cleared up. Probable a good month before I felt like I was among the living again.

It is contagious and can spread from coming into contact with someone that has it by coughing or sneezing on you. Usually takes about 15 - 25 days after you are exposed. I wouldn't worry to much about it Seahorse. Just get proper rest and eat right. If you start feeling like you are getting the flu go see your doctor.

That pretty much sums up Texas no hills. The straight I am not to sure about. The country roads around here make so many turns I sometime feel like who ever made them had to be tipsy.  There are times I miss the mountains.

Sounds like you are having nice weather. Hopefully the brutal winter is over. We were hot last week this week it's cool. Go figure. Glad you are doing okay.

Green Eyes

Thank-you for walking me through the details for walking ammonia.

I gain so much knowledge from you and Brandi

So I ended up with a slight case of pneumonia - the doc put me on meds and cough syrup. I am drinking lots of fluid and resting a bunch. Timing is not good though since I am heading to Pittsburgh for a Karate tournament tomorrow afternoon.

Hope all of the rest of you are doing great!

TBM  Get as much rest as you can TBM.  Take all your meds.    Hoping you start to feel better soon. Good luck with your tournament. Is it for you or one of the boys?  Have a safe trip.

It is for me - youngest did not want to go even though he was eligible. Too bad for him!

Hi friends,

Sorry I haven't posted in a while.  Connie tried to kill herself, so I have been dealing with those issues.  She is still in the hospital. Very tired, but otherwise . . .
God is good -- many blessings.

Sister - I'm so sorry Connie is going through so much and that you are having to deal with it too.  It's so difficult.  You are a strong woman!

Thank you everyone!

Now she has fallen in the hospital and they are doing scans to make sure she is okay.  I want to run away from home -- but then I would need to take the dog -- be back by Sunday to preach -- oh! never mind.  Going to go take a nap!  It's the only escape I have besides playing with my delightful Belle.
