Florida authorities are asking the public’s help in locating two children, Madison Peters and McCala Peters, who have gone missing and may be heading to Minnesota with their father Edward Peters. Madison and McCala were last seen in the area of 5000 block of South Hummingbird Avenue in Inverness, FL on Sunday September 8. Police say that Edward Peters took his two young daughters against the wishes of their court-ordered guardian. The father does not have custody, nor is their legal guardian. There is a warrant out for his arrest.

Authorities say Edward Peters took his two young daughters against the wishes of their court-ordered guardian.

There is a warrant out for his arrest. Peters was on pre-trial release and removed his GPS ankle monitor issued to him in August, according to the ABC affiliate WFTS in Tampa, FL.

Authorities are concerned about the safety of the two girls.

The three may be traveling in a black 2000 Bravada, Michigan Tag # CNH7211. The vehicle was reported stolen from a campground in Sanilac County, Michigan.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) has released a missing person alert after two sisters were taken from a Florida home by their father, who may be heading to northern Minnesota.

CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. -- The search for a father who allegedly abducted his two young daughters is over.  Florida authorities say that authorities in Sweetwater, Montana arrested Edward Peters just before 5 a.m. this morning.

The Citrus County Sheriff's Office says Madison Peters and McKala Peters are doing well.
