Thanks TexasMom
I was going to post that info but I was too disgusted.Guess now we know how chris barton can be with lonna(with her giant ruben tattoo)and still think their marriage has a chance......stupid just stupid.

Did you watch the video and hear the things she said about him toward the end?

It does make me wonder why he would put $5,000 up to get her out, and where he got the money?!!!

Makes me wonder if he's involved too, and was afraid she'd talk once she detoxed in jail.

I've been reading all along that Ranson Barefoot claims he is Lonzie's real dad.  He has been out actually looking for him too from what I've read.  I don't know...what a mess!!!  Poor little Lonzie!!!

Kim Ruth Hall Ok. This is how it is. Lonna and Chris had a lot of marriage problems and Lonna had left Chris. In that time she started seeing Ransom and lived with him for a while. She got pregnant and then had went back to Chris. Sometime after that she told Ransom it is his baby but Chris doesn't know. She told Chris it was his and put Chris last name down. So Ransom believes in his heart that Lonzie is his but Lonna (the lier she is) wouldn't tell Chris the truth or get a DNA test. He looks so much like Ransoms baby pics and has the same eyes, nose, etc...But the way Lonna got around without DNA test it can't be confirmed but Lonzie looks just like Ransom. You can't hide genes!

Ruben Ebron's ex talks about Lonzie Barton case
Woman opens up about Lonzie, his mother, Ebron's actions

Published On: Sep 03 2015 05:56:12 PM EDT   Updated On: Sep 03 2015 09:31:10 PM EDT

ACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Ruben Ebron sits in jail in Duval County, charged with child neglect, lying to police and trying to escape from jail, the prime suspect in the disappearance of 21-month-old Lonzie Barton who police believe he murdered.

After police said Ebron tried to escape, he was denied contact with five of the seven witnesses involved in the disappearance of the young boy, except for Ebron’s parents, and then only with an attorney present.

One of the those witnesses is Ebron’s ex-girlfriend, and mother of three of his children, who has decided to come forward and talk about the investigation into the disappearance of Lonzie, the son of Ebron’s current girlfriend, Lonna Barton.

Ebrons’ ex, who asked not to be identified, said she doesn’t trust Lonna Barton, and said her kids miss their father as he sits in jail.

She said she’s breaking her silence because she wants to speak out about her family dynamic, which she said is very different from the unfair public perception of Ebron.

She has three children by Ebron and for the past seven years, they’ve all lived with Ebron’s mother and father, who she said provided a loving home.

Ebron’s ex said that her kids not only miss their father, they miss Lonzie, who they knew. As for Lonna Barton, she believes she’s somehow involved in the toddler's disappearance.

When asked by News4Jax’s Tarik Minor whether she thought if Lonna Barton knew more than she was telling police, her response was simple.

“I think she’s a liar,” she said.

She said that through everything, she believes Ebron is a good father and can't comprehend him ever hurting a child, even if the police alleged he had something to do with Lonzie's apparent death.

"I don't know. I mean I don't know what happened," she said.

Rubens ex also said she doesn’t believe Ebron is guilty of trying to escape from jail, even though police allege he had two makeshift handcuff keys.

”Until you show me the video or recording of this attempted escape, then I’ll believe it, but I’m not going to believe it just because the detectives said he did something, I think they are trying to pick every little thing to keep him in jail,” Ebron’s ex said.

Wanda Ebron, Ruben Ebron's mother, is also unhappy with the way she believes the case is being handled, especially her being denied access to her son without an attorney, and being listed as a witness who may have to testify.

"I can only testify that I am Ruben Ebron's mother. I've already testified to where I was when Lonzie disappeared. Police know where my cell phone 'pinged' from. Calling us to testify as witnesses is a waste of taxpayer's money," Wanda Ebron said.

Karma, I felt the same way about this one as you did the other one...disgusted!

Is this the same girlfriend that has accused him of rape in November (seven months pregnant, baby born in January?) and again just weeks before Lonzie went missing with their children and Lonna's children present?

The other video at the link where they ask her if he's a monster.  Well, she doesn't say No, he's not.

My opinion after reading and watching it all was that she should have just kept her mouth shut, she is just saying whatever his parents want her to say.  This girl needs some self esteem and guidance to lead herself and her kids out of this mess!  They are all enablers!

Quote
On July 1, 23 days before Ebron reported that 21-month-old Lonzie disappeared at the Ravenwood Apartments on South Old Kings Road, his ex-girlfriend called police.

She said she’d gone over to Ebron’s home after she left work, and while she was there, he raped her, she said in the police report. She said she had yelled and cried, but he told her to stop.

She said five children were in the home at the time, including her children and his current girlfriend’s children. Although no names were listed, Ebron was dating Lonzie Barton’s mother at this time, according to police and Times-Union research in the case.

The ex-girlfriend said in the police report that Ebron had also sexually battered her last November. After the July 1 incident, she said she gathered her children and went to a family member’s home.

Quote
The ex-girlfriend and one of her family members have received domestic-violence restraining orders against Ebron to keep him away. In a July request for a restraining order, the ex-girlfriend’s family member mentioned the rape allegations.

Ebron’s assistant public defenders in the child-neglect case declined to comment through a spokesman.

Exactly TexasMom!
I think they are all lying.I think there are arrest or charging documents somewhere that say this rape happened at ruben's parent's house, where she lives.Yeah, same woman who supposedly got raped.I read somewhere that the rape happened at ruben's parent's house with his 3 kids there and lonna's 2 kids.

Judging by their ages, this must have been when she was pregnant with the daughter.  I've also recently read fb comments about the little girl being delayed or slow for her age, I don't know if that's true or not.  Sad!

Ruben Ebron could face 50 years on felonies

State seeking 'enhanced penalties' against prime suspect in Lonzie Barton case

Sep 08 2015 05:20:20 PM EDT

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The prime suspect in the disappearance of 21-month-old Lonzie Barton could be facing at least 50 years in prison if convicted of five felony charges against him.

Ruben Ebron is charged with two counts of child neglect and three charges related to an escape police say he planned. All five are felonies. He is also charged with one count of lying to police, which is a misdemeanor.

The State Attorney's Office said it will seek "enhanced penalties" for Ebron on the five felony charges, citing his extensive arrest record, which makes him a habitual offender. He has prior convictions for grand theft in 2001 and 2011.

Police have said that they believe Ebron, who was the last person to see the toddler, murdered Lonzie, who was reported missing July 24.

Ebron, who is facing two child neglect charges connect to Lonzie's disappearance, is also charged with possession of a handcuff key, introducing contraband into the jail and conspiracy to escape. He remains in jail without bond.

Attorneys said that seeking a habitual felony classification is fairly common if the suspect's criminal record calls for it. But it is unusual for the State Attorney's Office to go after the increased penalties so early in a case.

Attorney Gene Nichols, who is not affiliated with the case, said the SAO is putting as much pressure as it can on Ebron and is putting all its cards on the table.

Protesters expected to show for Lonna Barton's arraignment

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

Lonna Lauramore Barton’s arraignment on charges of child neglect and lying to police is Wednesday at 9 a.m., and protesters plan to line the street leading up to the Duval County Courthouse.

Lonzie Barton’s mother was released from jail on Aug. 24, exactly one month after his 21-month-old son went missing. Her $50,000 bail was paid by Chris Barton, her estranged husband. Chris Barton, Lonzie Barton’s father, showed up to the courthouse for Lauramore’s first appearance and has defended Lauramore Barton on social media, calling her a good mom before her arrest.

Lonna Barton pleads not guilty as Lonzie search group protests

 Published On: Sep 09 2015 05:44:57 AM EDT   Updated  49 m

ACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The mother of a 21-month-old boy who disappeared six weeks ago pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning to charges of child neglect and giving false information to police.

Lonna Barton, 25, who is free on bond, said nothing during the brief appearance in court. About 15-20 demonstrators were outside the courthouse.

Lonzie Barton was reported missing July 24 while his mother was working a night shift and her boyfriend was watching the toddler and his 5-year-old sister. That boyfriend, William Ruben Ebron Jr., is also charged in connection with the case. He is being held without bond.

One of the protest organizers said she doesn’t believe that Lonna Barton is telling the truth about not knowing what happened to her son.

Lonna Barton's attorney said she is cooperating with authorities, that she has been in touch with her daughter and her top priority is getting her back.

"This is a very, very difficult time for Ms. Barton," defense attorney Jay Forrest said. "It's every mother's worst nightmare. We are doing everything we can to set the record straight and move forward in the case."

Forrest said the defense just received about 35 computer discs containing prosecution evidence in the case for the defense to review before Barton's next hearing, set for Oct. 6. Barton is not expected to appear at that hearing.

Lonzie Barton's mother pleads not guilty to child neglect, giving false information charges

By Larry Hannan Wed, Sep 9, 2015 @ 7:51 am | updated Wed, Sep 9, 2015 @ 5:20 pm

The mother of missing toddler Lonzie Barton pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning on charges of child neglect and giving false information in her son’s investigation.

Lonna Lauramore Barton, who is out on bond, was in court for a brief arraignment and did not speak during the proceeding. Her next pretrial hearing is scheduled for Oct. 6.

Under Florida law Lauramore Barton must go on trial by February 2016 unless she waives her right to speedy trial. Defense attorney Kevin Carlisle said Lauramore Barton was waiving her appearance for future pretrial hearings, which means Lauramore Barton may not be personally in court before her trial.

She faced about a dozen protesters when she walked in and out of the courthouse with many holding up posters that included pictures of her son. Several posters also called on her to tell the truth.

Police said the 25-year-old woman repeatedly lied to detectives and hindered their investigation. They said she was untruthful about her employment at the Southside show bar Wacko’s, where she lived and who she was dating.

“If nothing else let her see this poor baby’s face,” said Lillie Barnes, who held a photo of Lonzie. “Let this baby come to rest and have a proper burial.”

Sheriff: Chris Barton is not suspect in old drowning case

BAKER COUNTY, Fla. —

The Baker County Sheriff’s Office is reviewing a death investigation the father of Lonzie Barton was a part of a few years ago.

Sheriff Joey Dobson said investigators are reviewing the case of Timothy Stewart because a Baker County man is spreading rumors that Stewart’s drowning was murder and Chris Barton was a suspect.

He said Barton was camping on a river bank with Stewart the night he drowned.

Dobson said there was no evidence Stewart was murdered and although investigators interviewed Barton many times, he was not a suspect.

Ruben Ebron described as “mentally unstable”

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

Action News Jax uncovered new court documents detailing witness accounts of Ruben Ebron’s state of mind in the weeks before the disappearance of Lonzie Barton.

The 21 month-old boy was placed in Ebron's care by his mother Lonna Lauramore Barton on July 24. The boy hasn’t been seen since then.

According to deposition records, a woman interviewed by JSO said, referring to Ebron, “I do not feel safe. He is now bragging that he is untouchable to the police and the court system. He claims he knows the system and he can get away with anything that he does to my, my children.”

In voicemail messages, Ebron reportedly said  J.R. may “end up dead in a ditch.” Adding that injunctions have “never stopped me” in the past.

ruben's girlfriends sister chats in news interview

Exclusive: Sister of Ruben Ebron’s ex-girlfriend talks to Action News Jax

Her sister is the mother of Ebron’s three children.

She does not want Action News Jax to reveal her name or show her face because she fears for her family’s safety.

Ebron was the last person to see 21-month-old Lonzie Barton before he disappeared.

“Ruben grabs her hand and bites right here on her thumb and almost broke her thumb. Bit her so hard my sister started screaming,” said the aunt of Ebron’s children.

She said Ebron has also attacked her, cracking her ribs during one scuffle and busting her chin open during another.

“I have a scar. I had blood everywhere. I went into shock and my hands were full of blood, and I freaked out, and I walked up to my sister and I just spread it all over her face. I said, 'Do you see now? Do you see now how he is?'" she said.

That was the night her sister told her she was pregnant with Ebron's second child.

During her own pregnancy, she said Ebron threatened to punch her in the stomach and kill her unborn child.

She said she’s never seen Ebron be violent to children, but she's convinced he knows what happened to Lonzie Barton.

“The reason why he is in jail right now: He did this,” she said.

Sheriff thanks those who helped in Lonzie search

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

While police and prosecutors build the case against the mother of 21-month-old Lonzie Barton, who disappeared six week ago and was never found and her boyfriend who was watching the toddler at the time, Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams took time to thank hundreds of citizens agencies and businesses that helped with the search.

"Please know that our mission is not yet complete. Despite the result not being what we had prayed and hoped for, we are not done in our effort to bring closure to this family and hold accountable anyone responsible for this tragedy," Williams wrote. "You and your employees, and your collective families will never know how much we appreciate the way you stepped up and helped in the care, comfort, feeding and support of the 125 agencies involved in the search and recovery effort."

Ruben Ebron's jail calls to ex-girlfriend released

Published On: Sep 15 2015 11:02:37 AM EDT   Updated On: Sep 15 2015 05:13:09 PM EDT

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

In phone calls made from the Duval County jail in defiance of a judge's order, the suspect in the disappearance of Lonzie Barton begged the mother of his three children to come see him. Then, when she didn't visit, left a voicemail saying "I'm done with you. I don't care any more. ... If you wind up in a ditch, I swear to God, it's not from me."

While the boy's body has not been found, Ebron is considered by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office to be the prime suspect in the toddler's presumed death.

UNCUT: 2 jailhouse phone calls to ex-girlfriend (WARNING: Contains profanity)
FULL COVERAGE: Lonzie Barton disappearance special section

Just over 30 minutes of profanity-laced audio recordings were obtained from the State Attorney's Office late Tuesday morning.

"I just wish if you … if you're covering or if you knew something then you need to f------ say it because (of) our kids," she told Ebron. "No matter if you get time -- you're going to get time -- it shows the type of person that you are and it will show your kids that, 'My dad really does care for me.'"

Ebron's $100,000 bond was revoked partly because he made contact with his ex-girlfriend, who he had been told not to have contact with.

"I'm not supposed to be coming up to see you," she told Ebron in one of the calls. "My lawyer advised me not to come up there. So did the detective."

"They let Lonna come up here," Ebron replied.

Ebron told her that he deserved to see their children because he was a loving father.

"I don't know what you've gotten yourself into. Our kids are suffering because of this s---, Ruben," she told Ebron.  "It's like you never 'fess up to anything in your life."

The woman told Ebron he changed after he began dating Lonna Barton.

"You finally got a job, you started getting your life together, and then what? I don't know the person you became, Ruben, because this wasn't you. Yeah, we had our ups and downs, but I don't know who you are any more. ... and that's what hurts."

News4Jax has requested a full copy of all the evidence provided to the defense last week. The court filing lists that the "supplemental discovery exhibit" includes a quote attributed to Ebron saying he "could see why people kill their kids and run into a river with their car."

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It's love gone sour – not Lonzie Barton – that consumes just released jailhouse phone calls from Ruben Ebron, the prime suspect in the toddler's disappearance.

In recordings made available Tuesday morning as part of the prosecution's discovery released to defense attorneys, Ebron talks to the mother of his three children, urging her to violate a no-contact order and visit him in jail. She refuses, telling him she's been advised against it by detectives and her lawyer.
