New York Yankees legend Yogi Berra passed away late Tuesday night.

Berra played for the Yankees for 18 seasons, and one season with the New York Mets. He later coached both teams.

The Major League Baseball Hall of Fame catcher won three Most Valuable Player awards. He was an 18-time All-Star catcher, and a 10-time World Series champion.

Berra died 69 years after he made his debut with the Yankees on September 22, 1948. He hit a home run in that game.

Yogi Berra was 90 years old.
