I have to say, I didn't think much of it before, but when I saw the Greta interview with the Van der Sloot's,  I noticed that Palus did not make real eye contact with Greta when answering her questions.  He also gave short answers.   Also, his look was one more like fear than upset.

Now, Mrs Van der Sloot looks like she has been through the ringer and really has no idea what is going on.  I would say she was not kept in the loop of information.

Will be interesting to see where this all goes.

I feel bad for Anita. Anyone notice has she's gone to looking haggard and comletely out of it now?

Did anyone answer your question?  I think they're referring to Lorenzo van Rijn.

anyone here heard anything about this LORENZO and how he is involved? and how he possibly has NATALEE?????

new information is unfolding....
I've been asking about Lorenzo for days!  Can't turn up any search info on him.  Begining to wonder if he's for real!

I think he's compelling, too; he just seems shady. I want him to be involved because it seems like if he is Natalee will still be alive. I can't get any info on him either, though.

Lorenzo is selling live chinchillas...

You're next, Lorenzo Van Rijn!!

Lorenzo van Gijn. Alleged illegitimate son of Paulus v.d.Sloot. About 23 y.o. [Step?]father owned VW dealership and hung himself three years ago. Lorenzo said to be a little crazy. Rumored to have a basement at his house -- rare for Aruban houses.

PS-Does anyone from AL want a kitten?

LOL,I'd love one but I have 1 male cat, a female cat who LIVES in my bedroom and two beagles, sorry...OH yeah and SweetiePie the black russian hamster Mr. Green

It needs a home...somebody..anybody...I swear...my mom's coming back in the country on Saturday and if she finds out I brought another stray to the vet and then HOME I'm on trouble. It's really cute! Someone please want it!

MBHS..do you have no-kill shelter's there?

Not that I know of...I wish, becuase then I'd have somewhere to take it. I can't just let it be put to sleep...

Here in our local newspapers we can put an animal online if it is free.  Maybe that will work?

They say to NEVER advertise a pet for free- as they fear that people take them to labs for terrible animal testing and also for fear of feding large snakes etc..  I am being very serious--

It isn't going anywhere unless I can meet its new mommy and daddy first. Hopefully I can give him to myold barn, but they just got three new kittens and aren't thrilled about having 4.

Cali, I think if it were just to make him talk, they would arrest his mom.  His dad has already been brought in for questioning at least twice.

The way this thing is going, she could be next but it could also be a respectful issue that she has not, she's got two other kids at home etc.

I do expect her to brought in for questioning.

Questioning only to see what PVDS has said to her. She was out of the country til Wed of that week.

From Riehl World:
Breaking
Van der Sloot Father arrested.

Update: Brief communication from island - at least some in search party feel optimistic they will find Natalee soon - I'm unable to say why, or if just a feeling - hope to have more tonight.

EquuSearch head said to be arriving today, will review previous findings and team will set strategy for search when rest of group arrives.

Not sure I understand the optimism.

Ah, ok!  Thanks for the clarification.  That dad does look AWFULLY nervous all the time.  Sweating, etc.  And I thought it was really bizarre last night, during the interview, that he got up to answer the phone!

And also, this has probably already been discussed, but did anyone think it odd that he "couldn't remember if he woke Joran up" for school the next morning?  WTF?  How do you not know?

Maybe Nat and Joran went into the Marriott Casino for late night gambling and Dad was there....Dad/Joran suggested Nat come back to there house for a swim.  Nat thinks its ok, its his Dad should be safe, but Dad decides he wants a piece.  Dad forces himself, kills her...Joran protecting Dad.

Maybe, Videos were reviewed and Forensics are back from both Cars/Home.

Joran lies to K brothers telling about an accident, please cover for me

Doesn't fit PVDS picked Joran at Mcd's at 11pm to make curfew, why the change in atittude as a parent?

Hey everyone.
He also made that statement "I still believe my son" like he might change that position (perhaps when push comes to shove and he needs to save his own skin).

ok....is time for a bit of my "sick humor" again....

anyone else notice Aruba's comments about not being "cowboys" and then locking up papa vds as soon as we round up some of our fellow boys from Texas - our COWBOYS -

personnally, as a person FROM TEXAS - the state known all over the USA for being brutal towards scumbags that rape/kill or do other disgusting acts - Aruba could most certainly benefit from our "cowboys" getting over there and "helping out"

That HORRID Leno. Public Enemy #1 (to many on this board), no doubt. That attitude reeks of, "Mommy, make the bad people stop talking," which is the response from supposed adults on SB when they are faced with ideas/theories other than their own.

"Daddy, Mr. Leno told a joke that hurt my wittle feewings. Can you pweeze turn the tv off since I'm too stupid and too sensitive to get up and do it myself?"

More to the point: Those MB'ers were given a pass and some of them shoud be in the hot-seat along w/ Sly and the Family Sloot.

The FBI is spending MY tax dollars on this case. IF it turns out to be a murder, then bravo to the (usually) bumbling feds, who are much more adept at trashing civil rights of private citizens here in U.S. IF case turns out to be runaway OR self-administered accidental overdose OR party-girl who died as a result of her own foolishness in some way or other, THEN I'm going to petition the Twittys for a refund of my hard-earned tax money. Michelle Malkin is correct in categorizing the media's psychopathy as Missing Pretty-Girl Syndrome.

So, we'll see. REMEMBER, right now nh's status is ALLEGED victim, a fact lost on most of the social-worker/support-group types who are little more than victims' rights advoctates here on SM board.

P.S. A McDonald's on the tropical island of Aruba? Hmmm. What is their most popular menu item? Ans: The "Don't-Worry-Be-Happy Meal." ( I think the Hamburglar did it!!!!!!)

More importantly, think back to the statement that Deepak's mother can not speak or visit him but she can speak/visit with Satish..

hmmm

I recall at one point that an Aruban lawyer stated that in their system a parent has the same visiting privileges as an attorney if the accused is under a certain age.  I don't remember what the age was but the discussion was applicable to Joran.  Deepak is 21 correct?  And Satish is 18.  Perhaps if the age is 18 or below this could explain why the mother could see one and not the other.

Thanks all, for clearing up the Lorenzo confusion on my end!  Very interesting.  WOW, I'd love it if she were still alive, but my question is...WHY would they keep her alive in some guys basement?  Any speculation as to what the point would be?
