I suppose I also am inclined towards the kidnap by Columbian drug cartel theory because that would mean that Nat is still alive.  I want to believe she is alive, and her mother's insistance that she is alive is very compelling.  Joran's parents might be valuable sources of information as regards what they have observed and heard about the bros, too.  They've spent time at Joran's home and mother and father have to have spoken with them and seen them, like around the pool with their son.  As a mother, I know I hear a lot from the next room when the teenagers are messing around in the family room or out by the pool!  I don't try to eavesdrop (usually!) but I do overhear conversations amongst the kids.

Okay, try this on. If the father has gotten this family in trouble could the police bring this family in and offer them some kind of witness protection for thier cooperation?

SUNDAY: Missing man has been identified as Sergio Gomez. This case and the dead, partially decapitaed, body found at Sabana are not believed to be related to the Natalee Holloway case.

Wasn't one of the first persons Nat's mother spoke with on the island a DEA agent?  I believe he was described as "happened to be there."  It's well know we have a strong DEA presence in the Caribbean.  I don't think they just "happen" to be anywhere.  And why contact with him so quickly?  Could the older brother be working for one of the cartels?  On his website, it said he was accepted into Valencia Community College in Miami.  Miami is the entrance point for much of the Columbian drug trade and it is logical to believe that the cartel has many people in Florida, as well as other cities, I suppose, working for them.  We heard early on that the two bros, especially, were known as the "dealers."  There are just too many clues here to ignore this.

Her parents called Sen Sessions before they left. Not sure but think I heard that FBI guys may have flown with them.  Thefore line to DEA etc. was available early!

I think I heard earlier that all 3 had now been moved to the prison.  If that's the case, then Joran isn't even there.

Joran was moved also Dragonfly but my main question about the move is why Deepak was moved the night before Satish and Joran were.

I had that question too Cali but then I thought "Judge talked to Dpak first...had to make report...then talked to VDS dad, then had to still talk to the other 2 (maybe not in that order) and file papers so maybe it was just the timing was too late to move them?"

Valencia Community College is in Orlando, not Miami.

Maybe it had something to do with age.  Purely speculation here, but Deepak is the oldest and in his 20's, right?  Maybe they had to make special arrangements for the younger boys being minors.

Sergio Gomez is the missing person, we just heard his name for the first time today.  Renee Van Hanegem is the guy who was decapitated yesterday.

Remember way back when - Mother VDS said she had had a very open and frank conversation with Joran after the disappearance but prior to his incarceration - perhaps Joran said things to his parents - especially about some of the other players which he doesn't feel he should divulge to the police - because (misguidedly) he doesn't want to be labeled a turncoat by the Kalpoes - part of being naiive and 17 - so the parents who have a better idea of the global picture and ramifications turn out to be in fact far more informative / valuable than Joran.

 He doesn't seem your usual 17 yr old! Runs w' older shady lookin crowd for sure!

A growing theory in the news media (unreported) is that Steve is being held on obstruction of justice charges or the equivilent.

It is possible that the parents may be defending themselves at this point from similar charges.
