Search underway for missing Dundee mom

DUNDEE, OR (KPTV) -

A search is underway in Dundee for a missing mother. She went to run errands Thursday and never came home.

"We're over 48 hours at this point, where she's been missing," her husband, Kallen Huston, said.

He last saw his wife, Jennifer Huston, Thursday night when she left their Dundee neighborhood to run errands. Thirty minutes later, she swiped her debit card at the Circle K gas station on Portland Road in Newberg.

"That's the last that anyone saw of her," Huston said.

He said the 38-year-old mother of two wouldn't vanish on her own and that she would never leave her sons, who are 2 and 6 years old.

"Completely odd," Huston said. "Completely out of character for her, to just disappear like this."

Her family is papering neighborhoods and highways with her picture, driving around looking for her SUV and calling hospitals.

"You start calling anybody and everybody you can think of," Huston said.

Her father, Bill Turner, said wherever she is it's not by choice.

"She's not coming home because she can't come home," Turner said.

None of her family noticed anything out of the ordinary leading up to her disappearance. They're hoping for the best but fearing the worst.

"

Jennifer Huston drives a dark green 1999 Lexus LX 470 with Oregon license plate WXH 011.

She's 5'7" with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing black and pink Nike shoes and black yoga pants.

Anyone with information should call Dundee Police.

Dundee mom gases up Lexus, vanishes
Missing woman Jennifer Huston, 38, last seen at Newberg gas station
By KOIN 6 News staffPublished: July 26, 2014, 2:00 pm
Updated: July 26, 2014, 7:58 pm

DUNDEE, Ore. (KOIN 6) – Just over a week ago, the last time Julie McLellan saw her friend of seven years Jennifer Huston, they talked about wine tasting and Huston’s upcoming wedding anniversary.

Today, McLellan is canvassing the area near Dundee, Ore. in the hopes it will help find the dedicated stay-at-home mom, missing since Thursday.

“I still can’t believe I’ve got these flyers in my lap,” McLellan said. “There was nothing out of the ordinary at all.”

“She’s potty training our two year old, this is not something she would do.”

A search effort is underway to find mother of two Jennifer Huston, 38, who was last seen filling her Lexus SUV at the Circle K gas station at 3101 Portland Rd. in Newberg, Ore. at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, roughly four miles from Dundee. Since then, her phone has been off, McLellan said.

Huston is five-feet seven-inches, of average build with shoulder-length blonde hair and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing black and pink Nike sneakers and black yoga pants. It is presumed she is with her car, a 1999 Lexus LX SUV with Oregon license plate WXH 011.

‘Something’s not right’

Huston’s husband, Kallen Huston, said when she didn’t return from running errands by 10:00 p.m. Thursday night, he knew something was wrong. He called her girlfriends to see if she was with them, and by 11:00 p.m., he was panicking.

“It’s very uncharacteristic of her, she’s a very regimented person, she sticks to a schedule,” said Kallen Huston.

“She’s potty training our two year old, this is not something she would do.” He said she has no history of mental illness.

“Some points in time I feel like I have control and we’re working together to get to an end result to find Jennifer but then other times I feel like I’m just going to lose it,” said Kallen Huston.

There was no one more dependable, no one who loved their children or husband more than Huston, McLellan said.

“I just can’t imagine her leaving those two boys,” she said.

Bill Turner, Huston’s father, said he is encouraged by the outpouring of support from friends and family. He said more than a thousand flyers have been printed and they’re on the verge of running out.

He, too, is convinced something out of the ordinary has happened.  “Her boys are her world, she would not leave them unattended,” he said.

Dundee mom missing for days, family searching for clues

by Sara Roth, KGW.com Staff

Updated yesterday at 8:14 PM

DUNDEE, Ore. – A 38-year-old stay-at-home mom from Dundee went missing Thursday afternoon, leaving no clues as to where she might be, and her family is hoping the public can help locate her.

"We miss her very much," said husband Kallen Huston.  "My two boys really, really need her."

Jennifer Huston was last seen at a Circle K gas station in Newberg around 6 p.m. Since then, she hasn’t contacted her family and no credit card activity was recorded, police said.

Her father, Bill Turner, says there were no conflicts at home, and Huston would “never leave her boys. She is an amazing mom and woman.”

Huston, who has two sons, age 3 and 6, is a "doting mother," according to her sister-in-law Liberty Knerr.

"She is one of the strongest, most loving mothers you'll ever meet," Knerr said.

Huston's cell phone has been off since Thursday night, and detectives have tried to ping her phone hourly with no response.

The family has been driving roads and checking parks and hotels Huston might be at with no luck, Knerr said.

I hope they find here soon. Dundee isn't very big. Last census has it's population at about 3,100 people. It's about 30 minutes SW of Portland. There is only one big highway the 118 in & out of town. It's a rural area. She could be any where. Prayers for her, her family and loved ones. an angelic monkey

Family of missing Dundee mom mounts massive social media campaign
By KATU.com Staff Published: Jul 27, 2014 at 8:40 AM PDT

Huston left her husband and two boys on Thursday evening to run errands but never returned, says her father, Bill Turner.

Newberg-Dundee Police confirmed they were gathering details about Huston's whereabouts although it is not aware of any suspicious circumstances or foul play, spokesman Jeff Kosmicki told KATU on Saturday morning.

Police said there is no evidence of any crime, nor any reason to believe Huston disappeared under suspicious circumstances.

Even so, family members insist Huston would never leave on her own accord and are asking the public to help find her.

The family reviewed cell phone and bank records and said they found no activity beyond a small purchase at the gas station Thursday where she was running errands.

Huston's father said he also gained access to her email and Facebook accounts but was not able to find anything suspicious in the days leading up to her disappearance.

Huston's iPhone was turned off and not able to be tracked, said Turner, who said he tried using the locator feature included in the software but was not successful.

Newberg-Dundee Police were not responding to multiple calls for updates on Saturday.

Thanks for the information Green Eyes!

I hope she's safe and they find her soon, sad to think how upsetting this must be for those precious little boys.

"It's overwhelming. I truly appreciate what you are doing. Obviously I am an emotional wreck right now, but it warms my heart to see so many people trying," Kallen Huston Said.

While friends continue the search, Kallen is trying to keep things as normal as possible for his two young sons.

"Right now mommy is on vacation," Kallen said.

Kallen says his wife has no history of medical or mental health issues that could explain her disappearance.

He says aside from the normal pressures of raising two young boys everything was fine at home, and just can't imagine his wife leaving her family voluntarily.

"I can honestly and truly tell you even if there was something I wasn't aware about where there was something she wasn't happy with about me, with our relationship, she would never leave our boys. She's been gone three days now. There's no way she would leave," Kallen said.

Jennifer Huston disappearance: Dundee man asks public to keep an eye out for his wife (video)

DUNDEE -- The husband of the missing Dundee woman walked two blocks from his house Monday morning to give a statement in a neighborhood park where his two boys often play.

Kallen Huston was up early with two missions:  One was to spread the word to help locate his wife, Jennifer, who has been missing since she was last scene getting gas at a Newberg gas station on Thursday evening.

Kallen also was trying to protect his two boys, ages 2 and 6, from the grim news that their mother was missing.

He has told them that she "is on a vacation."

At about 11 a.m., Huston and his sister, Liberty Knerr, walked down the street to the Falcon Crest Park where Kallen made a statement to reporters.

He said Dundee and Newberg police departments are coordinating the search for his wife, who is 38.

The past four days have been "overwhelming in good and bad ways," said Kallen Huston.

The good, he said, has been the tremedo0us support from friends, area residents and strangers who are committed to help find Jennifer.  The bad has been the "terror" of not knowing what happened.

Huston said law enforcement authorities will be holding a briefing on the investigation at 4 p.m. Monday at the Newberg Police Department.  His short statement finished, Huston said it was time to "go back to my two boys."

He walked a up a hill to his home with a close friend named Eric Moss and Moss wrapped an arm around Huston's shoulder, pulling him close as they made their way back to the Huston home.

Detectives examine video along Oregon highway for any sign of missing mother

Investigators are poring over security footage from businesses along a Portland, Ore., highway Monday for any clues into the disappearance of 38-year-old Jennifer Huston, who was last seen four days ago buying gas, her father, Bill Turner, told FoxNews.com.

Turner said authorities have seized video from several businesses near the Circle K gas station in Newburg, where his daughter filled up her 15-year-old SUV on Thursday.

"A number of businesses up and down the highway have video that captures what happens on the road," Turner said. "They're looking for directional information."
