39 year old Misty Johnson has been missing since September 12, 2013 in Greenville, SC. Misty Johnson did not show up at home or work, the Carolina Ale House on Woodruff Road, since Thursday morning. She has not been heard or seen since. Misty Johnson was last seen leaving Juniors Sports Bar on Gladys Drive by herself.

Greenville Police announced Sunday that they had found a car belonging to a missing Greenville woman, but had no other updates immediately available.

Police said they picked up Misty Johnson's car after it was found in the city limits of Greenville on Saturday but would not say where the car was found.

Meanwhile, a flier depicting Misty Johnson and her vehicle was posted on the Missing Person Alert Organization's website Sunday morning, escalating the search for her to a national scale.

Coroner: Body found in Greenville Co. is Misty Johnson

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
The coroner has identified a body found in Greenville County as that of a woman last seen on Sept. 12.
Greenville County deputies said a decomposed body was found just after 3 p.m. at the end of Whispering Hollow Road near Interstate 85.
Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans said they had to use dental records to identify the body as Misty Johnson, 39, who has been missing for seven weeks.
Evans said her body was discovered by a man walking and looking for junk. He said the date and location of where she died remains unknown.
He said Johnson's cause and manner of death are still pending. Greenville police and Greenville County deputies are investigating the case.

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
An arrest has been made in the death of a Greenville woman who went missing in September, according to the Greenville Police Department.
Samuel Hawkins, 33, has been charged with the murder of 39-year-old Misty Johnson, police said.
Hawkins was taken into custody at Bailey's Sports Bar & Grille on Laurens Road, police said. Jonathan Bragg with the Greenville Police Department said Hawkins and Johnson were acquaintances and her car was found parked across from his home after her disappearance.
Johnson went missing on Sept. 12, and her body was found on Oct. 30 in Greenville County at the end of Whispering Hollow Road near Interstate 85.
Bragg said there appeared to be a struggle inside her apartment when they began investigating her disappearance, but they remained tight-lipped because they did not want any potential suspects to flee.
