Judge back on bench....we are waiting for alternate jurors to arrive

Hi Brandi!!!!

I think she gets the DP because the jury could have just deadlocked knowing the Judge would give her life.

I hope so, but I have my doubts.

No matter the outcome, Juan Martinez did a dynamite job in my opinion!

This was MUCH more emotional than the previous hung jury announcement.  Clearly the Alexander family knows this is the end.  #JodiArias

If you don't believe in the death penalty you should admit that in a death penalty case.

Anyone who sat on the jury and argued against death had to have lied when asked if they could vote for death during jury selection, IMO.

Travis Alexander was brutally slaughtered by an evil monster who planned and premeditated his death.

I have no doubt whomever voted to keep that evil alive will not show their face on camera.

Jodi Arias escapes death penalty after Arizona jury deadlocks
By David Schwartz

PHOENIX (Reuters) - A jury in Arizona failed to reach a verdict on Thursday in the sentencing retrial of Jodi Arias, sparing the former waitress from the death penalty for murdering her ex-boyfriend in 2008.

Arias, 34, was found guilty of the murder in 2013 but jurors at that trial deadlocked on whether to give her the death penalty. A new jury of eight women and four men was seated in October to hear a sentencing retrial but announced on Thursday it could not decide on a punishment.

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sherry Stephens said the jury was hung and declared a mistrial. The judge now will sentence Arias to life in prison or to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 25 years.
