Jailed golf pro charged with hiring hit-man to kill boys he allegedly molested
April 30, 2014

LIVERMORE, Calif. — A prominent California golf instructor currently in jail for child sex abuse charges is facing new charges of plotting to kill the boys who accused him of the abuse.
Court documents filed Tuesday by the Alameda County District Attorney's office detailing the plot. The report by the district attorney's investigator states that Andrew Nisbet tried to hire a hit man from inside his cell at Santa Rita jail in Dublin, Calif.
Nisbet was arrested in December, accused of sexually abusing three boys in his junior golf program. On Tuesday, prosecutors added three new counts for solicitation of murder. The Livermore golf instructor was already facing 75 felony counts. Those charges include oral copulation with a minor, molestation, child pornography, and lewd acts on three unnamed boys who were between 12 and 17-years-old.
According to the investigator's report, a deputy at the jail said on February 25, 2014 an informant showed him letters from Nisbet which asked to have the victims taken care of. The report says the confidential informant, "received more letters from Nisbet agreeing on a price for each victim."

Andrew Nisbet, Livermore Golf Coach, Charged With 75 Counts of Child Molestation
January 15, 2014

Prosecutors added 10 new allegations and a new victim in a case against a well-known Bay Area youth golf coach, bringing the total number of molestation counts to 75 and the number of young boys to three.

Andrew Nisbet, 31, did not enter a plea Wednesday in Alameda County Superior Court, and his family, who was present, did not want to speak publicly. Nisbet was ordered to return to court on Feb. 20.

Deputy District Attorney Edward Vieira-Ducey first charged Nisbet in December, when prosecutors filed 65 counts against him, alleging he molested two of his golf students. Specific charges include oral copulation by force, lewd and lascivious acts on a child and distribution of lewd behavior. The alleged crimes occurred between December 2009 through March 2012, court documents allege.

Nisbet's pre-trial hearing is July 9, 2014, and he's being held without bond.  Isn't he special?!   He allegedly molested students and then plotted to kill them from jail.

California golf coach accused of molesting students, plotting to kill them pleads not guilty

LIVERMORE, Calif. –  A Northern California golf teacher accused of molesting his students and plotting to kill them from jail has pleaded not guilty.

Authorities say Nisbet, 32, of Livermore tried to hire a hit man to kill the victims. The plan fell through when an informant gave Nisbet's letters to a sheriff's deputy in late February.

Nisbet also faces 75 felonies for charges including lewd acts with minors and arranging sexual meetings with minors. The charges mostly stem from Nisbet allegedly sexually assaulting three boys between the ages of 12 and 17 from 2009 to 2012.

Plea deal.  Twenty-seven years.      Perhaps it kept his former students from having to sit in a courtroom with him and testify.  Still, he not only assaulted three boys, he was plotting to kill them.  He should have had life without parole, imo.

California golf coach sentenced to 27 years for abusing 3 students, plotting to kill them

HAYWARD, Calif. –  A popular northern California golf teacher convicted of molesting his students and plotting to kill them from jail has been sentenced to 27 years in state prison.

Alameda County District Attorney spokeswoman Teresa Drenick says Andrew Nisbet of Livermore was sentenced Thursday.

The 32-year-old Nisbet was convicted of sexually assaulting three boys between the ages of 12 and 17 from 2009 to 2012. He was arrested in December a day before he was to receive a PGA award for his work with young golfers.

Prosecutors say Nisbet tried to hire a hit man to kill the victims weeks after his arrest. The plan fell through when an informant gave Nisbet's letters to a sheriff's deputy in late February.

Under a plea deal, prosecutors dismissed nearly 80 felony charges that could have meant a life sentence.
