21 Year Old West Chester University Student Shane Montgomery Missing Since 11/27/14 in Manayunk, PA

21 year old Shane Montgomery, a senior at West Chester University who was home for the Thanksgiving holiday was last seen by friends early Thursday morning at about 1:45 am, November 27, 2014, at a crowded bar in the Manayunk neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA.  According to police, Shane Montgomery was asked to leave Kildare’s Irish Pub by a bar bouncer after Shane accidentally tripped into a DJ booth.  The bouncer and Montgomery’s cousins had told investigators he was “not falling-down drunk.” Further, the bouncer stated that he spoke to the missing West Chester University senior who apologized and left. Kildaire’s Irish Pub is located on the 4400 block of Main Street.

    weighing around 135 pounds
    Celtic cross tattooed on his back.
    He was last seen wearing a grey shirt.

Reward up to $15,000 in case of missing West Chester University student

The reward for a West Chester University student who went missing during the early hours of Thanksgiving has now increased to $15,000.

This comes as the FBI announced that Philadelphia Police asked then to join in the search for 21-year-old Shane Mongtomery.

Shane disappeared around 1:45 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning after he left Kildaire's Irish Pub on the 4400 block of Main Street.

Per the bouncer Shane wasn't drunk, he just tripped.  Well, he wasn't 'falling down' drunk anyway.  Honestly sounds like a cover up to me.  Either the bouncer removed a guy from the bar for no reason or he made an inebriated young man go out into the streets of Philadelphia alone.

Bouncer's and drinking establishments have a responsibility to ensure any patron's they remove have an escort, are sober and have a car, or are put into a taxi.

Missing College Student Shane Montgomery’s Body Found in Schuylkill River … Parents: “Today we have done what we promised. We found and brought Shane home.”

According to the family of Shane Montgomery, the body of a missing college student was found today in the Schuylkill River.  The police say a call came in around noon that a body was found behind the Brewery Pub at Main Street and Shurs Lane. The body was discovered by the Garden State Underwater Recovery Unit and transported to the medical examiner’s office.  Although the body is that of a white male and the family is saying that the body is that of Shane, police have not officially confirmed that. The 21 year old West Chester University student Shane Montgomery went missing on 11/27/14 in Manayunk, PA after  a night out with friends at a bar.

It is really sad, especially since it could happen to just about anyone's son or brother etc.  There have been a number of cases of young men leaving bars/restaurants or being escorted out and found dead later in or near bodies of water.
