Goldman Sachs asks in biotech research report: 'Is curing patients a sustainable business model?'

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/04/11/goldman-asks-is-curing-patients-a-sustainable-business-model.html

How much profit is too much?  Who should pay for all the profits?  Where are the refunds for drugs that don't work?

I see adds in consumer magazines and in media for all kinds of drugs that might help.  There are always new birth control pills, diabetes medications, high blood pressure meds, meds to 'help' any complaint, lot of ads promoting miracle for seemingly any condition people complain about.  New treatments for cancer, thing for other incurable diseases and conditions.  For some reason it seems like  yesterday's miracle treatments  turn into tomorrow's 'call a lawyer, 1-800-, class action, for harmful drugs'?

Are these drugs free?  Offered at a fair price?  Is money refunded to patients and their insurance company when the drugs or treatments don't work and the doctor prescribes another course of treatment?  Each treatment that seems to cost more and more?  Covered by some insurance and not all?

Why haven't insurance / healthcare premiums been lowered for everyone under Obamacare?  Why isn't everything free for everyone including those who pay premiums with or without subsidy, employers, and anyone who comes to the United States?  No more taxes to pay politician healthcare or subisdies?

Where is the option for those that do not believe in the endless blank check for healthcare?  Those who do not want coverage for goods and services they do not believe in?  Where is the coverage for people who want just basic coverage?

It seems that curing people isn't a sustainable profit model.  Where is the choice to choose sustainable healthcare?  If someone wants a lot of care, lots of service and high profit never ending drugs and treatment, I think they should be available and those using them should pay.  Money should not be extracted from those who want to make other choices.  Would finding a cure for addictions to illegal drugs be a sustainable business model?

For some reason, there is a push to encourage people to engage in risky behavior that can decrease their lifespan, and increase their reliance on expensive drug and treatment programs.  Where are the advertisements for prevention?  Common sense?  Lower cost sustainable treatment plans for disease?

Curing disease doesn't seem to be a sustainable profit model.  Why are disease and drug addiction expenses ever increasing in the United States?  Is there a difference today between addiction to legal or illegal drugs and substances?  Excessive 'health' insurance premiums destroy families.  Addiction to illegal drugs destroy families.  When does common sense return to healthcare and addictions?    What happened to individual choice and responsibility to pay for the choice?  Why do elites determine (people who receive the best care and don't have to dig in their pockets to pay for it)  what is best for everyone?  Shift the cost for ever increasing profits to a shrinking pool of working families?
