No offense intended to anyone, but you might wanna check the thread mentioned at the beginning of this one, as well as read back a few pages from the original posting of the email, prior to posting. You'll see that you aren't the first ones to question whether this email is valid or not. And there have been a lot of opinions already voiced,  it's already been pretty well picked over. As well as questions asked of WW prior to and after posting. It was posted here as new "info", why shoot the messenger?

No, it was posted here because the traffic on the board was thus that everyone kep asking about and couldn't find it.  We put it here so new folks could read it, rather than ask where it was every 3.259 seconds Smile

Sorry, didn't mean "here" specifically, as in this thread, meant the board in general. Just thought WW shouldn't be gettin roughed up for posting it.

Hello, I've been a lurker here for awhile, but this is my first post (copied same post from main thread). Thanks to all of you who have provided some pretty insightful posts.

Please forgive me if this has been addressed earlier, it's difficult to keep up with all the posts. Regarding the supposed letter from Deepak. Did anyone happen to catch Greta on Bill O'reilly's show yesterday. If I recall correctly, O'reilly asked Greta how the Tattoo DJ (Croes) was connected to the investigation. Greta speculated that Deepak may have sent an e-mail to Croes that may have discussed Deepak's version of events and that may have been the reason Croes was questioned in the first place. If I'm not mistaken, Greta even confirmed that Deepak's computer was seized by LE. I thought this was interesting since I seem to recall that someone from this forum forwarded the letter to Greta. I'm just wondering if Greta did in fact receive that forwarded letter and is now trying to determine if it's credible. If anyone else happen to see this on O'reilly last night, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks

I don't see a big problem with the writing style. I noticed a lot of these kids are multi-lingual and speak according to the style of the person they are addressing. I also noticed they like American movies and music. Also, the little jab about Natalee saying she spent her father's money wouldn't be something an American would use. This would come from a culture where daughters are not to bring shame or embarrassment on their fathers. Something I'm sure dads in America would love to see happen, but it just isn't the big taboo here it is in other cultures.

Good thinking Diva...certainly doesn't hurt to send it Greta's way and it seemed less than coincidental the way she brought it up.  Someone mentioned in the main board that the original recipient's name (the one that is omitted in the version that Wonder Woman posted, is Betty.  Do you or anyone else know if this is true...was it addressed to Betty?  How was this determined?

One problem I have with this email is that I never heard any of the students claim that they screamed to Natalee to get out of the car, and that the car stopped and then they were told by Natalee that she was not going to. I heard somewhere she said "Aruba WooWoo".

I would have thought by now a student would have come forward with this information.

I don't trust it as a valid email.   Rolling Eyes

Remember this was the "made up" story at the beginning. Even their mother mentioned this incident last night. That's why SOME of us believe the email is valid.

Didn't read through the whole thread, so not sure if this has come up (I did m y share of discouting the email when it was first posted to the 'Rumours of Breaking News' thread).

One more thing from Nadira's Ramirez's (D and S's mom) interview last night: She said that Deepak never took his car to work because he was very particular about his car and didn't want to get it scratched or anything like that. Satish went to pick him up when he finished his shift...she said 11 or 11.30 pm.

The 'email' says Deepak got off work at 10 pm.

Does not jive. Unless Nadira's lying too?
 Rolling Eyes

EDIT: just noticed that on the 'email' Deepak mentions going home and showering (i.e. he drove home) contrary to Nadira's statement that Satish went to pick him up.

Other reasons to doubt the email, there weren't enough typos or English errors, there was no slang or typical online abbreviations.  The word usage appeared to be that of someone about fifty or over, that is, compared to a typical American.  There was a word or two that I found a little quaint for a younger person to use.

Not to say it couldn't be real.  The original recipient could find the IP number and trace it, if he or she cared too.  Not difficult.

As for his giving a different time to come home, that could have varied or he could have lied to his mother about his real quitting time to have some time to go out.  That is not unheard of when the family is very strict and traditional and from a foreign culture.

Just some ideas.

check the transcript.  she said the place closes at 10 or 10:30 and he waits until all the clients are finishes and then closes.  quitting time varies.

We have no idea how many eyewitness accounts have been recorded. There were 130 some odd students on that trip. Hard to believe that NO ONE saw anything. I'm sure the Polis and FBI have interviewed many witnesses, including: fellow students on the trip, vacationers, C&C patrons and staff, Holiday Inn guests and staff, Mariott guests and staff, schoolmates of joran, co workers of Paul and Anita, etc. the list goes on and on.

We are all speculating on the could have/would have/might have happened theroy and none of it is worth anything without facts.

I just don't believe there are NO eyewitnesses. Can't be.  Think about it, her own classmates were poolside at 5 am., if she was on the beach at 2-3 am with Joran, they were probably not alone. I've been to Aruba..a lot of people (party people) come home around than time...hang out on balconies, walk the beach, hang out at the pool.  Someone must have seen something. I can't imagine all of this going down in such a busy place without someone seeing something and I think the police (polis) have all the evidence they need.

We are so perplexed by this case because we don't know the facts, yet the facts have probably been proven to the police/FBI since day one.

Closing time at the Cybercafe is 10:00 on Sunday and 11:00 on other days, according to the sign in the window which I saw on TV today.  I clearly saw the sign.

My friend worked in a cafe like that and it took a while to close and do the cash register after the door closed.   Interestingly enough, there were some wierd things happening around my friend's cafe and the workers and owners too, porn, prostitutes, violent computer games, cheating on exams, cheating on a wife, stealing of vehicles from the parking lot by strangers, people on the lam from the law wearing cheap blonde wigs.  This wasn't the cafe in the Aruba, but a totally unrelated one in the another location.  I'm just saying.  You think it would be a neutral sterile place but it wasn't.  It proved to be a male-dominated and negative world.  The foreign owner even had a list of "bad women" in the safe.  My name was number one.   Gonna write about it someday.

We mean "true" as in that Deepak actually wrote the email. Some believe that that's the original story (from the email) that all 3 boys made up to protect Juron....NOW the story has changed........Now it's "we dropped Juran and Natalie off at the beat...."

I have never heard that before...I remember hearing that she was yelling out the window, something like "Aruba - Whoo-Whoo", but not the other.  Can you link what the mother said, or did you hear it on one of the news channels?

I am not saying that it was not witnessed, but if it was, I would think that would be a pretty important piece of information, and I, never heard that statement before from anyone, but what was said in the email.  Not on these boards or TV or news websites.  Maybe I wasn't listening that day??

Don't you just know the media hasn't found a way to confirm those e-mails were legit, so they're begging off for now.

I think the DJ might have owed Paulus VDS a favor (maybe he'd been in legal trouble and Paulus helped him) and he helped with the cover-up.  Heck, maybe he took the body out into the deep water and disposed of it.

I know the email is fraudulent as Deepok theory for dropping her back at the HI was a lie. Remember, these guys had a plot to all tell the same story  Rolling Eyes , so this was to make people believe they are innocent. However, their truth will be expose soon thru the recent professionals that landed on Aruba soil. Mickey John also told the authorities as he was more less undercover before telling Deepok  who he was. Time will tell this terrible tale of events. I have faith in due time the whole scenario is starting to unfold. Wink

Also, anyone can say it was Deepok if they have any computer savy brains in how to set up internet accounts. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.
