Per CNN:

-Tattoo party boat not searched
-Steve Croes' boss not questioned
-Computers at Internet Cafe not checked

There were other points that I missed since I didn't see the beginning of the story.  Anyone?

I'm curious about that too YPD!  Also anything else on the FBI investigation in Venezuela BHT spoke of Friday?

According to an Aruba  spokesman on Fox last night, he said they are not obligated to check ID's when asked about Joran gambling in the casinos with him being only 17. Why would they check id's concerning the internet?

Maybe if you know people with kids who have these websites, you could give them a heads up. I know that blogger.com has an option to make a blog private, I don't know about the myspace and tickle etc.

I am curious about something that won't make me very popular, I'm sure.  Why does a 7th grader have a publically available blog?

It's this wanting to get attention thing...mine was public when I was like 15 and I liked getting comments from random people...like I was proud of myself because I was interesting and I liked showing off...I dunno. The ONLY way to have one of those, really, is to make it P-R-I-V-A-T-E. It should only be for friends, anyway!

so you want to protect natalee from legitimate questions but have no problem with us putting up a kid's website for thousands of eyes?  give me a break.  sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

Um...I said that? I wasn't aware I did...I said earlier I thought her link should be taken down, because she's only a kid.

For the mountain brook kids, on other web sites they are slandering natalee saying she took out $2000 in Aruba from her saving account (how would they know) and she disappeared in Costa Rica for 4 days. Where did these rumours start?

No clue! But know these rumors are totally unfounded! (They are made up by people who feel it's easier to spread lies than believe that bad things really can and do happen to good people.... they choose to further antagonize the situation rather than search for truth!)

Yeah...she's never run away before, and where would she get $2,000? THat's a lot of money...

So very glad you're standing tall on this one....this has been zinging around wherever the internet is...it's like the air we breathe...thank you.

Nothing on the bottom of the FOxnews update. This story of the DJ is currently FALSE.

All boxopen is talking about is the fact that the 3 suspects and the DJ are being detained for as suspects for "2 counts of murder".  He was wondering how they get 2 counts out of one person (Natalee).

Thats my point no one knows what they are being held on. Nothing has been reported.

This has been reported for weeks on MSM.  They have to suspect them of specific crimes to detain them but do not have to formally "accuse" them until they are ready to go to trial.  At one time, the security guards were being held on the same "suspected" crimes.  I've heard the PR person from the justice ministry talk about this on MSM.

Don't take this the wrong way, but if the FACT is they are being held on murder charges. Then Natalee was murdered, therefore she is dead. Yet this forum goes on and on about hope. You cannot believe both things.

I wondered that myself when I heard that reported about the security guards when they were being held.  But the information has come right out of the JM over there.  I think it is just how things are done there.  They are there on "suspicion" of those crimes because they have no proof that those crimes were for sure commited yet, but the girl is missing, they think these guys are responsible, and they have to be held under suspicion of some crimes.

I was just watching Fox News, they said that the DJ was being held on suspicion on two counts of murder and 1 count of kidnapping leading to murder, the same as the other three.

Does this mean the Aruba Authorities have some evidence  that Natalies not alive? Sad

I only took this to mean that they have changed his (Steve's) "status" from witness to suspicion, which is what the other boys are being held on as well.

By the way, I intro'd myself earlier today, but for those of you on here only at night, hello to all of you as well!

I think strange things are happening with strings of quotes.

Would Natalee's clothing or say a hairbrush have the material the dogs would need?

Although I thought one of the big things about the Texas team was that they use horses and can get places not accessable to other searches.

26 year old Steve Croes was arraigned today before the judge commissioner who extended his detention for 8 days. Croes was picked up at his house in Casariba, in Santa Cruz. He is suspected of the same matters as the three young people, accessory to murder, accessory to manlaughter (doodslag) or intentional kidnapping (opzettelijke vrijheidsberoving). Croes is DJ on the partyboat de Tattoo.

Taken from a previous post.....notice the word "or" in the next to last sentence.    So they don't know anything yet.

Do you think that Joran and his friends in jail have access to media reports in jail?  Would they know about the other murders?  Do they depend upon visitors for news reports?  I'm thinking about the suicide attempt and possible reasons for the attempt, wondering if the suspects realize the amount of pain and suffering they've caused, in addition to straining relations between the US and Aruba.

maybe Joran is a master manipulator and thinks the suicide attempt will make others feel sympathy for him and his family. If he is so upset, can't he see how upset her family is. Did his family not teach him compassion? I would be crying if I hurt an animal and my 23 year old still can't watch Bambi without crying?

I think he is going to use the attempt to plead insanity when convicted or to get a sentence at a mental institution.

there is not a basis for concluding that Joran attempted suicide.  the report say one of them did.  How can he "see" how the parents are suffering as we do?  You think he has FOX?  He is locked up and incommunicado except for his lwyers, his mother's visits and his interviewers.
