Jeez, you guys, can we just QUIT with the phone numbers already? Brenda obviously thought she was doing a GOOD thing - holy cow, I didn't think we had to discuss this for the next 30 pages.

You all are willing to cut Joran some slack, and a lot of you were posting days ago to give Poppa VDS some slack - but you can't forgive Brenda??????

We forgave Brenda. Move on.

'Thank you.

Inspector:

I have been reading your points this afternoon, and have a question about tone of them. Number 1. I know we have heard that mr. VDS told joran to stop talking to kids at scholl about this, according to his mother last pm on GVS. But where have we heard he bragged about having sex with her?............just asking, no offense intended

I believe Anita knows what happened because I watched Greta say to her:

(Paraphrasing) Your son...honor student, good athlete, getting ready to start college in the US, a bright future to look forward to...so why is he sitting in prison right now?

Anita couldn't hold it together any longer. She snapped, and broke down in tears, no longer capable of masking the intense pain that comes with acknowledging that future for her son will never be.

Jeezz........I wonder why a mother snappes and break down on this!!

Could it be maybe she is in real pain or something? Just a guess....
And it has nothing to do with if she "KNOWS" something!

But could she react like any other mother or human being who is in that same situation like she is??

just a thought...... Cool  Rolling Eyes

She most certainly is in real pain.  And, if you care to speculate any other reason she would be besides knowing WHY her son is in prison, I'm all ears...

Until I hear the words "charged with a crime" I will be fair enough to take her emotions as they are. Her son is in jail, held as a suspect.

Anita had kept her composure until Greta asked that very question, which triggered a spontaneous emotional reaction.

She's a very shrewd lawyer.  The framing of the question was deliberate, and it worked.

If, by some incomprehendible circumstance, the truth is that her son is not responsible for Natalee's disappearance, his life, in no way, is ruined.  In fact, he would likely be exonerated by the court of public opinion as another victim in this tragedy, as well as in the Aruban legal system.

You have to admit this Joran Van Der Sloot is one cool customer. If we are to believe he killed Natalee. Look at his immediate actions.

1. He shows up at school the next day and brags about having sex with Natalee.

2. He's back at the casino the next night gambling.

3. When the Twittys show up he was willing to talk to them, it was his dad and Deepak that kept saying "don't say anything"

4. He tells his mom that prison isn't so bad, and that when Natalee shows up he's gonna kick her butt in front of Beth because of all the trouble she's gotten him into.

For a 17 yr old that just comitted a murder? This guy is rock solid.

Inspector, I have to concur.

Don't forget also that he drove with them back to the HI to "show them where he dropped Natalee off."  That little tidbit blew my mind.

Oh yeah. That's cold-blooded. I don't see how there could be any doubt he has done something to Natalee. You know Beth was just frantic with worry when this happened.

I think it's accidental death caused by Joran also, due to the lying.

If it was something that he had absolutely nothing do with, he would have told what happened a long time ago.

We really need more to go on but I think it was a accident and I don't think Joran knows where she is because daddy took care of everything.
