That's him, all right. (Croes)

Thanks.  (And to the others who agreed, too!)

Then it appears he is not "just" a DJ and perhaps does have something to do with running the boat, based upon his uniform.

AmericanInAruba and DJTaylor, both of whom know him, said he was the captain, so it's odd that they keep referring to him as just the dj.  The guy from diario was asked by Greta if Steve had anything to do with running the boat and he said no.  Maybe he's not officially licensed to pilot the boat, but he does sometimes??

Hey, where is DJ taylor?? Maybe a baby?

I think that's just a uniform for show, looks better than a t-shirt and jeans, goes with the theme of the boat.  Plus the people they have interviewed on tv make me believe he doesn't operate the boat.  Just my opinion.  Flame me......

I don't blame them for wanting to get the evidence in the hands of people who may be able to find her before it's too late.

Personal opinion:  wouldn't want to be on the witness chair if Greta Vansusteran was doing her stacatto questioning act...I met her in the Ronal Reagan Airport just before she went down to Florida to report on the Bush v. Gore thingy...

She's just like on the TV...asks you Q's...probes and is so disarmingly plain.

Don't ever underestimate this woman.

She and her hubby are said to be high on the list of the most powerful people in the biz. (wealthiest also)
Did you see her before her plastic surgery?

Cali...I hope you get us some more info on the Kalpoes. I know Nancy said they are nice and I will go with that for now.

I do however have some questions about this boat and who exactly is the DJ and who is the captain...and are they interchangeable? Because Steve Croes is either a pretty versatile guy who has a lot of talents or he is just a DJ. What difference? Don't know at this point.

Another report from Dan Riehl:

Joran v d Sloot: A Contrast In Character
Following up on a story by Steve Huff of The Dark Side, having reviewed certain records, including text and images, which cannot be made public as they involve minors not implicated in this case, it does seem apparent that 17 year old high school senior Joran v d Sloot walked a strange and wide line between man and boy.

Apparently, at the same time 6'4" school athelete was said to be a proficient gambler frequenting the clubs and casinos in Aruba, he was also known to have had an apparent romantic involvement with a 7th grade girl of thirteen until her parents learned of the relationship and made their daughter break off the relationship back in March.

Read more about it here: http://www.planethuff.com/darkside/archives/cat_the_vanishing_of_natalee_holloway.html

This story was very likely pulled from Valentijn's girlfriend's blog.

Thanks for the clarification.  It still contradicts what the Diario guy said, though.

I was looking on Yahoo this morning to see if they have any groups focusing on the Natalee Holloway case.  I was horrified to find a group (the first one listed) that said some truly innappropriate things about NH.  I will spare you the details but it was some vile name calling.

I reported the matter to Yahoo and they have yet to respond.  When I checked a few minutes ago, the group was still listed.  It is really disgusting that people can do this and even worse that Yahoo doesn't seem to care.

Yahoo won't ever do anything .... you can say anything and they don't care.  Their message boards are totally out of control.
