I might try to stretch to five columns or rearrange somethings and add Steve Croes or the Brothers to the feeds tonight. I want to keep it readable.

OK Listen up.

Before I go home, and log right back in. I am retracting a previous statement.

I do not think the BS'ing needs to stop nor do we need another thread. These threads are what they are and have been for quite sometime. Also a peek rumor time that are on target and invaluable.

Possibly the only recommendation I would make is: It is the regulars responsibility for the Breaking News only thread to be up to date and accurate and clean. Then when people say they cant find x,y,z we point them there unless the are looking for a rumor. Then I guess we have to help them.

End of soapbox time to make the 1.5 hour commute home in a few. Smile

Stop posting good things! I was supossed to leave! JK

Thank you absolut! You could not be more true. I have not seen one time where someone did not ask for an update that someone here gave them everything, started over with the news etc. We are always helpful!

Heck some of us, use all our time to trying to get breaking news for everyone, verify it..do all we can. I have spent countless hours on it myself.

There's no need to scroll and feel like you need to catch up for breaking news... I get PM'd all the time from people asking me for information updates, which I gladly give and will always give!

Yes, I agree with Cali, Absolut. Did you know that we BOTH maintain huge boards with all the info from this case just to stay up to date? I am willing to point anyone in the right direction.

Does anyone remember that another girl (Amy Bradley)  Confused

Amy Bradly went missing from a cruise ship approaching Curacao. She was never in Aruba. Some guy reported later he had seen her in a brothel, but it was later found that he made that up to extort money from the parents.

Katya,

I don't know of any extortion plot through the news etc, so if my facts are wrong I apologize. .

The extortion effort and the man reporting to have seen her in a brothel are two different events in this sad story.

I do remember Amy Bradley was on a cruise ship, but she got off in Aruba and never came back to the ship.  She was reported to have been at the same bar Nat was in.  Just curious if anyone finds this a little disconcerting.

Again: http://www.tggweb.com/amybradley/  This should clear up any misstatements about Amy.

As frustrating as it is, the Aruban police department is doing the right thing by not allowing this case to become a media spectacle.

That means they are utter failures because THIS CASE IS A MEDIA SPECTACLE. Make no mistake about that!

Has anyone seen the news about this and others missing from Aruba?

This reminds me of some confusion from the first day, something I & many others found while googling, trying to find information on kidnappings in Aruba.

We found this article about 2 sisters kidnapped by their brother to be sold into prostitution.  "Aruba police" cracked the case in 2 weeks, rescued the women unharmed.  Good news:  Aruba police are great!  Bad news:  Apparent cover-up!  Because the story was only found on 2 American news sites, & none from Aruba.  This was discussed a lot among us on other message boards.

I questioned those news sites & got an answer today.  For those of you who had seen &/or commented on that story...   It was a TOWN called Aruba in IRAQ!   Considering how much speculation this article caused, I thought I ought to pass along this info.

Sooooo, FYI!

With the government sitting tight on their information, you should expect the rumor mill to run at highspeed.

The Aruban radio stations and papers will be reporting anything and everything. Of course Fox and CNN don't have that great a record either. Alas, I don't think it will be possible to know that is true and what isn't for the short term.

Here is a link to the Amy Bradley's parents interview with Dan Abrahms where they explain the events that happened on Aruba and the ship just before their daughter dissappeared:

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/8143921/

Here is that portion of the interview:

Iva Bradley, mother of missing girl: We have fought for seven years to get the attention that Amy needs to be found.  When we discovered Amy missing, we begged the ship's personnel to not put the gangway down, to not allow anybody to leave the ship.  And we told them that, if Amy had left the room for any more than 15 minutes, she would have left us a note.

And they put the gangway down anyway.  People left the ship in Curacao. And please keep in mind that Curacao is part of the Netherlands Antilles. It's the next island over from Aruba.

We spent the entire day in Aruba, the day before.  We rented a Jeep. We went out all day long.  One side of the island is for tourists, obviously.  The other side of the island is destitute, as far as desert, and tumbleweeds, goats, dogs.

We get back on the boat.  We're there that afternoon.  That evening, one of the waiters came up to us as we were in the atrium.  He specifically asked for Amy by name.  I asked him why he wanted Amy.  He said because we want to take her to a bar.

And I said, "She's with her brother in the casino."  So when they came out, we told her about the waiter wanting to take her off of the ship.  And she screwed her mouth up and said, "No way, that's too creepy."  We suggested being in a foreign country that they not leave the ship.  We came to find out that the same bar that they wanted to take Amy to was the same bar as Natalee Holloway was in.

Yes, although Amy Bradlee had left Aruba and was on a crusie ship destined to Curacao when she disappeared.  A serviceman later reported seeing her in a brothel (and passed a lie detector test).

From what I have read and seen from her parents there was a fuzzy connection between a bartendar at CnC and 3 guys that worked on Amy's cruise ship that had an unusual interest in her(Amy).  I believe there is more going on on this little piece of paradise than most people know. JMHO

:::De-Lurking:::

All..just a few comments...although I have posted very little I have been following this BB since day 1 from morning till night. I am from Birmingham originally and while I do not have children of my own EVERY account of a missing son/daughter tears me apart.

In reference to to what was said about "more going on in this little paradise...." I wanted to say after spending the last 5 years traveling extensivly in the Carribean, Central America and South America there is indeed a difference between what happens in thos countries as opposed to what happens in America. I have been to these countries and have seen it first hand.

First...thanks to our Aruban friends for their help and support!!!

Second...thanks to all for your posts and insights

Thirdly...PRAY for Natalee and her safe return, For Her Family and that no matter what the outcome that this horrible horrible situation may be used to save other lives of other people in the future.

Go "On the Record" weeknights at 10 p.m. ET

Natalee Holloway's mother wants answers about what happened to her daughter and on Tuesday, she took action!

Tune in tonight for a special edition of "On the Record" live from Aruba (search) as Natalee's mother confronts the parents of Joran van der Sloot (search), one of the young men suspected in Natalee's disappearance. It's exclusive video that you won't see anywhere else!

Plus, Natalee's family members are ready to take legal action. We'll get the details from their Aruban lawyer, Vinda de Sousa.

We'll get the latest on the investigation from Jossy Mansur, managing editor of Diario, the largest paper in Aruba.

And, two of Natalee's best friends go "On the Record."

Only Greta takes you this close to the case!

Did she attend the Soul Beach Festival?  Reason, the security guard unifom matches the description of the 3 suspect initially..

Also Amy Bradley dissapearance there were some local? musicians that came on board and performed, also invited Amy to visit CnC she declined.
Is there a connection? Who are these musicians?  Can they go and come toe the island freely?

do you actually think we could keep up with all the leads/theories etc without notes? I mean the webpage copies of all the people and friends take up my family room alone. LOL
