From Joran's June 10th Statement:

Before the girl went missing I was also under treatment of a psychologist. This was because I had taken 50 euro's from my dad and also took money from my mother and I used my brothers mobile phone without asking for permission and after that I had broken the chip from his mobile phone. I also once fought with my brother in Miami but we are good friends now.

Okay - I ask you...Would someone need to be under treatment of a psychologist for taking money, breaking a cell phone & a fight with a brother?

I am not saying that what he did was right, in stealing etc. but - Common sense tells me this is NOT the reason for treatment.  I venture to guess this was the LEAST of the reasons he was under treatment.

Does it strike anyone odd that Satish's statment on June 10th is completely different than that of Joran & Deepak?  It appears that those "interogating" (LOL- sarcasm) just let him ramble - did they ask any specific questions of him?  Why is his interview SO different?  Why not ask him specific questions?  Could it be because of the ineptness of the officers?  Or another reason?  You would think they would have some "line" of questioning to stick to....Again, I know - it's Aruba we are talking about! Rolling Eyes

there WAS another reason...he could NOT REMEMBER WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSE TO SAY! ALE knew that, so they stall...??

I just want to put my feelings out there on the statements.. Its almost like they had a paper with questions that they were allowed to asked and therefore the officer could not asked something that wasn't agree upon.. The questions and answers are way too odd for me to understand..

I assume they had 10 days to go over what the police had and those meeting at the pool were cram courses for the arrest..  The sad thing is that they failed the test but I guess the passing score in Aruba is very low..

There's another aspect of this that has me curious Kimmy53.

Anita and Paul don't seem to be the 'proactive parent' type to seek out this help for their delicious sporter. Especially for fighting with his brother.

I wonder if it was 'court ordered' counseling?

I agree.  They just leave us with more questions that were never asked.  If we are asking these questions, shouldnt a professional interrogator have asked them as well?

I assume that when the suspect got a question that they couldn't remember the answer that they would look at their attorney for help..  I assume they might of had some agreement of a cough or something to let the suspect if they answered correctly.. Kind of like in elementary school, when we all spoke Pig Latin and thought we could swear in front of the teacher without her knowing it. Boy, we were idiots.  Well these investigators were idiots.. I think the PIMPS enjoyed their little sessions..

snip from Whytegirl's post:

“We created the division “Meet Aruba” because we felt an emptiness in how we traded the segment of conventions and meetings in the United States, and have exported the roll for Canada and Puerto Rico”, the executive explained, who added that that Caribbean country [Aruba] has many qualities to attract the market that it persecutes."

A fortuitous typo or mistranslation or whatever.

copied from today's GretaWire:

E-mail No. 10

Dear Greta,
Just got back from Aruba from our yearly vacation there. This time was so different. I think Natalee Holloway is getting back on them.
Apparently the island is inundated with crime due to drugs. My husband and I have been going there for over 12 years and have always felt safe until now. We were robbed of over $3000 worth of stuff on the beach last week during our visit.
They try so desperately to keep it secret — I learned this from the natives. However, the week before us there was another robbery on the beach — denied by the management of our resort (of course, due to public relations, etc.) Two days after we were robbed, so were my friends. A couple we met were robbed at the Lighthouse while visiting the beach! Three natives told me their homes were broken into! The crime is rampant on the island and word needs to get out. We type messages on the Aruban message boards to warn people and they do not get posted.
I had the pleasure of taunting Deepak Kalpoe at his place of business and then seeing Joran van der Sloot in the old Wyndham casino the night he was freed from the NY lawsuit. He walked in there with such arrogance that I wanted to punch him out! People in the casino that work there patted him on the back with such celebration it made me sick! The island reeks of corruption! The natives speak of Beth Twitty as a drunken slut who fixed the whole story. I met her last year late at night and she was sober as sober can be!
I have been going to Aruba for so many years — it was my home away from home. However, after being robbed on the beach, meeting Deepak and seeing Joran in action, I am totally confused! It is obvious (and spoken by the natives) that the government is so corrupt. I no longer feel safe in Aruba. How is it that Natalee is missing and these arrogant, low-life a__holes are walking free!

I need to walk those streets.  I need to smell the air drift across the hot asphalt.  The smell of iodine drifting toward a bar.  I just need to know.

Yes Sharon - and according to Anita & Paulus, Joran was a perfect student, athlete, volunteer etc.  Why the need for treatment?  Innocent Joran???  I THINK NOT!

of course...purposely leaving out important questions so nothing would stick. Everything is so obvious as in cover-up and anyone who does NOT see this is blind beyond comprehension. Apparently ALE thinks we as Americans are stupid in orders of law and questioning. I KNOW their laws are diferent, but DAMN......it is SO OBVIOUS that they all lied because they know what really happened. OK....call in the dentist and let us pull some teeth!!>?? WTH??

Windsor,

Wow and people are still going there??  I just wish they would go and not come back and just stay on the island.. I think losing $3,000 is a very small price vs that this couple could of been killed..  JetBlue, I wonder if your wondering if maybe they should rethink their schedule..

The line of questioning just kills me.... What color was the cup you got your drink in? I think that was the best.  Great detective work guys!

Yes they know what happened. Obvious is the key word.  Makes me sick.

Quote from: "San"
FROM JORAN'S JUNE 10TH STATEMENT:

To your question how much alcoholic beverages I can drink before I get drunk, I answer you the following. I can handle my alcohol. Since my 15th year I have been drinking alcohol. I am a social drinker. I think that before I start feeling tipsy I have to drink a crate of beer. I cannot answer you how many rum and whisky's I have to drink before I get drunk. If I drink normal glasses of alcoholic beverages I would have to drink twenty (20) to thirty (30) glasses before I get drunk. If I get drunk I feel tired and want to sleep. I do not get irritated when I get drunk.

I think he is a nasty drunk.

I think you are right San..my thoughts exactly when I read that.

Thanks for the article windsor!  I think this type of information should be shouted from the roof tops.  Of course Aruba is going to deny this.  They will have no record of the robberies.

The place is on the verge of imploding.
