Sometimes, in some circumstances, legitimate news organizations do pay for interviews. It depends on what type of show it is. The BBC paid Monics Lewinsky for an interview about her relationship with Bill Clinton.

That's the BBC. Britain also charges about $150 for a household's TV license. You can't just buy a TV and watch it. They have TV police. You have to pay to watch.

US networks DON'T PAY FOR INTERVIEWS. Tabloids like maybe current affair might, but the big four don't pay for interviews.

You can look it up and find out.  Star Report was paid for.

were you aware that a current affair is i do believe, produced by nbc? Smile

...and he had, after all, just arrived from a long transatlantic flight.  I've made the route from Amstrdam to Atlanta and it takes at least 36 hours to remember who I am, drinks or none.

I thought it was established that Anita was the one in Holland, not Paul.

DW, you are probably right.  I am always behind on these posts.  But a few pages back there was a comment of him returning from the trip and just x hours later all this breaks loose.  My bad for skipping pages.  Embarassed

FYI...in an interview....That Aruba editor (the american one)...Aruba live???  not sure..anyways...she said that the cameras at the HI drive entrance do not work...while she was saying this, they interrupted her...

Also, I am confused about them meeting (Joran and Natalee) in the Casino...wasn't it said that they met THAT NIGHT by the friends tonight??  I thought natalee's mom said that she saw video from the casino and that they had met a couple days before...I might be confused...who knows

Who had said that they had met a couple days before in the casino?

You think? How can you be at the SBF and at a black jack table at the same time, same night? The two girls left C&C at 12. Who did NH go to C&C with? Joran was picked up by his dad at 11 then snuck out. I'd like to know alot more about that 'scuffle" at the Aruban bar after hearing the 2 friends.

Did anybody else catch Dan Riehl's critique of Greta's blog about the coverage from Aruba?

Damn! Pretty harsh interpretation, but an interpretation that fits my instincts about a high-profile MSM figure.

Apparently, he is not impressed at all about her show tonight.

http://www.riehlworldview.com/

I was rather shocked to see this on Dan's site.  Greta's blog is meant to be folksy and intimate. She writes from airplanes, airports, etc. I like it.  Dan also shares his emotions, and tells us in detail his challenges in covering this case on his blog.

I think he was off base on this one.

I know that there was rumor that cameras were not working that night at the HI, but Natalee's mom has said there were cameras, they did work, and she watched the videos.  She has said in interviews that she does not know when Nat met Joran and she doesn't care.  She saiid they are only trying to follow the story from when she left the bar and went missing.  Dash said on here and in her TV appearances that she had seen Joran around their casino but did not think that Nat had been "hanging around" with him until that night at C&C.

Thanks for posting the emails Wonderwoman.

It sound like they may be from Deepak. And if they are, then it, unfortunately, convinces me even more that he's hiding something.

As is most things discussed here, including the student's varying accounts of what happened that night.  It's speculation and nothing more.  Having any additional information won't make WW content any less or more reliable.  If you wish to go track it down yourself, get a copy on any number of newsgroups.  I'm sure you know how to use one.

If we had ip addresses that pointed to a isp on Aruba it would not be speculation it would be fact but alas WonderWoman cannot provide that information so her letter is in the category of the Dario reporter who said he had people following a car in Venezuala, bullshit!

All I know is since day one, I watched people pick apart (literally parts) Jorans life etc. Who are we to judge him and his parents. We have enough problems in our country with our own children.

People sat around labeling him because of his clothes, pictures, that unbelievable story that he was a drug pusher or pimp because he was holding money up with a goofy smile (it was only 70 bucks by the way).

I can speak ont he differences of our culture and other counties as well as some other Dtuch posters here. We are different."

Second all this.  After really studying picture after picture of him, his family, mostly from his brothers Valentijn's site,  Joran  never seemed like a cold-blooded killer, or a particularly evil teen.  Yeah, yeah, I know Ted Bundy looked normal too.  My instinct still tells me he did not kill Natalie Holloway.

Yes, I know, I lived in Britain for four years. But I stand by my statement that sometimes regular networks will pay for interviews. You won't see those interviews on the regular news shows, but on the "magazine" shows.

You can choose to believe that.  What exactly would you do with an IP?  Not a damn thing. If it bothers you that much, I have told you where you can go find it.

She has posted the whole letter what more do you want her to do, without her getting in trouble.

I'm not trying to scare WW, but she is probably already in trouble for posting this letter. It could be considered  evidence in a missing person investigation and withholding its original source could be considered tampering. The content of this letter is not as important as the date on which it was sent (before arrests were made).

This is a simple enough follow-through - we can just call NBC's business offices and check if they offered Joran or the Kalpoe's $$ for an exclusive interview.

OK, amigos..I must go to bed
I also wanna jump off topic for i short sec, and ask a favor..
I am sure some of you will mock at this, tell me to start my own page, that i shouldnt be taking up space in the "rumors " section, etc..
but, as we all know, some of us have made friends on this site...like it or not..
However, for those of you that do care, i found a "lump" and am having tests done tomorrow to decipher just exactly what that is...if you would be so inclined, when you pray for Nat tonight, please say a short one for me....

Night monkeys...lets hope tomorrow brings Natalee home....just like Brennan....

Have no fear for WW her company on this forum and across the web is wide at this point. The origin of the first leak would be difficult past the first or second forward.

Nancy-

Maybe you're right. I should have mentioned that, since I obviously don't know Greta, his interpretation fits my general notion of what MSM types are like, not any one person.

I feel it's safe to say that, if he had said this about Whorealdo, it would be accurate.
