Jodi Arias Says She Won’t Use Twitter For a While
February 4, 2014
Last Updated: February 4, 2014 5:17 pm

Jodi Arias, who has remained active on Twitter while in jail, announced that she won’t be using the social media service for a while.

Arias has reportedly been using the service with the help of friends and family members, to whom she conveys what she wants tweeted.

She has a relatively popular account, with over 79,000 followers.

Arias said that as of January 30, she’s not going to tweet for a while, calling it a “temporary” but “probably long-term” move.

“I’m thinking of giving control 2 someone else. Hopefully, they’ll tweet updates & cont. the quote trend, but that will be @ their discretion,” she said. “Whoever takes over this acct. 4 the time being will NOT be representing my views, opinions, philosophies, beliefs, or creeds–but their own.”

She added that she is “crushed with mail.” To anyone sent her mail but doesn’t receive a reply, “know that I hear U & feel your love. I’m humbled,” she said.

Jury selection begins on March 17.

Hi loca

How's it going?  I hope you are having a good day.

Janet
Hi tamikosmom
I'm actually doing better! It's a good feeling to feel healthier, I hadn't been here much, as one of my brothers passed away Christmas Eve! And we weren't able to have his funeral! Until Thursday January 2nd. His wife so much like the evil heart of arias, made it as generic and cold as she could. I'm comforted that he is no longer handicapped and sick! He suffered with m.s and many strokes! Diabetics and other health issues.   I will see the dr again in February! For more tests to see how much of the cancer was destroyed. I'm confident and optimistic. I thank you all for your prayers! So kind are the folks here, all the prayers and well wishes! Are medicine to the soul. I humbly appreciate you all and am grateful to be part of a forum like this, with so many decent and caring people. I'll be keeping up with the trial! Praying for justice! Right along with you all. I wish you all a happy and blessed New Years. It's hard to wrap your head around evil like arias! And my sister inlaw! I just know good rules! And justice will prevail for the Alexander family. Arias continues to torment! Via twitter, or any means she can find, soon she will be silenced and her name will fade into the cold cell she will spend the rest of her life in, until she has to answer for her evil.
God bless you all! To each and everyone of you!
A big hug of love and appreciation
Loca

Hi Loca

How's it going hon?  It's been a while.  Have you yet had the scheduled February tests?  Updates would be appreciated.

Jodi?  The definition of evil!  I hope that there will be justice for Travis.  If only each juror would put themselves in the place of Travis' family and then render the death penalty.  Anything less devalues the life of Travis.

Janet

Hi Kermit

THE SHAMROCK

"Shamrock" is the common name for several different kinds of three-leafed clovers native to Ireland.

The shamrock was chosen Ireland's national emblem because of the legend that St. Patrick had used it to illustrate the doctrine of the Trinity. The Trinity is the idea that God is really three-in-one: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.

Patrick demonstrated the meaning of the Three-in-One by picking a shamrock from the grass growing at his feet and showing it to his listeners. He told them that just as the shamrock is one leaf with three parts, God is one entity with three Persons.

The Irish have considered shamrocks as good-luck symbols since earliest times, and today people of many other nationalities also believe they bring good luck.

Jodi Arias update: Ruling clears way for second penalty phase
Posted: 02/07/2014

PHOENIX - Convicted murderer Jodi Arias will again face a potential death sentence after a judge's ruling cleared the way for a second penalty phase in the case.

Defense attorneys had argued that the Arizona law allowing a retrial of the penalty phase is unconstitutional and should be considered cruel and unusual punishment, while amounting to double jeopardy.

In her ruling made public Friday, Judge Sherry Stephens denied the defense motion.

"Arizona's capital scheme has been found to be constitutional by the United States Supreme Court and the Arizona Supreme Court," Stephens wrote.

Arias' retrial is set for March 17. Arias, 33, was convicted of first-degree murder in May, but the jury couldn't reach a verdict on her sentence.

I've been doing some thinking.  My first feelings after Jodi's trial for the murder of Travis Alexander, I felt she really deserved the death penalty.  In my mind, she planned what she was doing.  She caused Travis Alexander extreme suffering before he finally died at her hands.  Since that time, I've realized how sensationalized a DP sentence would be.  Way too much drama and resources.  Give her LWOP.  Not very glamorous.  After the initial sentencing and interest dwindles, she will have day after day after day after day in prison for years, since she's young.  Maybe every five or ten years, someone will do a special on her prison life.  Her art wouldn't be worth so much, now would it?  And who would care enough to help her with her twitter?  Sure, there's always a few supporters of convicted murderers (think Scott Peterson, with the offers of marriage) If she got the DP, think about all those folks ready to jump on the band wagon, both pro and con.  There's money to be made through the media and of course, some lawyers and such that profit other ways even if they don't make money.  They want their fifteen minutes of fame, even it's through notorierty.  Think Jose Baez.  Yes, I believe now that keeping Jodi behind bars for the rest of her life is the best punishment.  JMHO

Muffy, I agree.  She has already gotten too much attention.  Those writing her are perverts and probably wonder why she couldn't have been in their lives.  Let them have at it.  She is not worth the time of day.  May God have mercy on her soul.

I'm with you, Muffy and Sister. I think we all just want Jodi to be silenced and unable to hurt Travis' reputation and family any more. I would love for whatever happens to include cutting her off from social media. I had thought that the most effective way to do that would be putting her on death row. I wanted that more than I wanted her to actually receive the execution. I'm not sure what outcome would accomplish that the best, but that's what I'd choose!

Jodi Arias trial date put aside due to prosecutor's conflicting trial
Tue Feb 11, 2014 6:16 PM

The March trial date set for convicted killer Jodi Arias has been put aside because of a conflict prosecutor Juan Martinez has with another potential death-penalty trial.

Martinez is supposed to begin trial May 12 for Bryan Hulsey, 40, who is charged with the 2007 murder of Glendale Police officer Anthony Holly. The Hulsey trial has been repeatedly postponed.

In a hearing Tuesday at Maricopa County Superior Court, Presiding Criminal Judge Joseph Welty weighed priorities in the two cases.

Tuesday’s hearing was intended to resolve any possible conflict between the two cases. Martinez, who is on medical leave for undisclosed reasons, attended the hearing via telephone.

Martinez mentioned that the Arias trial might further bump back the Hulsey trial unless another prosecutor were appointed to it. One of Martinez’ supervisors, who was present in the courtroom, said that wouldn’t happen.

Welty ruled that Hulsey’s trial would go first because it was the older of the two.

Welty left the rescheduling of the Arias trial to Judge Stephens.

Hello there tamikosmom
I'm sorry I hadn't been in to check what's going on with this killer. I have had a hard time bouncing back, I am feeling much better, I'm here today reading and catching up! I didn't think much was going on, and is she still tweeting? I want nothing but the best for the Alexander family.

I hadn't been here to report any progress on my cancer journey, because I wouldn't know anything, I had, Three months of intense chemotherapy, and two different kinds of radiations! (External and internal) one blood transfusion( day before thanksgiving ) ok here's (my update)
I went to see the GYN. Specialist on Monday! He was the dr, that got my treatments rolling, with his confirmation that it was cancer.

Monday he said (treatments) looked successful, because he could neither feel or see any cancer, he ordered blood tests, which confirmed that, I am severely enemic and my blood is thin and also my blood count (red and white)  is almost normal. Ok on feb 22nd I will do a pet scan to confirm that, there's no cancer left. If anyone of you have had a pet scan you will know that! You fast and drink a lot of water the day before, if there's any cancer, the pet scan will light up like a Christmas tree, in the cancer areas. I am so blessed and thankful for all your prayers. I am very optimistic that, there will be no cancer left! So far all is looking well. It's prayer that got me through this cancer journey. My energy level will gradually return to normal sometime this year.im eating healthy, I'm not eating any fast foods, nothing that comes out of a box, lots of fruits and veggies and some meat for protein. I have never been disciplined in this area! But after what I've been through I am. I've lost weight  and been able to maintain! By eating healthy. I can't do a lot of exercise because of my energy
Even, I am doing leg and arm exercises.

Sorry I didn't mean to write a book

(Hugs and shout out to. KERMIT)  and all of you that have followed me through this journey. I would also like to (THANK YOU KLAASEND)  for allowing me to post my progress here.

My daughter's MIL just had a pet scan at Vancouver's cancer center last week.  It had been about four months since her surgery for breast cancer.  She explained to me that she was praying that the affected area would not light up like a Christmas tree and ... PRAISE GOD ... it didn't.  Akin to you ... her strength is taking it time returning to normal but ... when she looks back where she was four months ago ... she realizes there is progression.

Our church's ladies' prayer chain continue to uphold "loca" in prayer.

Jodi Arias: Lawyers Will Withdraw if Jury Finds Out She Wanted Kirk Nurmi Fired
Thu., Feb. 13 2014 at 5:19 PM

Jodi Arias doesn't want her new jury to know what she thinks of her lawyer, or about a former cellmate who claims Arias wants prosecutor Juan Martinez killed.

Two motions filed in Maricopa County Superior Court today ask Judge Sherry Stephens to stop the information from coming out in the upcoming sentencing-phase trial.

If the new jury hears about an October 22nd handwritten motion Arias made for a change of counsel, both of her lawyers will have to withdraw from the case, one of the new motions states.
