Key Republicans in the House and Senate charged that President Barack Obama’s immigration plan ignores the plight of millions of out-of-work or underemployed Americans, and vowed to fight the White House by protecting the rights of the U.S. citizens who voted them into office.

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) said Obama’s plan would create a workforce of 5 million illegal immigrants that would compete with Americans for jobs and lower wages across the country. Sessions cast Obama’s plan as one that goes against the direct interest of U.S. citizens.

“The President is providing an estimated 5 million illegal immigrants with social security numbers, photo IDs and work permits — allowing them to now take jobs directly from struggling Americans during a time of record immigration, low wages, and high joblessness,” he said.

“It is time to stand strong for the American people,” he said. “It is time to champion the interests of those constantly neglected on the question of immigration: the men and women and children we represent — the citizens of this country to whom we owe our ultimate allegiance.”

I think 'Amnesty' is all about stealing more money. How many of those new voters will care about cleaning up the Federal Reserve when all they see is the next welfare check? Another opportunity to lift money from the pockets of others?

If they're paying taxes are they going to pay back welfare benefits they've received for decades too? Somehow, I don't think so.

I think its all about stealing more money from IRAs/401ks/etc., and the 'wealth' from hard working every day people. I don't think the uber wealthy see any difference between the welfare recipient and the retire with a small nest egg for retirement.

Why should anyone work when they can collect some form of welfare? I saw that story on the news the other day. 'I don't have to work I get a government check.'

It's not just a work force, it's an invasion. Is it about deporting X number of millions or turning the tide of invading people, cheered on by their government? China has border security and enforces it's immigration laws. Lots of countries have borders that work - Saudia Arabia, South Korea, and they don't have massive entitlement programs that are going broke.
