A lot of the articles I've read key in on the tool/knife marks found on Dylan's skull,  some make it sound like there were only two injuries, the tool/knife marks merely being more descriptive of the blunt force trauma.

I don't think they're one and the same, I think one was done to hide the other.

Mark Redwine had 13 year old Dylan Redwine in his custody and was alone with him the last
night Dylan was heard from November 18, 2012 at 9:37pm, Dylan Redwine's blood was in the
living room, cadaver dogs indicated that deceased person had been in his living room and bed
of his pick-up truck.  Dylan Redwine's remains were located in a location accessible and familiar
to him, and their relationship was contentious at the time of Dylan Redwine's death.  At least one
point of contention between them provoked a violent response from Mark Redwine.  When
Dylan Redwine's skull was finally recovered, the tool marks, fractures, and the two distinct
locations of the remains were consistent with tampering with the body, and specifically,
relocation and further disposal of the fractured skull to conceal the identity and cause of death by
the person last associated with him.

Redwine was arrested while working as a semi-truck driver, and had a trainee with him when law enforcement closed in.

Ricardo Ramirez was the trainee, and spoke with Denver7 Monday.

He said he was in the truck with Redwine for about 2 weeks, and that they were hauling frozen food to a company in northwest Washington when police used GPS and pings of Redwine’s cellphone to find him in Bellingham.

Ramirez told Denver7 he was surprised by Redwine’s arrest.

“I knew about his son’s disappearance, but I didn’t know he was murdered or anything like that,” Ramirez said. “I never did know he was a suspect or anything like that.”

Ramirez said he had talked about Dylan with Redwine several times, however.

“He said he was more into his wife, his ex-wife,” Ramirez said. “I guess the son was torn between picking who he wanted to live with. His ex-wife put him in a hard spot where he seemed like the bad guy.”

He said that Redwine talked about Dylan quite a bit on their latest trip as well.

“Songs we were listening to on the road reminded him of his son,” Ramirez said. “He was talking about looking for his son. You know, they were going to go through a search party for him…next month, for about a week-long search.”

In the video at the link below you can hear the question Ricardo Ramirez was asked before he responded “He said he was more into his wife, his ex-wife”
It starts at about the 4:40 mark.

Ricardo Ramirez:  You know, about his son's disappearance, I didn't know he was murdered, or none of that.

Reporter:  Did he ever talk about being angry with his son or missing his son?

Ricardo Ramirez:  No, he seemed like he was more into his wife...you know his ex-wife.  I guess the son was torn between picking who he wanted to live with, and all that, and his ex-wife put him in a bad spot where he seemed like the bad guy.

More at the link with him saying how Mark missed Dylan and was going to have that search party looking for his son.  Wonder if Mark told him he didn't plan to attend the search?

Don't forget the child support check that was postmarked to Elaine the same day Dylan was reported missing.
The court hadn't ordered Mark to pay yet, the hearing was scheduled for January 2013.
His first and last child support payment, and the murderer's calling card imo.
I'm so glad he's finally behind bars.

Justice for Dylan!

SHOCKING motive in Dylan Redwine case: Father posed for photos while wearing a diaper, makeup, eating feces

by Leigh Egan
July 26, 2017

Did former Colorado resident Mark Redwine kill his son, Dylan Redwine, after the boy saw compromising photos and confronted him?

According to the indictment against Redwine, who’s accused of killing his 13-year-old son, Dylan, in November 2014, compromising photos may have been the reason that the young boy lost his life. Not only did Dylan view the photos, but his older brother Corey did as well, and described them as “disgusting.”

“I have seen the photos,” Corey told ABC Denver. “It shows him wearing women’s clothes and makeup and a diaper and then eating his feces from the diaper. It was disgusting.” “We couldn’t believe it.”

Corey, however, said he thinks that the attack happened from a culmination of the things, including the photos that probably embarrassed Redwine and sent him into a fit of rage.

“I think Dylan had a lot more than just pictures that he wanted to get across to Mark. He’s [Mark Redwine] just a sick person, but he’s fully aware of his actions, and he’s fine with being that person. If that’s how he wants to live his life, then well, we can see where that gets you. He’s where he belongs.”

Redwine was arrested on Saturday in Washington. He’s charged with second-degree murder and child abuse.

Cadaver dogs found Dylan’s blood in Redwine’s living room, on his couch, and in his truck. A search team found some of Dylan’s bones, a part of his shirt, a sock, and his shoestring in the countryside near Vallecito, Colorado, several months after he went missing. Later, they found his skull, which an anthropologist said showed signs of blunt force trauma and knife wounds.

Elaine commented in a later interview that after taping the original Dr. Phil episodes in early 2013, she knew they were looking for Dylan's body.
Two months later (April 2013) Mark is seen coming from the area on Middle Mountain were Dylan's partial remains were found four months later (June 2013).

Dr. Phil is republishing clips on Youtube since the arrest, chilling watching some of them again.

Carren Corcoran is the founder and owner of Canine Search Solutions LLC. Carren has been a Madison
Police Officer since May of 1990. Her love of dogs and her fascination with the power of their noses has
been the driving force behind her work with dogs.

Carren began novice dog training in 1989 in a variety of arenas including obedience, schutzhund, guide
dog training and foster care.

Carren’s current partner is Molly a female German Shepherd born in July 2006. Molly was given up to an
informal rescue at approximately 8 months old. The kind soul who took Molly in immediately observed that
Molly was a very busy dog who needed a job. Badgerland German Shepherd again directed Carren to
Molly who has proven to be a delight to work. Molly affectionately called Bitty due to her ‘itty bitty’ size
began HRD training immediately and currently obtains national cadaver certification through NNDDA or
NAPWDA. Bitty has participated in approximately 45 searches to date in Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota,
Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ontario Canada. She has had several confirmed finds and her work has been
confirmed by the Wisconsin State Crime Lab and crime scene technicians. Molly’s indications have assisted
in obtaining 4 search warrants in Wisconsin.

April, 2013
Carren, Bitty and a sonar hobbyist were instrumental in locating
the body of Charles Geurt in Lake Monona. Bitty first located
an area on Lake Monona. Then Rick Krueger used his sonar
equipment with GPS coordinates provided by police to locate
the body.

October, 2011
Carren Corcoran was honored by Wisconsin Law
Enforcement Canine Handler Association in October of 2011
when she received the Canine Handler of the Year award for
her accomplishments with both her patrol dog K9 Slim and
her HRD dog K9 Bitty.

2013 Canine Search Solutions Efforts

2013 led to Colorado’s first search warrant that incorporated a cadaver dog’s indication.

During this year, Canine Search Solutions responded to a total of 32 cases.  The breakdown of these cases were 12 homicides, 11 cold case homicides, and 9 other or accidental deaths. Most of the cold cases were from the 1990’s, however the oldest one was from 1947. Two cases led to landfill searches, which were needless to say very tiring and strenuous on both the handlers and dogs. The majority of our cases were in WI and IL. A single case in IN, CO, and Canada.  Additionally, we re-visited four missing person cases in WI, IL, and Canada.  Carren and K9 Molly assisted LE in Colorado in obtaining a search warrant.  This is believed to be the first time in Colorado legal history that a cadaver dog’s indications were incorporated into a search warrant application.

On August 5, 2013, Human Remains Detection Dog Handler Carren Corcoran and her K9 Molly
conducted a canine search of Mark Redwine's house to determine if the corpse of a deceased
human had been present at that location.  K9 Molly indicated the presence of cadaver scent in
various locations in the home, including the living room and the washing machine.  These are
indications of the presence of a large source of human remains.  Also, in August 2013, Ms.
Corcoran and her K9 Molly, searched and indicated a cadaver scent on Mr. Redwine's clothes
that he reported wearing on the night of November 18-19, 2012.  Later on February 13, 2014,
Ms. Corcoran and her K9 Molly conducted a search of Mr. Redwine's Dodge pick-up truck, and
alerted to the presence of human cadaver scent in several locations including the bed of the truck.

Report: Investigators search Mark Redwine’s house
POSTED 10:19 PM, AUGUST 14, 2013, BY DAVID MITCHELL, UPDATED AT 08:54AM, AUGUST 15, 2013

LA PLATA COUNTY, Colo. — Investigators from the La Plata County Sheriff’s Office searched the home of Mark Redwine Wednesday.

The Durango Herald reports a search warrant was executed in cooperation with the FBI and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

Home of Colorado teen Dylan Redwine's dad searched again

Aug. 15, 2013 at 2:13 PM

VALLECITO, Colo., Aug. 15 (UPI) -- The father of a Colorado boy who disappeared last fall says police removed carpeting and a fireplace poker during a search of his home this week.

Mark Redwine told KUSA-TV, Denver, officers from several law enforcement agencies served a search warrant on his La Plata County home Wednesday as part of the ongoing investigation into the death of his 13-year-old son, Dylan.

Dylan disappeared in November and his remains were found not far from his father's home in June. Mark Redwine has not been publicly named as a suspect in the boy's death but investigators have searched his house three times, KUSA said.

It was not clear what prompted Wednesday's search, but Redwine said the officers took possession of sections of wood flooring and carpeting, a cellphone, clothing and the poker.

Dylan confronted Mark about the pictures over Labor Day weekend 2012, just weeks before the custody hearing that Mark lost.
Elaine has stated that she did not bring the pictures up in the custody hearing.
Dylan met with the judge privately during the custody hearing, and his testimony was sealed by the court.
There was no contact between Mark and Dylan between the custody hearing and Dylan's arrival in Durango two months later for the court ordered visitation.

Dylan Redwine Planned to Confront Father About ‘Compromising’ Photos Before He Was Killed: Brother
BY HARRIET SOKMENSUER•@HGSOKMENSUER

POSTED ON JULY 27, 2017 AT 2:29PM EDT

The older brother of Dylan Redwine, the slain Colorado 13-year-old whose father is accused of killing him in 2012, says he believes “graphic” photographs the boys allegedly found of their dad may have motivated the alleged crime.

The photographs, which investigators called “compromising” in an indictment obtained by PEOPLE, were taken by the father and allegedly showed him in lewd positions.

Dylan’s older brother, Cory, alleges that he saw “pretty graphic” sexual photos of Mark Redwine, like images that depict him cross-dressing, wearing a diaper and handling human waste. “They definitely changed my opinion about [Redwine],” Cory says.

The alleged photographs upset Dylan too, who told Cory he was going to confront his father about them. The brothers had found the photographs on their father’s laptop during a father-son bonding road trip.

While authorities have not discussed a motive, Cory says he believes Dylan’s plan to confront his father about the alleged photographs may have played a role.

“Dylan was getting old enough to speak his mind; we encouraged him to,” Cory says. “We encouraged him to tell him how he felt. You should always be able to tell your dad how you feel, and have some sort of understanding. He was definitely going down there with a bigger voice than he had before.”

Cory says he and his brother had a strained relationship with their father after a fight two years before Dylan disappeared. The fight, Cory says, ostracized Redwine from his then-wife, Elaine Hall, and their two sons.

“It was kind of one of the biggest things that impacted everybody’s relationship with [Redwine],” Cory says.

Cory says the years following Dylan’s death have been a “rollercoaster of emotions,” adding that the family never gave up hope even as the crime remain unsolved.

I've seen one of the photos posted recently on facebook but I think it's gone now.
The same one was also shown in the recent Investigation Discovery documentary on Facebook.

https://www.facebook.com/InvestigationDiscovery/videos/10155036146479902/
-4:09 left in the video point.  I've seen the same image without blurred out portion, it's him...

He admitted he took the pictures during the taping of the first Dr. Phil shows, but made up lame excuses as to why they were on his laptop.  All of this was cut from the televised portion, but audience members were all over Dylan's pages talking about it.

It seems like I remember someone saying he'd posted them in an online group, but believe it or not, I never even tried to go there.

But I can confirm that there are Adult Baby Diaper Lover's groups out there.

In December 2012, Mark Redwine spoke about Dylan from his front door.
"All we want for Christmas is Dylan home."

Redwine reported that his 13-year-old son, Dylan, vanished on Nov. 19, 2012, during a court-ordered Thanksgiving visit to his home.
A few bones and clothing of the Colorado Springs eighth-grader were discovered in late June about 10 miles north of Redwine’s house.

“It’s only a mile away as the crow flies,” Redwine said. “I can see it from my front porch.”

If you read the article carefully, Mark's not planning anything.  Some other person that apparently doesn't know an attack by wildlife was ruled out is helping him out.  But who knows maybe it will be good for Mark to spend a little time with law enforcement, especially since they're not interested in talking to him on the phone.

Mark spent seven months giving interviews on his front porch gazing up to the area on Middle Mountain where Dylan's partial remains were eventually found.  He was invited by law enforcement to attend that search, but skipped town right before it started and went to Indiana!  He's been pointing to himself as Dylan's murderer since day one!!!  Elaine didn't need LE to name him the POI as firepower to call him a murderer, she hasn't hesitated to do it since they found the remains in June 2013.  He's such a drama queen, it's sickening!

Remember also, Mark has a pattern of coming out of hiding to poke at LE and attempt to appear concerned in the media right before big things happen in this case.  Hoping this one follows suit...

Father plans search party for Dylan Redwine’s remains

Teen went missing in 2012, was found dead northeast of Vallecito

Mark Redwine, father of Dylan Redwine, plans a seven-day community search in August for his son’s remains northeast of Vallecito.

The seven-day search is scheduled for Aug. 4-11 on Middle Mountain, northeast of Vallecito Reservoir, where some of Dylan’s remains were found in June 2013.

“Instead of having a bunch of little searches go on, I’m trying to create a big search,” Redwine said in an interview this week. “We’ve got two months to put this all together and get everybody’s involvement.”

Dylan went missing Nov. 19, 2012, a day after he arrived from Monument for a court-ordered visit with his father during the Thanksgiving holiday. The death was ruled a homicide by the La Plata County Coroner’s Office, and the case remains under investigation by the La Plata County Sheriff’s Office.

A search organized by the boy’s father presents an interesting dynamic: The Sheriff’s Office has named Mark Redwine a person of interest, and Mark Redwine has grown increasingly frustrated with the Sheriff’s Office, saying the agency made several missteps early in the investigation, has made little progress during the last 4½ years, and has become non-communicative with him in more recent years.

Sheriff Sean Smith, who was first elected in November 2014, has never spoken to the father and refuses to return his calls, Mark Redwine said.

“I find it a little irritating that he won’t even return my phone calls,” Mark Redwine said.

The Sheriff’s Office declined to comment about the pending investigation or Mark Redwine’s concerns, other than to say the Sheriff’s Office plans to participate and provide assistance to the August search.

“The La Plata County Sheriff’s Office has no further comment on this active investigation and has no comment concerning Mr. Mark Redwine’s opinions regarding the Dylan Redwine investigation,” sheriff’s spokesman Dan Bender wrote in an email to the The Durango Herald.

The search is being coordinated by Shelly Watson, who was born in Bloomfield and lives in Killeen, Texas, near Fort Hood.

Watson said she met Mark Redwine three months ago while learning how to drive trucks. Mark Redwine was her trainer, and they spent time together on the road in his rig. He didn’t talk much about himself, but on about the third week, Watson asked about a key chain and some sports memorabilia hanging on the passenger side in his rig.

Mark Redwine said they were reminders of his son and shared the story of Dylan’s disappearance and the subsequent finding of his remains – a shoulder bone and fingertip in coyote scat – northeast of his home, she said.

Watson said she believes Dylan was killed by wildlife, possibly a mountain lion.

She asked Mark Redwine why he hasn’t done more to find his son’s remains, including searching Middle Mountain. He said it would look bad, especially if he found something, because people would say he knew where to look, she said.

But Watson said finding Dylan’s remains will exonerate Mark Redwine if forensic investigators can prove he was the victim of a wildlife attack.

“I said, ‘Look, I’m going to help you out. I’m going to help Dylan out. ... If they want to put you in jail, and they’re adamant that you killed your son, only the bones will tell the truth, so let’s go find your son,’” Watson said. “He said, ‘OK.’”

Watson agreed to serve as coordinator for the community search, thereby removing Mark Redwine one step.

Regardless of what people may think of Mark Redwine, Watson hopes the community will show up in great numbers to help comb the rugged wilderness for Dylan’s remains.

Mark Redwine said he is on the fence about participating in the search, but he likely won’t participate – for obvious reasons.

“I don’t want it to ever be said that I pointed anybody in the right direction, which is how I’m afraid that would come across if I were out there,” he said. “I would love to be there, I would like to be participating in it, but for obvious reasons, I feel it’s in my best interest not to participate.”

Mark Redwine said the Sheriff’s Office has failed to find significant remains of his son. Instead, investigators have labeled him a “person of interest,” which has no meaning and is only a distraction. The label has given his ex-wife firepower to label him a murderer, he said.

Efforts to reach Hall for comment about the search were unsuccessful Friday.

“The fact is I am not a murderer,” Mark Redwine said. “I had absolutely nothing to do with my son’s disappearance and/or subsequent death. I’m just a father trying to find out the answers, and I want my son brought home.”

Maybe she had good intentions?  I just don't know.
Mark has used a lot of people trying to convince us he's not the monster he is.

A woman who knows Mark Redwine, father of Dylan Redwine, said she is calling off a search for the teenager’s remains after Mark Redwine was arrested July 22 in connection with his son’s death. Dylan Redwine’s remains had been found in the area of Middle Mountain twice since he disappeared from his father’s home in November 2012.

A community search for Dylan Redwine’s remains northeast of Vallecito Reservoir has been called off after his father’s arrest.

The eight-day search was scheduled to start Friday and conclude Aug. 11 on Middle Mountain, where some of Dylan’s remains were found in June 2013 and in November 2015.

Mark Redwine was arrested July 22 in Bellingham, Washington, on suspicion of second-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death.

The search was being organized by Redwine and Shelly Watson of Texas, who met Redwine earlier this year while learning how to drive semi-tractor trailers. Redwine, a long-haul trucker, was Watson’s trainer.

In an interview Monday, Watson said she might reschedule the search if the need arises. For now, the La Plata County Sheriff’s Office said there is no need for additional searches.
