Horman was arrested in Marin County, California on Dec. 23. Police said a patrol officer spotted a car that had a "mechanical violation."

When he ran the registration of the car, the officer was notified that it had been reported stolen out of Sacramento.

The officer stopped the car and arrested the driver, who was identified as Horman. She was booked into the Marin County Jail on the charge of taking a vehicle without the owner's consent.

From Blink:  That's ridiculous, in fact,  the Yuba County DA actually called their defendant the "infamous step mom" in a post on Dec. 6, 2016.    In fact, the complainant (Goines) refused to press charges and they were dropped.  Once the DA knew who she was (via Goines) the DA refiled them without him.  I think people will be pretty shocked to read the transcripts throughout this case.   I will be publishing them without edit when I receive them.  Their FB post:

It is my understanding the editors at People Mag intend to ask McGrath about this post given his quote above.


I find Ms. Tuft's quote disingenuous at best considering Terri was acquitted- the jurors were not unclear as to whether or not Terri planned to "keep" the gun in the first place, as it was returned to Goines within hours.  AND... as Goines testified, it was never removed from the safe,  it was in a bag unmarked that Horman grabbed when leaving, and when LE contacted her, she found it and returned it- all within a few hours but within minutes of locating her.

Anyone notice how that factoid has been left out of every single piece of coverage?    The fake news outlets just keep churning.

A few tidbits after reading some transcript info:

The gun was not in the safe, it was stuffed in a bag unmarked Terri picked up thinking it was her belongings. Once she was contacted by LE and notified she had it- she voluntarily returned it immediately. That’s correct- Goines had his firearm returned within a few hours and immediately after TMH was notified she had it. You can’t possess something you don’t even know you have- and the reason why she was never charged with same. Every article I have ever read stated she stole the gun from a safe- and that “when contacted” she admitted it was in her possession. Um, ok, why not follow up with the fact it was returned immediately and not in her possession since?

Also in the transcripts from an in chambers hearing- Tufts was prompted by the Judge to dismiss the case- most especially because (get ready for this) the interview statements of both Goines and Horman were damaged due to faulty equipment (yep, that ole story) and the 911 calls they say were deleted due to a catastrophic error in the system.

Translation: we have zero credible evidence and she returned the gun immediately upon notification and although the complainant refused to press charges for a misdemeanor- we are going to persecute this “infamous” woman and see how far we get. Outrageous abuse of power and waste of taxpayer money.  B

Think about it.

*  Terri's own attorney acknowledges that his client is in "the cross hairs" of investigators in the 2010 disappearance of her then seven year old stepson.

*  Two domestic partners filed legal documents alleging Terri had stolen from them.

*  One domestic partner and one husband filed motions with the courts requesting restraining orders alleging that they feared for not only their lives but the lives of loved ones.  Both were granted restraining orders against Terri.

What are the chances that all her accusers are wrong?

The complaint occured in August 2015, the original complaint WAS DROPPED due to a lack of probable cause on September 9, 2015.  The DA refiled it the same day.  At the time of that FB post,  the case they said "dropped in their laps"  was about 15 mos old.  Plenty of disconnect.

There is nothing Bottom Line about that Janet- I just literally proved to you McGrath is not telling the truth, with actual facts.  The FB post is 15 months after her arrest- which the complainant dropped and the DA refiled on his own.  Those items are easily accessible within the court record for you to review instead of relying on fake news. 

On this Independence Eve, most especially, I am hopeful folks remember that our forefathers intended for us to be proud of and to live by our United States Constitution.  One of the most important rights it gives us is the presumption of innocence.'

Terri Horman has never been charged with a crime relating to her son's disappearance and she was recently acquitted by a jury of her peers- another right of due process we all share.

Lastly- tunnel vision is preventing any developments in finding this child, regardless of who one suspects may or may not be involved and that should be the priority.

Why have MCSO and MCDA not taken action?  Why has Terri Horman at the very least not been held legally responsible for the illegal possession of a firearm?  In defiance of Oregon court restraining/no-contact/civil orders ... official reports confirm that Terri was in possession of a firearm when in November, 2015 California authorities responded to a complaint alleging she had stolen a firearm.

Terri is the definition of teflon when it comes to being held legally accountable for wrongdoing ... nothing sticks.

Terri Horman is not allowed within 150 feet of the home where her estranged husband, Kaine, lives with their daughter Kiara.

That's according to a civil no-contact order signed Thursday by Judge Henry Kantor.

It replaces a restraining order that had been in place since Kaine was told three years ago that law enforcement officials had evidence Terri had hired a hit man to kill him.

Kaine had just had the restraining order renewed a few weeks ago.

The order also prevents her from approaching Kiara’s daycare, Kaine's office at Intel in Hillsboro and the gym he works out at in Beaverton.

She is also prohibited from approaching Skyline Elementary where their son Kyron was last seen in June 2010.

The order is part of the ongoing divorce proceedings between the two.

Could it be that the alleged dropped stolen gun complaint of August 15, 2015 was no longer the only issue when the prosecutor allegedly refiled on September 9, 2015?

Could it be that "the illegal possession of a firearm" became the primary focus of the refiling.  Think about it.  Oregon restraining/no-contact/civil court orders forbid Terri to be in the possession of firearms or ammunition.

Could it be that one day prior to the June 27, 2017 trial the judge ruled at the Limine hearing that the Oregon rulings were inadmissible evidence as relevant testimonies would compromise the ongoing Kyron Horman investigation?

Could it be that the blurred lines of entitlement in domestic relationships implied that an acquittal by the jury was a given in regards to the refiled stolen gun charge? I
