A message from Cory Redwine ~ To his little brother Dylan

"Ill love you long after your gone" I love you momma (Elaine Hatfield )it's still so hard for the both of us but I still remember all the ways Dylan Redwine made us laugh, cry, concentrate, and then start laughing again haha. I still hear his giggle and I'll never forget those things. That's what I love most is you were still so young and small  but you made such a HUGE impact on me that My whole life is based for you now. I hope with you looking down that your love will raise us up and somehow someway we all grow from each other and learn and lean on each other and we all can get threw this together I love you guys

Elaine must be an amazing mother to have raised this young man.  Much respect to Cory for his consistent strength and authenticity of self throughout this entire ordeal.

Dylan Redwine's Father Denies Involvement in 13-Year-Old's Death
By ELAINE ARADILLAS
07/08/2013 at 07:45 AM EDT

Mark Redwine refused to stop looking for his 13-year-old son Dylan, who went missing from his Colorado home during Thanksgiving week 2012.

While law enforcement searched a nearby mountainside last week, Redwine was in Indianapolis, handing out fliers to truck drivers so they could look for his child on their routes.

"I was on a mission to take Dylan's story nationally," Redwine tells PEOPLE. "I always held out hope that I would see my son again."

Instead, he received a call no parent wants to hear.

"They needed me to identify some items of interest," Redwine says. He drove 1,400 miles back to Colorado in fewer than 30 hours and met with deputies, who handed him a binder full of photos. While searching in Vallecito Lake, Colo., not even 10 miles from Redwine's home, police had discovered five human bones, which they later confirmed were Dylan's.

"Where's the remaining 98 percent of my son?" Redwine asks, his voice cracking. Police told him wild animals likely ravaged the rest.

War of Words
Police say Dylan's disappearance is an ongoing criminal investigation. But Mark Redwine's ex-wife Elaine, for one, wonders if her former husband had something to do with it.

They appeared on the Dr. Phil show in February and got into a heated exchange, pointing fingers and shouting accusations. "I didn't lose Dylan," Mark said. "Then why is he gone?" Elaine asked. "You have to answer that question. You had him. Where is he?"

Attempts to reach Elaine for this story were unsuccessful. But the couple's eldest son, Cory, 21, also questions his father's role. "Mark is holding the key," Cory told CBS4 in Denver. "We strongly believe that the last person to see Dylan knows the truth."

Elaine Hatfield just to clear up some confusion. I never declined to comment nor have i been contacted by anyone at People Magazine. I do try to keep up with the requests from media even if it is just to say thank you to all of you for working hard for Dylan. I will not go into great detail for obvious reasons. Thank you all. We love you all and appreciate your support.

COLORADO NEWS
Dylan Redwine case in Colorado becomes a Facebook phenomenon
POSTED:   07/09/2013 12:01:00 AM MDT
UPDATED:   07/09/2013 08:19:25 AM MDTBy Nancy Lofholm
The Denver Post

Bayfield journalist and family friend Denise Hess is continuing the page that was initially devoted to finding Dylan Redwine. She has turned it into a sort of virtual grieving site for all those who have followed the prolific postings for half a year. She also has created a second page, Justice for Dylan Redwine, that encourages fans to study details of the disappearance in hopes they might shed light on something law enforcement might have missed. (Special to The Denver Post)

Dylan Redwine had been missing less than a day last November when his face and his story popped up on a Facebook page called Find Missing Dylan Redwine.

Interested people around southwest Colorado, where he disappeared, and across the country quickly began turning to Facebook for a constant feed of information about the missing 13-year-old. As days, weeks and months went by, the Facebook page would become a powerful tool for bringing searchers together, advertising fundraisers and vigils, collecting donations for reward money that would top $50,000 and gathering tips about specialist private investigators who might help.

The hopeful tone of early postings would fade with time. But the number of followers on the page would grow to nearly 30,000 before his remains were found two weeks ago scattered across a mountainside 10 miles from where he was last seen at Vallecito Lake.

The Dylan Redwine Facebook phenomenon — one that mushroomed with the addition of half a dozen other Facebook pages linked to his disappearance — became an example of how social media can be used to help family and friends feel less powerless in the face of an inexplicable crime. It also demonstrated how this use of social media can veer into an ugly tool for finger-pointing — and for exploitation.

Monument boy remembered in hometown of Bayfield

More than 200 attend candlelight ceremony for Dylan Redwine

Scott Harrison
POSTED: 04:19 AM MDT Jun 30, 2013

BAYFIELD, Colo. -
Just a few days after his remains were found and confirmed in La Plata County, 13-year-old Dylan Redwine was remembered by friends and relatives Saturday.

Redwine said although he and Elaine have been bitter toward each other at times -- both seeking custody of Dylan and even blaming each other for Dylan's death -- he wants to reach out to her and their older son, Cory.

"I don't know what to say to you," he said as he looked at them while addressing the crowd.  "I'm feeling the same pain that you are.  Dylan means a lot to all of us."

Elaine Redwine declined to respond to Mark Redwine's remarks.  She chose instead to focus on her relief at finally knowing Dylan's fate.

"Most of the time, I know Dylan's at peace," she said.  "I think the reason (Dylan) helped us find him, is so we could be at peace for him."

(From the video)

Mark Redwine

"I'm here to speak for Dylan and thank all of the law enforcement people who have been involved..."

I don't know how they do it, not sure I'd be that strong or would have been able to restrain myself from throwing some of those river rocks at him!  So much that he does and says is just taunting them and LE!  I really do admire their strength, and pray that they will see Justice for Dylan...soon!

Find Missing Dylan Redwine

Dyl,

My mind knows the truth. That I will never again witness your beautiful smile in person. Or hear you giggle. Or watch snuggle up to your Mutti and look at her with those big blue eyes right before you ask for one more Mountain Dew.

My heart can't accept it. I see your life in every picture and video. My heart just won't believe that someone came in and stole that smile. Silenced that giggle and forever closed those beautiful blue eyes. My heart just doesn't want to believe.

Despite the pain that I feel, I know that your Mutti, Cory, Mike and everyone that loved you is struggling is a way that I will never be able to fathom.

We are broken without you.

but...

We will never forget.
We will never stop having FAITH that justice will be served.

We will never stop loving you.

As I have from the beginning, I feel you close. I know you are watching over your Mutti, Cory and family. It's not the same and never will be, but it brings me comfort to at least know that you really can hear me. You have been reading these messages all along and you know how much you are loved by all.

I love you with all my heart buddy. Don't give up on us. We are not giving up on bringing you justice.

Love ya buddy,
Denisey (Katt)
