I'm surprised at how few are monitoring this site during testimony.

It isn't that surprising at all. This has been a very polarizing event and the undercurrent here is that GZ is innocent and TM is a thug and a dirtbag. The best part is the tweet posting and I thank you all for doing that.

FLAMom, sadly this took a racial tone from the outset. When Zimmerman was referred to as a "white" Hispanic by the MSM I thought that to be one of the most offensive and uncalled for reporting's I have ever seen. They wanted to make it racial, instead of about the law. Sad, very sad.

I have my theories as to what happened and will hold for a little later. But I think they are spot on for what happened. Zimmerman I do not believe set out to shoot Trayvon, but sadly it happened. All too often in today's society we have confrontations both verbal and physical. However, one never knows if one has a gun.

The fact the race card has been played is unreal. Would that be the case if George Zimmerman was a "black" Hispanic?

Justice is supposed to be blind, we shall see.

What good is a neighborhood watch that does not call the poliice?

So there are past calls to 911 of black teenagers in the neighborhood committing crimes by Zimmerman? Oh the horror. Isn't that what his job was supposed to be as a volunteer neighborhood watchman? So that is considered profiling? That would be called a fact, not profiling. Its about those that are committing crimes or attempting to, not the color of one's skin. Geez.

What good is a neighborhood watch that does not call the poliice?

In my opinion, not calling a non-emergency number to report suspicious activity is an ineffective neighborhood program.  He and his neighbors were doing their job in helping police with community safety and preventing crime.  I think that the prosecutors are trying to connect previous calls with a call that ended tragically--in this case.

My area doesn't have a neighborhood watch, but because there have been 6 break ins during the day in the last 6 months, we've been told by the Sheriff's Dept. to call in any suspicious activity to 911.  There is a non emergency number, but they said use that for other things, like reporting a dead deer in the road etc.  I live in a very nice, upscale neighborhood, btw.  No crime until this summer.  The homes that were broken into were profiled by the thieves as occupants that leave daily for work and don't have alarms.
