Muffy, could you do a bit of localized searching to see if this man was safe or dead? He isn't listed as missing anymore. TY

It appears that this isn't the first time he has disappeared. This article dated 1992. I cross checked kids names mentioned in the article to names on the above facebook that Klaas found. He also list on his FB as being from Seattle, WA.

Missing Man Quickly Found By TV Program

Times Staff: Times News Services

BELLEVUE

A Renton man who disappeared two years ago, leaving a wife and two children behind, has been found alive and well and tending bar in Florida, police here say.

George Minorchio, a liquor salesman, disappeared in the fall of 1990. His wife and daughter recently appeared on "The Maury Povich Show" in a segment about children coping with the disappearance of their fathers.

Minorchio's photograph appeared during the show, inspiring "15 to 20 phone calls" to Bellevue police Lt. Ed Mott indicating Minorchio had been sighted in Florida.

Minorchio worked there for 18 months without changing his name, Mott said. "He told them that he was divorced with no kids," Mott said.
 ::snipping2::
Theresa Minorchio, 40, was watching herself and her daughter, Megan, 14, on the show July 9 when Mott called to tell her Minorchio had been found
 ::snipping2::
Since he disappeared, Theresa Minorchio has sold the family's home to pay bills, and undergone a double mastectomy and chemotherapy for breast cancer. Their son Michael, now 17, dropped out of school.

She spoke with her husband on the phone after he was found.

"I said, `What happened, why did you do this?' He said, `I don't know. I just flipped out.' He said he couldn't handle being a husband and a father anymore," she said.
