No. We will only be able to see the proceedings after the sentence has been handed down and the sentencing trial is over.

The court ordered that the witness(es) who were allowed to do so in secrecy (no public or media in attendance) cannot continue. For now.

Edited to clarify: The secrecy is not allowed at this point. The public and the media have the right to attend.
I hope this makes sense.

Testimony in Jodi Arias trial off for at least a week
Michael Kiefer, The Republic | azcentral.com 8:22 p.m. MST November 4, 2014

The attorneys in the Jodi Arias murder sentencing retrial met briefly Tuesday to discuss the implications of Monday's Arizona Court of Appeals ruling barring secret testimony until an appeal by the media is decided by the higher court.

The upshot of the hearing, which the jury did not attend, is that there will be no testimony at all until next Wednesday at the earliest.

Last Thursday, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sherry Stephens cleared the courtroom as the first of Arias' witnesses took the stand.

After the ruling Monday afternoon, Stephens huddled with prosecutor Juan Martinez and defense attorneys Kirk Nurmi and Jennifer Willmott and then announced that they had a difference of opinion. On Tuesday morning, they discussed the "difference" in Stephens' courtroom.

Nurmi said the "media interference thrust upon" Arias was unconstitutional. He told Stephens that he did not want to call any witnesses until the matter was decided by the Court of Appeals.

Martinez asked that the trial go on. Stephens suggested that Nurmi could either call back the secret witness and continue that testimony in open court or he could call another witness out of the planned order.

But no decision was made.

Stephens said there will be no witnesses today (although there will be a court hearing of some sort) or Thursday. Monday and Tuesday the courts are closed.

'Nurmi said the "media interference thrust upon" Arias was unconstitutional.'

This quote is pretty absurd. Acting like she hasn't sought out and courted the media... He can argue against the media's supposed interference without lying about Arias' role in it.

Jodi Arias’ attorneys file to dismiss charges because of 'prosecutorial misconduct'

A computer forensic expert hired by Arias' defense discovered that thousands of files, mostly of pornography, had been deleted from victim Travis Alexander's computer during a three-hour period when it was in Mesa police custody.

PHOENIX — Attorneys for convicted murderer Jodi Arias have filed a motion to dismiss all charges against her, alleging prosecutorial misconduct.

The motion filed late Monday alleges a computer forensic expert hired by the defense discovered that thousands of files were deleted from the computer of Arias’ ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander, while it was in police custody.

The Arizona Republic reports that most of the files were pornographic.

Mesa police personnel testified previously that there was no pornography on Alexander’s computer, and prosecutors disputed Arias’ testimony that she had walked in on Alexander viewing pornography and he apologized for it.

Jodi Arias defense: Porn evidence destroyed on Travis Alexander computer
 Michael Kiefer, The Republic | azcentral.com 7:57 p.m. MST November 11, 2014

http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/mesa/2014/11/10/jodi-arias-sentencing-trial-defense-says-evidence-destroyed-travis-alexander-computer-abrk/18828589/

Attorneys for Jodi Arias filed a motion Monday to dismiss all charges against Arias, alleging prosecutorial misconduct.

The motion says a computer-forensics expert hired by the defense discovered that thousands of files, mostly of pornography, were deleted from victim Travis Alexander's computer while the computer was in custody of Mesa police.

As an alternative to dismissal, the motion asks that the intent to seek the death penalty against Arias be dropped, which would end the current trial.

Neither the prosecutors nor Mesa police would comment on the allegations.

Arias claimed in her testimony at trial that she once walked in on Alexander, her sometime lover, while he was masturbating to photos of young boys.

According to the motion, forensic analysis showed that thousands of files from pornography sites were deleted from the computer during a three-hour period on June 19, 2009, when it was in the possession of the Mesa Police Department.

This is just noise from the defense trying to delay again. It was a virus that was responsible for the porn on the laptop, according to Juan.

Jodi Arias case resumes with defense testimony
November 12, 2014

PHOENIX (AP) - The trial to determine the punishment for Jodi Arias resumed Wednesday with testimony from an expert witness and arguments over allegations that authorities destroyed evidence that may have benefited the convicted murderer's case.

Arias was found guilty of murder last year in the 2008 killing of ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander at his suburban Phoenix home, but jurors deadlocked on whether she should be sentenced to death or life in prison.

Prosecutors have one more shot with a new jury to secure a death sentence. Otherwise, Arias faces life in prison.

The sentencing retrial resumed Wednesday after a lengthy break during which news organizations protested a decision to let a skittish defense witness testify in private and authorities were accused of destroying evidence on Alexander's computer.

Defense attorneys say files were deleted by police from Alexander's computer that showed he had visited numerous pornographic websites, something they claim would have helped bolster Arias' contention that the victim was a sexual deviant. They are seeking a dismissal of all charges or at least to have the death penalty removed as a sentencing option.

The judge denied a request by the defense to delay the trial based on the allegations of the destruction of evidence, explaining she would take up the matter at a later date.

Prosecutor Juan Martinez said his office had the computer reanalyzed just this week, and it showed the defense claims are false. He also noted that if anything was deleted from the computer, it was done by Arias' previous defense attorneys, not authorities.

"It confirmed that he had not accessed any of the (pornographic) sites that they're claiming he accessed," Martinez said.

But defense lawyer Kirk Nurmi told the judge a "plethora of evidence" is being uncovered by computer experts "as we speak."

Meanwhile, defense-witness testimony resumed after news organizations succeeded last week in getting an appeals court to bar Judge Sherry Stephens from closing the courtroom to the public after some of the testimony by Arias' first witness was conducted in private.

Arias' attorneys say several people are unwilling to testify on her behalf unless it is done in private because they are afraid of public backlash. They have said that some witnesses at Arias' first trial were threatened and harassed for their role in the case.

That first defense witness remains unidentified to the public and did not take the stand again on Wednesday.

I remember that in the first trial experts testified that Travis' computer had NO pornography on it.

Nurmi is lazy, unfocused and now becoming a bit of a 2nd rate attorney with these types of antics. When in reality he should be picking up the testimony from Juan Martinez expert witness psychologists that testified Jodi had Borderline Personality Disorder. He needs to get the jury to feel sorry for Jodi and all of this crap he's throwing out there to see if it will stick is just unprofessional as it gets. It too easy to disprove. Makes me wonder if he really wants her to get the Death Penalty. Eat another donut Nurmi.

This is beyond ridiculous. Delay delay delay is all he is doing. I was hoping since they weren't allowing live coverage that all this game playing would end.  I can't help but feel this is all just to get the DP off the table. Good for Juan and his team for not giving in to all this BS.  Justice for Travis.

Good Afternoon Monkeys,

Haven't posted much but try to keep up with this travesty of justice. What difference does it really make if Travis watched pronography , Jody seemed more than willing to participate in sex with Travis. It wasn't like he was chasing her down to join him. It still would not give her the right to butcher him. Geesh just wish someone would put this Biotch out of everyone's misery. My heart breaks for Travis' family. Enough of the torture already. I am not saying I agree with pornography, but I am old school where women had self respect and morals. But that had nothing to do with Jody brutally murdering Travis.
