The Boulder County Coroner's Office on Sunday identified the body retrieved beneath a cliff on Flagstaff Mountain as that of missing at-risk teen Lara Diesh.

Diesh, 17, was reported missing by her mother just before 1 p.m. Friday. She was last seen near New Vista High School, 700 20th St., on Thursday morning walking east on Baseline Road.

The body of a woman was discovered Friday evening near the 2500 block of Flagstaff Road, but could not be removed initially due to unsafe conditions. Rescue personnel from multiple agencies retrieved the body Saturday.

An official with the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said at the time that he did not suspect foul play.

"I do not believe that it is an climbing incident," Sgt. Jason Oehlkers said. "It's either an accident or a suicide, but I can't say for sure. There is trauma."

This is really sad.
