32 year old Kimberly Rouland has been missing since February 9, 2015 in Arcadia, New York.  Rouland is described as approximately 5-foot-4, about 140 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes. According to authorities, Kimberly Rouland was last seen walking from the trailer park where she lived in the Wayne County town of Arcadia, 25 mile southeast of Rochester. The police say that the mother of three disappeared under suspicious conditions. Her husband, 38 year old Thomas Rouland, has provided “no assistance” to the police after reporting her missing. That is never a good sign.

If anyone has any information regarding Kimberly Rouland, please contact either state police in Lyons at 315-946-3040, state police in Canandaigua at 585-398-4100 or the Wayne County 911 Center at 315-946-9711.

Police continue search for missing Arcadia woman

The search continues for the Arcadia woman reportedly last seen by her estranged husband on Feb. 9.

On Tuesday morning, March 4 approximately 80 law enforcement personnel scoured the land around the missing 32-year-old Kimberly Rouland's home at the Forest County Trailer Park and the surrounding area.

Members of the New York State Police, the Newark Police Department and the Department of Environmental Conservation, as well as the Cayuga County Highland Search and Rescue team, participated in the search, which included the use of K-9 units and a helicopter to search from overhead.

"They are out this morning looking for clues, looking for something that can bring this case to a successful conclusion," said Major Craig Hanesworth, of the New York State Police, during a press conference at the Fairville Fire Station on Tuesday morning.

Capt. Rick Allen, of the New York State Police, said that the department has received "information" that lead to the heavy search detail on Tuesday.

Search effort intensifies: Police say husband not talking to investigators
March 4, 2015

Rouland, 32, was last seen by her husband leaving their mobile home about 6:30 p.m. Feb. 9. He told state police she was walking toward Fairville-Maple Ridge Road to take care of some personal business, but left her purse behind.
State police spent several hours searching the area around the trailer park shortly after she was reported missing. They have searched the area since.
Capt. Rick Allen, who heads up Troop E’s Bureau of Criminal Investigations, said Tuesday’s efforts represented the first large-scale effort.
“We have information leading us to search these areas at this time,” said Allen, who declined to be more specific. “The weather hasn’t really allowed us to search some of these areas. There is close to three feet of snow in some areas, we had sub-zero temperatures, and it was snowing almost every day. We figured this was a day to give it a shot, since it is supposed to be in the 30s today and tomorrow.”
While most of those searching Tuesday were state police and Department of Environmental Conservation officers, some community members were assisting. They include members of the Fairville Fire Department.
Allen said police and volunteers would be doing shoulder-to-shoulder line searches of the area around Rouland’s home, as well as nearby wooded areas. A state police helicopter is being used in the search, as are all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles and K-9 units including cadaver detection dogs.
Cayuga County Search and Rescue is helping too, while the Newark Police Department is looking at locations in the village.
Allen said Rouland’s husband, Thomas, stopped talking to state police shortly after their investigation began and has hired an attorney. Thomas and Kimberly Rouland, who were separated but still living together, have three children who are in foster care.
“At this point, we couldn’t call him a suspect,” Allen said of Thomas Rouland. “He stopped talking to us and has been no help in this investigation whatsoever.”
“He is not a suspect, but he could be much more cooperative,” Hanesworth added.

Death of Arcadia resident Kimberly Rouland ruled a homicide
Kimberly Rouland was found dead last year after a multi-week search

Posted Jan. 7, 2016 at 6:56 PM

The circumstances of how 32-year-old Kimberly Rouland's body was found point to homicide, according to the findings of the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office.
The elusive question prosecutors must answer now is whether there is enough evidence to prove who murdered the Arcadia mother of three.
On Thursday, Wayne County District Attorney Rick Healy confirmed the medical examiner's homicide findings — a conclusion reached based on Kimberly Rouland's cause of death not being accidental or due to suicide.
"You have an otherwise healthy woman who ends up in a snowbank, nude, and who probably froze to death, and there was no reason why that would happen accidentally or by suicide," the prosecutor said. "So the theory is somebody caused her to be there."
Beyond that, the peculiar case is marked by mystery.
Kimberly Rouland was not poisoned or strangled, wasn't shot or stabbed, and showed no signs of blunt-force trauma, according to Healy.
"She may have been rendered unconscious somehow — likely was rendered unconscious before she got there — but there is no evidence of that discovered by the medical examiner on her body or by toxicology," Healy said.

Ranney added that Kimberly Rouland had a boyfriend at the time she was living with her estranged husband — this was somebody who she was inclined to believe was responsible for her stepsister's death.
However, Ranney's opinions of Thomas Rouland have changed based on recent allegations against him.
On Jan. 6, the 39-year-old was accused of raping a 33-year-old girlfriend who resided with him, according to State Police in Lyons.
The new charges came as a complete shock for Ranney.
"We were totally blown away by this," Ranney said, referencing Cole's thoughts as well as hers.
"Obviously there is a whole side of him that we did not see," she added. "If he was capable of that with her — who knows? I'm not going to say it's not a possibility anymore."
Correia noted that the latest charges have no bearing on the Kimberly Rouland investigation.
"While that process continues, Tom is presumed actually innocent and people must refrain from jumping to conclusions just because they happen to recognize his name from earlier press reports," the attorney stated.
In the meantime, Healy is in the process of determining if there is enough evidence in the Kimberly Rouland murder case to present it to a grand jury. He acknowledged the possibility of the case ending with nobody being prosecuted due to the cloud of mystery surrounding it.
He refused to name any other possible persons of interest in the case.
As for Ranney, she just wants to see justice done.
"I want whoever did it to pay the price," Ranney said. "I mean, what's done is done, and it can't be changed, but somebody took a young woman's life — a woman who had three kids. Somebody needs to pay the price for this."
