The Wayne County Sheriff's Office has arrested 24-year-old Jaret Medsger in the death of Reann Murphy.

Here is a pic of the sick and twisted dirt-bag killer who most likely will have sexual assault and rape added to his charges once they complete the autopsy.

Very Sad ...

We knew this was coming ... Police said Metsger is a neighbor and acquaintance of the Murphy family.  At this time, no motive has been established for the murder.

You are so right Red. Am sure the dirt bag will have the added charges against him as soon as little Reanns autopsy is finished.

Neighbor arrested in case of Ohio girl found in trash bin
December 15, 2013

A neighbor has been arrested in the killing of a 9-year-old Ohio girl whose body was found in a trash bin near her home.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office says 24-year-old Jerrod Metsger was arrested on a murder charge early Sunday afternoon.

Sheriff Travis Hutchinson wouldn't say how Reann Murphy was killed or offer a motive. He described Metsger as a family friend and neighbor.

Deputies found her body in a trash bin in a courtyard of the mobile home park at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, about five hours after she was reported missing.

Hutchinson said Metsger and Reann were seen together at the mobile park on Saturday before she disappeared.

The investigation is ongoing.

"There is a lot of information that has to come from this," Dan Lutz, Wayne County prosecutor, told CBS affiliate WOIO.
Police said a video arraignment for Metsger will be held on Monday morning

WAYNE COUNTY CORONER CONCLUDES REANN MURPHY WAS STRANGLED (WITH 911 AUDIO)
Metsker, arraigned on aggravated murder, made 9-1-1 call
By STEVEN F. HUSZAIStaff Writer Published: December 17, 2013 4:00AM

WOOSTER -- A Smithville man arrested and suspected in the murder of nine-year-old Reann Murphy, made the 9-1-1 call reporting her missing Saturday evening. He was arraigned Monday morning on a charge of aggravated murder for strangling the girl, according to the coroner's preliminary autopsy.

Jerrod E. Metsker, 24, 5912 Akron Road, Lot 12, entered a plea of not guilty during a video arraignment in Wayne County Municipal Court. His bond was set at $1 million cash or surety by Judge Timothy VanSickle. Metsker is still in Wayne County Jail and a preliminary hearing was set for Dec. 23.

The coroner's office will continue to evaluate the girl's body and anticipated a final report within 12 weeks.

In the 9-1-1 call, a caller who identifies himself as Metsker said Murphy was last seen a few hours prior and that neighbors were searching for her. Another caller, who identifies himself as Nicholas Lupole, told dispatch his step-child was playing with Murphy.

Metsker can be heard out of breath relaying information from another in his vicinity to dispatch.

Lutz added that to investigators' knowledge Metsker has no criminal history. Although, Lutz said one of his juvenile prosecutors remembered having a "history" with Metsker. "He's been here since at least (Metsker) was nine years old," Lutz said.

Metsker was living with his mother at the Akron Road mobile home park, just north of Smithville, where he reportedly knew Reann Murphy as a neighbor. Reann Murphy was staying with her mother, Kelly Jones, who Lutz said was not home and was instead tending to one of her other children.
