An Amber Alert was issued for an hours old baby girl, Annabelle Martini, late Friday night in Washington state  who was taken by her 20 year old mother Jaime Martini shortly after she gave birth to the child. According to police, Annabelle Martini is suffering from “life-threatening medical conditions” and is in need of medical attention. Jaime Martini  gave birth to a baby girl born in Mill Creek about 6.30 a.m. local time (9.30 a.m. ET) Friday at an apartment complex in Mill Creek, WA with the help of a midwife. The midwife who assisted the home birth called 911 after the baby girl was having difficulty breathing and her skin turned a grayish color.

The two may be traveling in a white 2001 BMW 330CI with Washington license AJD7417 or a 1993 dark green Lexus SC400 with license plate 871WJF.

Annabelle Martini is suffering from “life-threatening medical conditions” and is in need of medical attention, according to police.

The girl is believed to be with her mother, Jaime Martini, who is described as 5-foot-3, 135 pounds with long, straight blonde hair and brown eyes.

“Martini fled with the infant and has not sought medical treatment for the child,” the alert said.

The two may be traveling in white 2001 BMW 330CI with Washington license AJD7417 and an aftermarket carbon fiber hood. Police are also looking for a 1993 dark green Lexus SC400 with Washington plate 871WJF.

Mill Creek police say Martini delivered the baby around 6:30 a.m. Friday at the Mill Creek apartment complex with the help of a midwife. The midwife called 911 to report the baby was having difficulty breathing and was not responsive. Police were dispatching an aid car but canceled it when Jaimie Martini said she was taking the baby to a hospital at the insistence of the midwife. However, she and the baby have not checked in at any area hospitals.

MILL CREEK, Wash. (AP) - Officials have canceled an Amber Alert after police located a young mother and her newborn daughter who reportedly had health issues.

Mill Creek police Officer Ian Durkee says the mother and baby were located Saturday morning at the mother's home in Tulalip in Snohomish County. He says the baby and mother are OK, and the baby is receiving medical attention.

He said Saturday that police are still investigating what happened and it's unclear whether charges will be brought against the woman.

I'm glad the newborn baby has been found safe.  I hope not only the baby's health issues are addressed, but the little baby girl's future is taken into consideration.
