You guys are blaming Aruba for their laws on not letting the dogs arrive there before proper proceedure is done? Heck, this is done in EVERY single country. And it's just the way it is.

Hawaii has a 6 month quarantine even coming from the mainland US.

But Aruba doesn't.

Oh, come on, get off my case. I know because I have taken my poodle there three times, it was easy, and I know others who have taken theirs. The only restriction are on the airplanes. I am just frustrated because I see know harm in this rescue team going to Aruba, it will cost Aruba nothing, and who knows, could help get some closure on this case. It just looks like another roadblock.

A couple of pages ago someone was talking about sharks around Aruba and I believe everyone said there are sharks around the island.  Now to my part that I cannot remember - wasn't it somewhere that it was said that Natalee wanted to go look at sharks?  Didn't one of the boys say that?  Isn't that a bit odd?

It would be ignorant to think there are no sharks around Aruba, but there really are not many at all.  I know people who have scuba'd and snorkled there for years and have seen at most only a few sharks between them.  There is a rumor going around about a shark feeding area on the north coast to keep them away from the tourists.  That is absolutely not true.  I remember seeing one post about her wanting to see sharks, but the truth is, living on the island, Joren would have very well known that he couldn't take her to the beach to see them.  Particularly at night.

Just want to clear the record on the shark theory...

nancy, actually as far as computer forensics, I do know quite a little bit about what I speak as well.  While you may cover a story and provide an email of sorts with headers to the FBI, literally that isn't the end of it, especially if the email has been forwarded. You're discounting that either the FBI, the Dutch or the Aruban authorities haven't already commandeered the original from the original sender's computer or other accounts, if this is a true scenario.  I'd submit there is a more than 50% chance they already have it, if it's real.   Considering that we have no idea (there's no "facts" just speculation) about what the authorities (I could give a crap about the media, that's just self serving glad-handing to me) have or haven't looked at, all of it is speculation.

O.K. live in your delusions.  I'm just not willing to go along for the ride.

That was rather condescending and insulting. I am not sure you would like people to say what they think about your post in that fashion.

Tia:  Quote[It is for this reason that I don't think there is much to be gained from endlessly grilling the kids who were on the trip. As I said last night, they were not expecting to be called upon to provide an accurate minute by minute accounting of their friend Natalee's every movement on the last night of their big trip, the grande finale bash. I would not be surprised if none of them actually went to their rooms and went to sleep that night.

Short of Natalee telling one of them on May 30th, hey no way am I going to that sucky U of Alabama, no sir! I'm dying my hair red and starting a new life in Lagos, the only relevant thing that they can tell us is that she is missing and that (in the case of those who did) that they saw her with Joran, the Kalpoe brothers, or all 3 some time prior to the time she was supposed to be present for the trip to the airport.

This leaves us with for all practical purposes, no actual facts other than that Natalee is missing and the US government is involved.

The congressman's remarks were very intriguing, and if it would not jeopardize the successful return of Natalee to her family, this might be a good time for him to offer some elaboration.

It is my impression that the people of Aruba have bent over backwards to be culturally sensitive, but I also think, as a public relations gesture, that the Aruba Polis should hold a American-style joint press conference with the FBI, meaning a dozen or so officials with impressive-sounding titles, and each one should make a statement to the effect that they are doing everything possible to find Natalee and thank the various other agencies, introduce the next guy, who makes a similar statement, thanks some other people, thanks the next guy, and so on down the line, FBI included. Then they should announce that they will take questions from the media and to 99% of the questions acknowledge that everyone is eager to learn all they can, and thank the public for their understanding that they cannot comment on that particular issue at this time.

This is what Americans are used to, I mean no disrespect, but I think that such an event would go a long way toward calming some of the upset feelings on the part of many. There is an old saying, that it is not so much what you say as how you say it, and Americans have refined the art of saying " the sky does indeed appear to be blue to some very knowledgeable people, but I cannot comment further on these reports at this time" into an art form.[/quote]

I'm with you.

Delusions for some are an open mind for others.  You can limit your view all you'd like, but I don't plan to do that.

While we're at it, what stories have you worked on that we'd recognize?  I'd like to know someone who has, BTW.  From a forensics perspective, I've only ever seen the insides of the digital trail and I'm curious what you've worked on that I could read. Care to share?

Hi I have been lurking for a long time now and never posted ... but I just want to mention the delay "may" be due to airline restrictions.  I have three dogs and I have flown a few times, commercial airlines have very strict rules with regard to wether they will alow the dogs to fly I believe if it is above 85 degrees the will not let the dogs fly. So if the rescue team was not able to get a charter plane this could account for the hold up

"I think I walked away with the confirmation that we still have some individuals that we need to pursue," she said. (BH)

My Speculation...

1. Any or all the security guards that night present at the Soul Beach Festival.
2. Any or all the security guards @ the Holliday Inn.
3. Previous mentioned Beach bum or choller who pointed to seeing Natalee walking away with Black security guards.
4. The MB boys during the altercation at CnC.
5. Any or all guys that she may have been in contact with during the Soul Beach Festival, Snorkeling trip that day, and if in Casino review all the tapes and any male local or non MB student that may have had a conversation with Nat.

Are you saying we should stop looking at the four current suspects?

Jp,

What infomation do you have to verify that the feeding area on the north coast is untrue?  I have heard the exact opposite.  And isn't it true the sharks feed during the night and early morning?  If anything it would be easier for him to take her to see them at night.. I think?

Yes, I suppose it was. I meant it to be. I don't mind anyone believing whatever they want.  However, when the forum starts referring to this email as fact and also continues to push it's validity, beyond reason...it's irritating.

There were MANY very bright and learned posters last night who gave very intelligent comments on this email.  I'm glad it's been sent to authorities, they will handle it.

But, until I hear otherwise I refuse to get involved in discussing an email that has NO verifiable source.  I suggest a new thread be started for those interested in following this email theory.  I think it's wrong to keep it here.

cali/aboslut - add the "facts" re: the HI camera/s.

I still find it odd that Arubaam reported that 2 guards in black were seen on the footage outside the front of the hotel and that coincedentally matches the original story given by JVDS/K's....to my recollection the HI security did not dress in black and since MIckey John and the other guy were no longer employed next door at the Allegro, were there new guards there?

Also would love to know more of MJ and co-workers alibis..anyone have link to info on that?
