If they dont like Nats mother they should let the FBI get involved.
This in no way has changed my view of Aruba, I am still wanting to go there.

SB, this wasn't a translation from the radio or anything. This is what I hear. And yes, I speak Papiamento fluent.

What Edmond meant to say (in my opinion) is: We give everything, all our attention, time, efforts (we being non-cop/prosecution) to find Natalee, and we have to listen NH's mom being 'fresh', demanding her return now. We don't know where she is, we want to find her, but don't take that tone, otherwise you will make us stop caring.

I think in context her anger was directed more towards the suspects and not towards the aruban people.  She has been nothing but thankful to them, and is just upset like any mother.

aia, van Rijn is the son of the late owner of the Volkswagen dealership. He is very close to van der Sloot, and he has been taken in for questioning.

PLease, let's all not start fighting again.  In all honesty, do you think if Arubagirl turned up missing in Florida, that Jeb Bush would give all government employees the day off to go search for her??  I understand Natalee's moms frustration, but I also believe the Aruban people have gone above and beyond.

Yes, in fact I think I remember her saying in an interview that Aruban people have been wonderful and helpful and that she believed that everyone was working together in this investigation.  I do believe her anger is at the suspects and no one else.

sb, with the entrance of van Rijn into the picture, people are starting to get a bit scared. He has a very scary reputation, don't know if it's deserved or not.

Over to you arubagirl et al.  look lke they are wrapping up.  Somebody asked recently about the other stations.  there is a link in the aruba FAQ this site.  I keep it on all the time.

I think the first part was interesting becasue they are getting stuff from sources in the community, not from the cops.  i hpe the cops are listening.

I think as a southern girl, our values are a lot like Arubans.  From what I can see we both are VERY protective of our people and families.
Good point about Florida though.

Leslie. They are NOT searching. Not on a massive scale, at least.

I also know that there is real frustraton because it took them so long to make any arrests.

It is hard to not expect your own legal system.  One that is napoleanic is different than English Common Law.

Only LA. comes close in the US>

If you have taken this long to find my daughter you'd hear various tones from me!! That man needs some sympathy.  I would be shouting at the top of my lungs.  If he had a problem with it, he could let the FBI handle all the mother's concerns and look into her theories.

Aruba is 69 square miles.  Nothing would be considered a massive search.
