Found Skeleton
Posted on 21. Jan, 2014 by vologon in Featured News, Missing Persons

The Houston Police Department requested the help of the Texas EquuSearch team to conduct a search for a missing northeast Houston man on January 21st 2014. During the course of the search in a wooded area, the Texas EquuSearch members located the skeletal remains of an unidentified person near a shallow grave. The age, gender and identity of the remains must still be determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences and Houston Police Department investigators. But we are confident that the skeletal remains are not those of the missing man for whom the team had been searching. Undoubtedly, some distraught family has been worrying about what happen to their missing loved one, or where they might be. Hopefully some family will now get some of the answers.  http://texasequusearch.org/2014/01/found-skeleton/

I'm thinking back to some of the MP cases in the area.  Since we don't yet know how long the remains have been there, nor the gender, it makes it difficult to guess, especially if the remains may be of someone not even reported missing.     Like you Sister, I too hope some family will get some peace.

O/T -- did I dream or read that progress is being made in which DNA will be able to be processed in hours as versus weeks?  Maybe I dreamed it -- how awesome would that be!
