Thanks Red & cw618 for posting pics.  I am very familiar with the nightclub she worked at, I hope no one followed her from there.  I'm also not sure why her boyfriend had scratches on his face.  Like I said b4 I can't remember how to post pics.

Family plans another public search for Toni Anderson, last seen by KCPD Sunday
Josh Helmuth
5:53 PM, Jan 18, 2017
6:32 PM, Jan 21, 2017

"She stated to the officer that she was almost out of gas. There was a QuikTrip real close. So the officer told her there's a gas station right there. Gave her a warning for the violation. And watched her actually go to the QuikTrip. That's the last place we've seen her," said Snapp.

Below is a Sunday timeline of Anderson's activity based on what police, friends and family have told 41 Action News:

4:05 a.m. - According to KCPD, left work. Friends say from Chrome night club -7400 E Highway 40, Kansas City, Missouri.

4:25 a.m. - According to KCPD, she was pulled over by North KC police for illegal lane change. Officer saw Anderson pull into QT at 2525 Burlington to pump gas.

4:33 a.m. - According to her family's bank records, she had a declined transaction at an unknown QuikTrip.

4:42 a.m. - Anderson sent last text to friend saying "omg just just pulled over again."

4:53 a.m. - Anderson received last incoming text from unidentified number.

KCPD is not releasing dashcam footage from the stop because of the ongoing investigation; same is true regarding security cam footage from QuikTrip.

Police still haven’t located Toni Anderson’s 2014 black Ford Focus. However, the family told 41 Action News Thursday that detectives were able to retrieve GPS information from their insurance company, which they hope will be a clue to help locate their daughter.

"They have not shared with us any specific information, but they did confirm that the insurance company did provide them that information,” said Brain Anderson, Toni’s father.

Mother of missing co-ed says body found in submerged is her daughter
by Ellen Killoran
March 13, 2017

Toni Anderson’s mother says police told her the death was accidental

The mother of a missing Wichita woman whose body was found with her submerged car this weekend told reporters that police do not suspect foul play in her daughter’s death.

Toni Anderson, 20, went missing in the early morning hours of January 15 after leaving her job at a Kansas City club. Reportedly on her way to meet friends, Anderson was stopped by a police officer for an improper lane change and given a warning. The officer later said he saw the young woman drive into a gas station at a convenience store. That was the last time she was seen.

The mother, Lori Anderson, told the Kansas City Star on Sunday that investigators told her the body in the car belonged to Toni, though they have not yet made a public identification. She also said the death appears to have been accidental.

“There was no foul play, “Anderson told the newspaper. “I’m so grateful for that.

Anderson said she believes her daughter became confused while driving — perhaps because she was upset about being pulled over — and ended up on a boat ramp near the river.

She got freaked out. She got lost and she got confused, or whatever. It was still dark. She was on the boat ramp and tried to back out. The ramp was icy and she slid into the river.

According to the Kansas City Star, the window of the car was open and Toni’s seatbelt was off when the car was found. She was fully clothed.

The medical examiner is performing an autopsy to determine the precise cause of death, after which the body will reportedly be cremated.

I truly wish I had the time and resources in place to cover this girl's disappearance and now,  death.

I realize that some may view her situation differently because of her lifestyle choices - I get that.  However,  Toni Anderson is no less deserving of truth and transparency as to how she ended up in her car in the bottom of the MO river from a boat launch with her cell phone pinging miles away for an additional 12 + hours.  And according to her Mom, that phone was found in her purse in the car.

I do not wish to be insensitive or cruel in any way.  I have worked with numerous parents of missing and ultimately recovered deceased children, two sets in particular that I would suggest were of adult kids that had made lifestyle choices that contributed to their deaths, but were at the hands of another (homicide).  There is no doubt in my mind whatsoever, having been the pilot in those journeys for a time, that in the end those parents would not have preferred to learn their beloved was the victim of an accident.   Some fate-based inexplicable accident that allowed the unfortunate reality of their circumstances to remain hidden and a shame-free road to healing begins- once again, I get that.   Hell, if I am being honest, I have even hoped for that option many a time.  I can only imagine what an easier conversation those might have been.

That said,  with the utmost compassion and respect- I need to say these parents need to get their heads out of their asses and do right by this child.

One thing I have learned over these years is that the dead (victims) have their say one way or another- the Universe plays a role.  I don't mean to sound all sci-fi or paranormal as that is not what I am saying- I am saying that in cases I have worked on personally I can tell you as a point of fact that "souls" have a contributory role in outcome many times and no amount of burying ones head in the sand will change it.   I pray for Toni, her family and loved ones and I pray for truth, wherever that leads.

Blink, I totally get it.  I am friends with the owner of the club and know for a fact they make sure these girls are escorted to their cars and are safe when leaving.  I just feel like her boyfriend is responsible, maybe I'm wrong.
