Amazing Thanksgiving dinner....!!!  Nothing like local southern cooks in the kitchen.  There was a choice of either a served platter or an all you can eat buffet.  I had a platter and took half of it home.  Some at my table took the buffet.  Everyone was happy about their choice.  The platter had slices of turkey, cranberries, yams, mashed potatoes, gravy, oyster dressing, corn and green beans.  Yum.

After it was all over, I realized that the conversation was about family and friends.....and no politics...!!!  The only down side of going out is that there are no left overs for turkey gumbo.  Hard to believe that Christmas is in a month.
The tradition is to start pulling out Christmas decorations today...

Klaas...I have never had turkey on a BBQ.  I bet it is delicious.  Your dinner sounds wonderful.
texasmom.....my daughter has taken over Christmas. I bet your son and DIL were wonderful hosts/chefs.

Need to stop as my computer is acting up badly.  Hugs....

Ours turned out well too, Mere!  I missed having some leftovers later too though!
It was definitely different enjoying the meal without being exhausted from preparing it, I think I could like this!

My heart is broken today watching our beautiful Great Smokey Mountains burn.  I grew up in those mountains starting with my parents taking us when we were just little.  Me and hubby have hiked most all trails in those mountains and we introduced our son when he came into ths world.  Gatlinburg is a national treasure and it is burning down.  I pray that heavy rain socks those mountains before the fire consumes it.  We were there less than 2 weeks ago.  The arts and crafts community, parts of that area have burned.  So much history in those mountains.  GOD have mercy on the soul who set those fires-they say it was arson.

If you ask the wrong question, of course, you get the wrong answer. We find in design it’s much more important and difficult to ask the right question. Once you do that, the right answer becomes obvious.<br />Quote: Amory Lovins

Hi San!

Our team had already been eliminated, so we just watched a little here and there...stress free.
