Judge Napolitano and Shep Smith Slam Syria Intervention 'No One Seems to Care About the Law' On Thursday afternoon, two of Fox News's more outspoken anti-war voices in Judge Andrew Napolitano and Shepard Smith spoke out against what they believe would be a "war crime" if the United States were to militarily intervene in the Syrian civil war, even after a potential congressional rejection vote.

"It is illegal under international law and illegal under the Constitution," Napolitano told his colleague. "You can use military force to attack somebody that attacked you or you can use military force to attack one that is about to attack you. Neither of those apply with respect to Syria." He added that, however, a country may legally use military force to enforce international norms when authorized to do so by the United Nations — a situation which has not happened here.

Napolitano also noted for Smith that, technically speaking, "the president can start any war he wants, against anybody he wants for 90 days and nothing congress can do about it" under the War Powers Act. However, he added, that law is unconstitutional.

"If the president is unleashed to do whatever he wants in Syria," Napolitano lamented, "Congress cannot stop him from putting the 75,000 boots on the ground that General Dempsey said would be necessary."

So if they do this, we have committed a war crime," Smith asserted.

Napolitano agreed, adding that, in the event we strike Syria, there will be no way of stopping the United States. "No judge is going to stop this; no one is going to prosecute the president," the judge said. "The American people don't want this to happen; our allies in the region don't want this to happen.

Who wants this to happen besides John Kerry and the president?

The judge concluded by suggesting that any president can become "lawless" when they have a powerful military at their disposal. "No one seems to care about the law here," he said. "They just seem to care about politics. Congress lets the president start a war; the president doesn't care what international law says. He wants to be vindicated politically."

Would this, technically, make President Hocus Pocus and John Kerry, War criminals?

A video of Congressman Grayson, he makes good sense.

I do not put my name on the internet. I am not suggesting that anyone does, I already sent emails to my Representatives. Smile

Hi Monkeys and Guest,

Did China Send Warships to support Russian Warships in the Mediterranean?  I have not heard anything on the news about Chinese ships in the Mediterranean.  I am questioning if this video is true or not - there is no conclusive evidence that these ships are in the Mediterranean.

China sent warships to the coast of Syria to support Russian warships as tensions build in preparation for a potential U.S military strike on Syria which could come as soon as next week. The People's Liberation Army dispatched the Jinggangshan and 3 more PLA warships to support Russia in case Russia decide engage U.S warships in that region, as the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation or SCO rules of engagement provide.

At the same time the Russian warships in the Mediterranean began to warm for a possible confrontation with the United States.

G8 parliament speakers warn against automatic support for invasion of Syria

TASS-TV LONDON, September 7 (Itar-Tass) -

The parliament speakers of the Group of Eight (G8) most industrialised nations have warned against “automatic support for an invasion of Syria”, State Duma Deputy Chairman Sergei Zheleznyak said.

He is leading the Russian delegation to a traditional meeting of the G8 parliament speakers being held in London.

“The parliament of Great Britain, which is obliged to rely on the opinion of the people, did not support the government on the military operation in Syria. This indicates [the importance of] active interaction between parliaments and society and respect for people’s opinion when discussing and making critical decisions,” Zheleznyak told ITAR-TASS on Saturday, September 7.

He noted that “American representatives are not present at the meeting.” “Having learnt that the Syria issue would be discussed, which was not initially on the agenda and the agreement to hold this discussion was reached only yesterday [September 6], they decided against attending the meeting,” the MP said.

“The absence of the American representatives from the Syria discussion among the G8 parliament speakers is yet another confirmation that the United States has no confidence in its position and lacks reliable evidence that could justify its intention to unleash an armed conflict in Syria,” Zheleznyak said.

He said the discussion was being moderated by John Bercow, Speaker of the House of Commons. “Apart from him, there is also a large British delegation here, which includes both senior members of parliament and officials from the British government,” he added.

No “further action” on Syria until UN chemical weapons experts publish report.

Hi Cookie,

Where is Ophra Winfrey?

I find the Benghazi scandal a puzzle. The many different stories and distractions, made it hard for me to connect the dots.

Kerry and BO are easier to understand.  Kerry looks like a used car saleman and BO looks like the guy who bought the car. Smile

No more war is right, Cookie!  Kerry/ BO, wanted a distraction from the Snowdon mess, (Benghazi, NSA,etc.) when he kept threatening, Russia, LOL, and Russia, did not give Snowden back.

Do remember why Bill whacked the Aspirin factory?  Hint: Blue dress! He wanted to changed the news.

Monkeys,

Why are B.O, Kerry, McCain, Patraeus, acting, so desperate and blood-thirsty for a war?

They act as though there is prize waiting them, what is the prize?

Syria is a Civil-War and have been fighting for years.

B.O. and Kerry, are trying to bully the American public and have tried to bully the Allies, why?

Has Kerry promised more than he can deliver to the Saudi's? Why is he so and desperate
to send soldiers to die? What is getting for his drama?

This is the Billion dollar question.  My opinions.

The United States Needs to Stay Out of Syria

Posted: 09/06/2013 5:24 pm

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, in testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said, "Our military objectives in Syria would be to hold the Assad regime accountable, degrade its ability to carry out these kinds of attacks and deter it from further use of chemical weapons." Even if we were to move forward with an air strike, our limited bombing would not be enough to stop the civil war, and would probably just kill more innocent civilians in the process.

« Syria Resolution Invites Escalation – Dick Morris TV: Lunch Alert!GOP Missing Opportunity To Win Young Over Syria – Dick Morris TV: Lunch Alert! »Sign The Petition To Stay Out Of Syria!
By Dick Morris on September 5, 2013
Dear Friend,

Click Here To Sign The Petition To Stay Out Of Syria![/color]

I am against our intervention in Syria. Both sides of this conflict are brutal, terrorist regimes and neither is worth a single American dollar or drop of blood. On the one side, we have Assad, a dedicated ally of Iran who stands poised to fight with Israel at the drop of a hat. On the other side, we have an al Qaeda-dominated coalition representing our worst enemies.

If you agree, please sign this petition to urge your Senators and Congressman to vote no on going to war, yet again, this time in Syria.

I do not sign petitions.  I just wanted to put DM opinion. Thank-you Smile

Syria's rebels and soldiers agree: military strikes will change nothing

Syria's rebels and President Bashar al-Assad's soldiers agree on next to nothing. They've killed each other by the tens of thousands in a war mired in stalemate. But they're now agreed on one thing. The military strike America is preparing will not change anything.

Kerry Fails to Sway EU Skeptics on Urgency of Syria Strike
Saturday, 07 Sep 2013 10:23 AM

VILNIUS, Lithuania  — Secretary of State John Kerry failed to sway his European counterparts on the urgency of a U.S.-led military strike to halt the use of chemical weapons in Syria’s 2 1/2-year civil war.

France, the principal U.S. ally in a possible assault, slowed its march to a confrontation by backing a European Union appeal to put off an armed response until the United Nations delivers a report on last month’s use of
