Yeah, Lord knows this wasn't major...    If you are gonna go down there and let them do whatever they want, how does that make you a chaperone?

I hope they all had to pay for their own tickets and rooms at least since they didn't bother to even watch the kids.

CNN reported earlier today the the captain said the boat did not sail sunday night.  the captain has also tol cnn that the boat has not been searched nor has Steves car.  CNN also taked to the cyber cafe owner who said joran was a regular and that the police have not seized any of the hard drives off those computers.  nancy grace is flabbergasted.  o'rielly is pissed.  poor aruba.  needs better pr to make americans undertand.

Also, I been studying the "Evlen Woodhead Sped Riddin Corse" so I can keep up with you ppl.  Based on prev. posts, I guess I risk offending(hope not) but wanted to say hi.  Thought it might be OK, newbies or not.  Hope I'm welcome!  I'll try to stay in shadows and not let y'all know what I know. Amy, pretty much, with all that was provided in the last 3 weeks, we have determined not to blame anybody but the ones that took Natalee.  There is a lot of fact to back that up.  There are other boards still debating that.  We resolved it here - they aren't to blame.

What made me skeptical of "panty guy" when I saw the broadcast..is that he described the panties to the reporter to a T. Now how many guys would be able to describe something perfectly..right down to "vimins pawnties viv flowvers"they just picked up on the beach. I think it was another diversion tactic.

This get tough.  These kids were legal adults.  Others their age right out of high school are moving into apartements, heading to bootcamp, going to college.

A trip with young adults which is NOT an official school function has facilitators more than chaperones.

I chaperoned a huge group of 86 (not alone) on a 16 day tour of Eastern Europe in 89.  We had kids as old as 22--and as young as 12.

For that reason the ones who were of legal age had to sign a contract setting aside their "adult" rights for the duration of the trip.  
Still, I had a group of kids who were out of high school.  You don't watch them like they are 15 year olds.

I do not blame the chaperones.  I blame whoever hurt Natalie.

I also want to add, I watched O'Reilly factor too--everything said mostly covered it--but O'reilly was insisting, why the chaperones would keep the kids there with the drug dealers, shouldn't that have ended the trip.

Here is my ?--Those students have returned to the US, correct.  And visitors come to visit the US also........we have drug dealers HERE in the US--should we all pack up and go somewhere else???

Also, it is constantly brought up why the students were allowed to drink--IT IS LEGAL AT 18 TO DRINK THERE.  Same reason why Spring Breakers go to Mexico and other destinations where 18 is the legal drinking age.

Although I don't think the chaperones should ever talk to the media to begin with, I did find it strange that O'Reilly said they were coming on and then POOF...no chaperones, only their "friend".
