I haven't seen confirmation that the "electronic monitoring" began immediately after the three were let go.  I have my doubts that it did, or that it was diligiently followed, especially since the police commissioner was apparently going with the "Ladies' Night after monster hangover" theory on the third day.

As for this supposed "lead us to Natalee" gambit... there's nothing within it that precludes the collection of evidence.  Furthermore, you could have detained Joran, let the brothers go, and still could have pursued the same strategy, while, at the same time, interrogate a lead suspect at the most critical time.   That's why I think it's hogwash.

Unless they didn't know which of the three had any useful info.  There's still the tidbit about some additional peice of info given the family and not yet revealed; specifically that it wasn't seen as a simple runaway from early on.  Whether this view was held by DEA, FBI, and/or Aruban LE is unknown, but at lest one of them expressed this to the family.

Has the possibility that NH could be held in one of the thousands of hotel rooms?  Have they been searched?  It would be easy to conceal someone if the employee had access and involved.  It sems that "Mariott" has come up alot..?

That article in the Black & White newspaper made it seem like NH's mom's positive attitude on the case to the media was just...for show....where, in reading the article in the B & W, the whole family was pissed at the way the investigation was conducted. My question is...why would Beth not be upfront w/ the MSM on her opinions of the case being handled by the Aruban Police?

My sense is she was pissed in the beginning, but once things started moving along she decided the best plan was to support LE, at least for the time being.  They now give her daily updates,etc.  While she cracks from time to time I suspect her good nature is tenative and based on movement in the case. I'm sure if things don't continue to move she'll go nuts...and I don't blame her.

FOX JUST REPORTED:
Both of Joran's parents are being interrogated as witnesses, not suspects in the case.  They both arrived this morning for interviews with LE...they're continuing the report shortly.

That is running thru my mind also,bc he makes indeed a great patsy with a father who`s working in the judicial system. and maybe that is also the reason why there is so little info coming out on the brothers.

All the media jumps on Joran but why not on the brothers??

Actually, if you think about what we really know, it is very little. Most of the things that we now regard as fact are actually speculation. The sources for these facts tend to be friends who know someone in the FBI, or something to that effect. That hardly gives me comfort that we know very much of the truth, particularly because we have heard virtually nothing from the investigators.

I do think it's entirely possible that the guys in custody are largely (but not entirely) innocent here. The more complicated this seems to get, the more I think they are just bit players in a much bigger story.

Both parents being interrogated.  I like that.  To me that indicates that they still believe Joran to be a major player in this.  Why else would they have the father for 4 hours yesterday and both parents today.

They could be.  I do believe they know more.  They have had to crack by now though.  If they are arresting more people then it is bigger than they thought.  I think something happened to her and they freaked.
