Where was this posted? I didn't expect that at all.

Uhhhhhh....this is not confirmed.  Some last night were questioning the validity of the news report.

Nancy, are you really a journalist or is that another nancy drew, the one who had his picture up?  what was cited was the text of an early ap dispatch from aruba.  how can you say it was not confirmed?  it was up on ap in black and white.  whether it is true or not is another question but ap ran it and ap adheres to the highest journalistic standards.  do you dispute that?

When I say confirmed, I mean it's been released officially.  Are you saying this is from the Associated Press?  Is it a press release as stated above?  The AP does not release "press releases" as news statements.  And, I highly doubt they reported this.  At this point we don't know if anyone had sex with Natalee, much less all three boys.

I sure don't believe everything I read in a news report, do you?

I believe JVDS fits the profile of a narcissist. Here is the profile, again. You make your own call. If you are not interested, then just skip this post. But I believe it might make a lot his his actions, and the actions of his family, more understandable.

A narcissist is usually the life of the party. He/she makes superficial friendships easily, and is skillful at manipulating other people to get what he/she wants. He/she lives behind a mask, and can be charming and even charismatic, when he/she chooses to be. He/she is vain and extremely careful about personal grooming and cleanliness. Narcissists are normally above average in intelligence. They tend to be outstanding students, and excel in many areas, such as athletics and business. The narcissist bends the rules. He/she knows the difference between right and wrong, but does not care, as long as he/she is not caught. He/she is skillful at not getting caught. He/she can be quite ruthless, but only when no one is looking. He/she sees other people almost as inanimate objects, to be manipulated. Narcissists are upwardly mobile, as a group, and seldom end up in therapy. It is usually the co-worker, spouse, or other family member who ends up in therapy. One of the reasons that the narcissist seldom ends up in therapy is because he/she is skillful at manipulating others, skillful at getting his/her own way, and because he/she not feel remorse for the pain inflicted on others. They don't go crazy. They drive other people crazy.

The narcissist normally comes from a narcissistic family. One telltale sign of a narcissistic family is one that is very permissive, and which feels that their son/daughter can do no wrong. Another telltale sign of a narcissistic family is a mother who collects a dossier on possible mates for her son/daughter, and finds that none of them are good enough.

Of course, the extreme form of narcissism is the sociopath. Psychologists used to call them psychopaths, but they now call them sociopaths, because there is no psychosis involved. These people are not “crazy,” in the clinical sense. They do not suffer delusions, and they are in complete control of their faculties. They are entirely "normal," except that they feel no remorse for the pain inflicted upon others.

By the way, not all sociopaths are violent, either.

fyi  if the only basis of the armchair remote narcissism psychonalisis is the hair plug let it be known this question was collectively parsed overnight by monkey brain power including in depth photo analysis and it was the general consensus that there are no hair plugs.  hair plug poster invoked father's baldness as further proof that the kid inherited baldness from dad but this trait is inherited through the female so that did not wash.  Appearance was attributed to jelled spiked hair combed forward.   in one picture of Joran and his friends they all had the same hairdo and it is unlikely that they are all premature implantees.

What about the rest of the profile? Sounds to me like it fits Joran to a tee.
And that could explain why his friends all say, Hey, he's a great guy. He couldn't do something like this. They said the same thing about Ted Bundy, as I recall.

I MYSELF POSITED JORAN'S SOCIOPATHIC CONDITION LAST NIGHT AFTER YOUR BEDTIME (AND MINE) IN THE CONTEXT OF JUG'S DESCRIPTION OF THEIR ENCOUNTER ON TUESDAY   AM,  JUG SAYS JOREN KEPT TRYING TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED WHILE HIS FATHER AND THE SURINAMER PRESENT (SATISH/DEEPAK?, THEY ALL LOOK ALIKE) WERE BEGGING HIM TO NOT SAY ANYMORE BECAUSE HE WAS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO SPEAK (REMEMBER JUG SAID THE COPS WERE MOSTLY IN CHARGE THOUGH VERY OUTNUMBERED BY ALABAMAN AMATEUR SLEUTHS "WE BASICALLY INTERROGATED HIM").   SO THIS MIGHT BE A SIGN OF SOCIOPATHIC CONDITION I.E. THINKING ONE CAN TALK ONE'S WAY OUT OF ANYTHING.   DO WE HAVE A PSYCOLOGICAL PROFILE FOR NATALEE THAT ALLOWS US TO DISCOUNT THE POSSIBILITY SHE RAN AWAY?   BOTTOM LINE, JORAN PROBABLY LIED ABOUT HI DROP OFF, BUT DOES THAT MAKE HIM A KILLER?   HE IS IN OVER HIS POSSIBLY SOCIOPATHIC HEAD.   AND SINCE HE IS A SOCIOPATH.  HE CAN'T HELP IT.  INSANITY DEFENCE ANYONE?

       FAMILY history of lunacy/suicides????

professor keep going.  there are lots of pieces on the clue board and this one who you have psychonalyzed.  what is your academic background?   mine is ma in googling.

Has this article from yesterday's B'ham News been posted here. Do you guys see anything new here such as the info on the Internet cafe?

Also the information about the NH Trust Fund is given at the bottom in case anyone wants to contribute.

The link is here. See article from June 22
http://www.al.com/birminghamnews/missing/

4th suspect tied to Internet cafe
Wednesday, June 22, 2005
HANNAH WOLFSON
News staff writer
A suspect in the case of a missing Mountain Brook teen was a regular customer at an Internet cafe where another jailed suspect works, according to the manager there.

Steve Croes, 26, is the latest suspect to be questioned by Aruban police, who are searching for answers to the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, 18. Authorities have refused to say what connects Croes, a party boat disc jockey, to three others being held in the case.

Croes was a frequent visitor to Cyberzone Internet Cafe, where suspect Deepak Kalpoe is an employee, said Kalpoe's boss, Angelina Reppas.

Kalpoe, 21, his brother, Satish Kalpoe, 18, and their friend, Joran van der Sloot, 17, are also suspects in the May 30 disappearance. Police took computer equipment from the Kalpoe home, along with a car Holloway reportedly rode in with the three the day she disappeared. She was in Aruba on a class trip with 123 other recent Mountain Brook High School graduates.

Also on Tuesday, a volunteer Texas rescue group said it will take dogs and sonar equipment to Aruba to help with the search.

Dickinson-based Texas EquuSearch was expected to arrive today with 17 volunteers, including three search-and-rescue divers, said volunteer diver Joe Huston in a telephone interview from Texas.

In Mountain Brook, friends held a cookout Tuesday at Mountain Brook Community Church to raise money for the search effort.

Trey Merrill and Beau Barron, who were on the Aruba trip, said they decided to host the fund-raiser after Barron's uncle donated a large grill and food. They took in donations while students wearing yellow ribbons flagged down drivers at U.S. 280 and Dolly Ridge Road.

The two teens said they had encountered van der Sloot while playing cards at their hotel casino. Police have said van der Sloot met Holloway there at least two days before she disappeared. But Merrill, Barron and other students said they didn't know anything about Croes.

Marcia Twitty, Holloway's aunt, said the students, who have said little to the media, have been cooperating with police.

Twitty said money from the cookout will go to a trust fund set up at AmSouth Bank to support Holloway's mother, Beth Twitty, who has been in Aruba for three weeks and has pledged to stay until her daughter is found.

Contributions may be made at any AmSouth Bank or by mail to Natalee Holloway Trust, AmSouth Bank, P.O. Box 11426, Birmingham, AL 35202. Specify on the check that the donation is for the search effort. The Associated Press contributed to this report. hwolfson@bhamnews.com

nancy drew is going way revisionist on us today.  an ap dispatch is one run on the ap wire.  this one ran on the ap wire.  it was published in am aruba.  i saw it here and in various newspaperes and on the ap site.  it is a genuine ap dispatch.  it was up here at the time and was discussed last night.  nobody diputes its authenticity.   whether the facts are straight is anybody's guess but we are not in a posistion to determine that.  nancy are you a journalist, another one here was.  have you assumed the identity?

These Fox reporters know less than what we know - the one just now said that Beth was with Greta when the interview of both parents was given in their home yesterday - Greta said last nite that Beth declined - wish they knew what they were talking about!

Tuesday nigth, press got notice that FBI Agents stationed in Aruba called the parents of the missing student, Natalee Holloway, for a socalled 'interview"

This gathered immediate attention to the local and international papers. They want to know right away what motive this interview was about. Right away in the news circle, entered a detail that possible the FBI is going to tdo a background check on the parents. But not official in Aruba wants to confirm this. From FBI itself, no one could comment.

At this point, the only things I would rule out are

1) "FBI's hands are tied, they are windsurfing"

2) "abducted for matrimonial purposes by Ethiopian tribesmen"

I m leaning to the idea that maybe the SBF guards may have a hand in this.  Of course unless both Natalee and Joran were also at the SBF.  Isn't it strange that SBF is focus point with all the characters.    Anyways my point is HAZING.  What if after the drop off, Natalee meets up with the students in HI, and they all did one last shotgunning competition.  Nat alcohol level would be high already and passes out cold. The students scared hatch a plan to rid of the body.  How, where and when I do not know., maybe there is a camera in that area between 2-5am?

Hi.  I'm a new member, but I've been reading a lot here in the last few days and I just wanted to say "Hello" to everyone and to ask a question.  Night before last on FOX NEWS, they were previewing (on Shepard Smith's show) Beth Twitty's 90 minute meeting with the van der Sloot's at their home.  Greta said that during her show later Beth was tell why she felt like Natalee had been in the van der Sloot home the night she disappeared.  However, on Greta's show nothing more was mentioned about this that I heard.  Did I missundertand something, or not hear something at all?  Just wondering if anyone had any insight into this.
Thanks, and prayers for Natalee's safe return.

You are correct.  There was no mention of Beth's feeling regarding that subject on Greta's show.

Probably Fox's higher ups (editors, producers, etc.)  restrict parts of these interviews for fear of Aruba saying they compromised the case.

I believe that the AP removed this part of the story, at least I remember hearing it somewhere. Regardless they haven't reported anything similar since then, which certainly makes one wonder how accurate the original report was.  Remember their was and still is and enormous amount of misinformation going around in the case, even from the aruban gov.  Obviously something was wrong about the initial report otherwise they would keep running it.
