so...if your wittle feelings get hurt by me pointing out the obvious - Arubagirl/caligirl - take a look at how "concerned" the official statement come across.....

Sometimes those in 'the wrong" just plain deserve to hear about it.  Ever thought about that?????

Play nice. Don't pick on Cali and Arubagirl.

IT was approx 1a.m. not 3a.m.  it is a bit different.....

I think there has been a debate about that.  We have been saying all along that it was about 1am, but Mr. Twitty said 3am.  Either way, 1am on a school night in a casino is unbelievable.

Dragonfly-

My 17 yr old has been at his friends house till 1am playing poker. His father knew where he was, thats speaks volumes.

You are just trying to place blame.....

You have to admit this Joran Van Der Sloot is one cool customer. If we are to believe he killed Natalee. Look at his immediate actions.

1. He shows up at school the next day and brags about having sex with Natalee.

2. He's back at the casino the next night gambling.

3. When the Twittys show up he was willing to talk to them, it was his dad and Deepak that kept saying "don't say anything"

4. He tells his mom that prison isn't so bad, and that when Natalee shows up he's gonna kick her butt in front of Beth because of all the trouble she's gotten him into.

For a 17 yr old that just comitted a murder? This guy is rock solid. Rolling Eyes

Inspector, I have to concur.

On No. 3; could someone tell me when they heard that Deepak also said to JVDS "don't say anything!"

That would have been the first night the Twittys arrived on the island (the night after Natalee disappeared) Deepak and Joran were outside talking the second time the Twittys arrived at the Van Der Sloot residence.

Inspector I remember Twitty stating that he kept hearing Paulus telling his son "not to say anything." I just don't remember hearing that Deepak said that, also.  Anyone else, too?

Jug Twitty stated that both Papa VDS AND Deepak told Joran not to talk.

OK da wench...thanks for clearing that up...that's what I was looking for

Brenda, it's not ever, EVER allright to post people's phone numbers on a message boards, just because their last name happens to coincide with a member of the prosecution.

Ever think about that?

You are so right!

and then it is not alright to misquote me...i have NEVER put the croes name on the internet....but have provided the links to anyone listed in the phone book.

i AM guilty of posting all publicly listed numbers for all Aruban officials, as well as the VDS family and Kelpoe family.....  They deserve to be contacted - and if you were to quote me correctly - in writing....

A mass quantity of mail - and i did suggest snail mail - to these families is not a bad idea.  If they have any morals at all they would demand their sons tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Quote me correctly next time, ok?  I am quite sure you are capable of that....

I am hardly as much a troll as you are a lady, sweetie.  If we're having a misunderstanding, than I apologize beforehand. If, however, I read your last post correctly, you tried to blame your passing judgment of Anita VdS on my interpretation.

You don't know her. You really don't know anything about her, and unless you're a qualified therapist, what you were engaging in previously with Brenda was idle gossip. All we know is that she is caught up in this and had, as far as we know, nothing to do with it. It could happen to any mother.

I've edited my former post. Not because I'm a troll.  Just because you weren't worth it.

Have a nice day.[/b]

I thought Anita, in her own way, was revealing her own sense of guilt to Greta, by showing the Natalee prayer card and Christmas angel in their living room.

I also felt Joran's mom was trying to mitigate, and somehow justify her son's deplorable actions by explaining how her son had been dumped by an American girlfriend who said he was 'too sweet' and not enough of a man for her.

I don't think Mrs VDS has anything to do with it. I could be wrong though.

I don't, for a second, believe AVDS had anything to do w/ NH's disappearance.  I do believe, however, she knows full well what her son (and husband) did, and while she's presently in too deep a state of denial to openly acknowledge it to the world on TV, her putting up NH's prayer card and the angel, are her own way of recognizing and showing the angst of her family's culpability.

They were all put in the same cell when they were first arrested on June 9.

Exactly.  And that is the impression I have here.  Once again, I go back to when the Twittys arrived at the VDS home at 3am and they are told that Joran is at the casino (on a school night).  I think daddy let Joran do many things he shouldn't have been doing and I think he helped Joran clean up his messes.  I feel differently about the mother and I'll kick myself in the butt if I'm wrong, but I truly believe that at this point she is trying so hard to believe in her husband and her son, but inside she it being torn apart.  You can just see it in her.  There very well may be more people involved here, but I believe most of them are "after the fact".

Arubagirl?
I have a question on this maybe you could clarify? It is my understanding Joran took his final exams, therefore when did school get out because there has never been one report to support that is was in fact a school night.

I am curious.

I can believe that AVDS is the type of person and mother who is out of touch with her older son. Sometimes a father takes over the son's world at the later age of teenhood. The father becomes the law and regulator and the female of the family has virtually no say. So, the question still is "what did AVDS know and when did she know it"? . My best guess is this woman was kept in the dark for much of it, but she had to have seen or heard something strange or out of place that night.

What is the buzz??? what do we all think???  Something 'bad' happened and Joran didn't know what to do - so he called Dad and they conspired together to not ruin the family name???

Well, I'm beginning to wonder this.  If there is rumor that the brothers are going to be released (I know that's not even close to being confirmed) and all of the other recent events point me in that direction.  There was Deepak and Satish changing their story and placing JVDS as the last one with her on the beach.  There was talk of changing stories in the interrogation of the 3 all together where Joran was saying one of the brothers picked him up and when they denied that he said the other brother did.  Then there is daddy being arrested.  I think the brothers tried to cover Joran's a-s until it got to hot and then turned on him.  Maybe Deepak got Croes to try to be an alibi by saying he saw them drop them off and that's why he was held.  But I think this may be coming down to Joran and his daddy.

WELL DRAGONFLY There very well could be more folks involved.  But Joran was the one who supposedly was with her.  Whether it was just kissing or more.  I too would think it boils down to those 2 - Joran & Dad.
And let's face it, most parents who are known to spoil their children do anything and everything to help make matters worse.

This may be re-hash but just saw it on fox-news.com:

ORANJESTAD, Aruba — While the father of Joran van der Sloot (search), the 17-year-old held in Aruba, was himself arrested Thursday, the teenager's mother said her son has changed the story he initially gave police.

Joran van der Sloot, 17, and friends Deepak Kalpoe, 21, and Satish Kalpoe, 18, first told police that they dropped off Natalee at the Holiday Inn where she was staying.

But Joran's mother, Anita van der Sloot, told The Associated Press on Thursday that her son now tells a different story. Her son now admits to being alone with Natalee on a beach but insists he did not hurt her, Anita van der Sloot said.

That puts chills down my spine!!!!
