Father pleads for safe return of missing Chicago woman


 October 25, 2013 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- The father of a Chicago woman who's been missing for two weeks is pleading for her safe return. Kelly Dwyer, 27, has been living in Milwaukee.

The night Kelly Dwyer disappeared, her boyfriend told Milwaukee police they went to dinner at a restaurant across the street from his apartment, then went to purchase cocaine. He then told police she left his apartment the next morning and she was fine.

Kelly Dwyer worked at Lululemon apparel store, and when she didn't show up for work her parents became concerned.

"I talked to her the Wednesday night of her disappearance and she was walking home from work. She had a short walk home and said she called just to say she loved me," said Tony Dwyer, father.

Police say Kelly Dwyer was last seen two weeks ago here at the Park Lafayette Towers while visiting her boyfriend, 38-year-old Kris Zocco.

Boyfriend of missing Kelly Dwyer arrested again, on child porn charges

Milwaukee police again arrested the boyfriend of missing woman Kelly Dwyer, this time on charges of possession of child pornography.

Kris Zocco, 38, was charged Friday with 17 counts of possessing child pornography. He already was facing charges of keeping a drug house, narcotics possession and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

Milwaukee police arrested Zocco in Richfield on Thursday night. According to the criminal complaint, when police searched Zocco's N. Prospect Ave. apartment, they found discs of suspected child pornography.

Detectives came back with a search warrant and confiscated several electronics, and found about 23 video depicting children, some as young as 2 or 3, engaged in sex acts, court documents state.

Volunteers scour area as authorities search landfill for Milwaukee woman missing for two weeks

A group of volunteers met Saturday to assist Milwaukee authorities in the search for 27-year-old Kelly Dwyer who was reported missing more than two weeks ago.

Family members are making desperate pleas for the woman’s safe return as details of the man Dwyer was last seen with begin to emerge.

Dwyer was allegedly seen at a restaurant on Oct. 10 with 38-year-old Kris Zoucco who told police they then went to his apartment to snort cocaine, Fox6Now.com reported.

Zuocco, who has not been charged in connection with Dwyer’s disappearance, has been arrested twice during the investigation on unrelated charges, the news station reported.

Bail raised to $250,000 for man last seen with Kelly Dwyer

Kris Zocco is answering to 17 counts of child pornography. He was also recently arrested on numerous drug charges.
 
Zocco's bail was recently set at $75,000 for the child pornography charges and $5,000 bond for the drug charges. In court on Wednesday, his bail for the child porn charges was raised to $250,000.

Human remains found in rural Jefferson County are those of Kelly Dwyer, so how did she die?

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The human remains found along a road in rural Jefferson County this past weekend have been positively identified as those of Kelly Dwyer. A forensic odontologist made the identification. Now, a new chapter begins: How did she die, and where? Will the evidence point to the man police have suspected since the beginning?
 
The remains were found by a citizen along Inlynd Rd. in the Town of Concord on Friday evening, May 1st. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office guarded the remains throughout the night until the State Crime Lab and other officials could process the scene come daylight Saturday morning. Since then, Jefferson County officials have been waiting for dental records to identify the remains.
 
Jefferson County Sheriff's officials said during a press conference Thursday evening there are mixed emotions. They are proud of their team of investigators, but heartbroken for the family of Kelly Dwyer.
 
The last person seen with her, Kris Zocco, is behind bars at the Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun for drug and child pornography convictions. He has never been charged in connection with Dwyer’s disappearance.
 
"The reality is, she is a young woman who went missing and now has been found deceased in Jefferson County and I can say that's certainly something that's suspicious in nature. We're going to continue to coordinate with those agencies in Milwaukee to try and bring the Dwyer family justice," Jefferson County District Attorney Susan Happ said.
   In January 2014, video obtained from Zocco's phone by police who executed a search warrant showed Dwyer struggling to breathe -- in a sexual position.
 
Those search warrants also indicated police may have suspected Zocco in relation to "homicide or mutilating or hiding a corpse." The documents reveal a cadaver dog picked up on scents in the first-floor trash area at Zocco's East Side apartment building, and on a shovel inside that trash room. Additionally, when the dog was allowed to sniff on the 18th floor of the building, it went straight to Zocco's door.
