Something I haven't seen talked about very much is the fact that when Natalee's mom arrived in Aruba, she met with DEA agents.  Is this even true??   I have seen it mentioned in a few places, but not from what some here consider a "source"....(let's not go down that road again...please!)

Does anyone know for sure, and I don't need links...just curious.

A DEA agent was already in Aruba at the HI and spoke with the chaparone that remained behind.  The DEA agent gave the chaparone names and numbers of LE to contact.  Dan from the Riehl World wrote something about it last week.

This was discussed yesterday afternoon.  here is the scenario:  DEA guy from Curacao, where US has a Consulate General (no US Consulate on Aruba) is i Aruba on business.  Somehow the Consulate finds out about Natalee being missing (somebody called from Aruba, Alabama or  Washington) so the consulate contacts the DEA guy atached to the Consulate and asks him to look into the matter.  I doubt there is anything else to it that he was the USG man on the scene and responded to help.  Remember Senator Sessions weighed in on this with Condi Rice early on.     Also remember Mrs. Twitty said they were assisted by some international business people on Aruba (read Kroll, Control Risk).

Reuben Trapenberg, an Aruban government spokesman, just said (once again, on MSNBC) that one of the brothers pointed the finger at Croes.  This is unconfirmed, but what he has been told.

Also, he said that the police have the information but are not sharing it as that is how their government works.

He said that they don't care about tourism at this point, as indicated by how many events they have cancelled.  All they want is to solve this case.

Not too much news . . . fox just reported that the suspects are being transferred from their respective police stations where they are being held to a prison on the island . . . maybe they will start talking!

Fox is running a special on the search for NH at 3pm EST.

Question for AinA or Iquitos:

I heard on the US news that 1st the Judge allowed Joran's father to see him and he did see him. Then later in the day (Friday, 5/17) the Prosecutor petitioned the Judge for no more visitation and the Judge agreed, no more. Could you confirm or deny this please?

The President of Venezuela hates Bush and has cut all ties with America. I doubt the FBI is welcome there.


Nothing has changed other than the lawyers now are starting to put of the walls. Ths case is a long, long way from being solved unless one of the boys are offered a deal.

Do you have a source that the prime minister not president of aruba hates bush and that the FBI is not welcome? Is this a new found hate after he said he loved all Americans and we are his customers and livlihood?

is it true that they have moved the boys to a prison on the island.   what is the latest.  I have been taking a break from the news coverage.  any word on whether the boy sare going to be held further.  also I heard they released the forth suspect is that true.

Big difference between PM of Aruba and President of Venezuela. Far be it from me to get political but Prez of Venezuela hates US, not just Bush. Many of us here are not to fond of Venezuela Prez either.
